Summary
Nan Zhiyi has always preferred uncomplicated flings, but a drunken night with nineteen-year-old courier Hai Yan leaves her facing a woman who refuses to be dismissed as a passing mistake. What begins as teasing attraction grows into a fiercely devoted romance—one Nan Zhiyi is too afraid to trust. Convinced that love will inevitably end in abandonment, she runs first and wounds them both. Four years later, Hai Yan returns, older, angrier, and determined to uncover the truth. To find their way home, one must stop lying, and the other must decide whether love can survive the cruelest kind of cowardice.
