365 Days Locked Love with a Mermaid - Chapter 4
After dinner, Ji Huaixing went straight into the bathroom. I sat on the sofa, fiddling with my phone.
Just then, Jiang Nan sent me a voice message, his tone almost crying.
[Sangsang, I’m drunk. Can you come pick me up?]
I glanced at the time.
It was eleven thirty at night.
I sneered and replied to him.
[Sure, Jiang Nan, I’ll come get you. You must wait for me, don’t leave, you have to wait for me! Wait for me!]
After sending the voice message, I didn’t hesitate to turn off my phone and toss it aside.
Idiot, you’d better wait forever.
Pulling myself out of my thoughts, I suddenly felt a chill on my back.
Shrinking my shoulders, I turned to look.
Ji Huaixing stood there, damp all over, wearing shorts and a short-sleeved shirt that looked like a school uniform. He stared at me motionlessly, a dark glint flickering in his eyes.
I smiled with curved eyes, “Ji…”
He ignored me with a cold face, retreated into the bathroom, and slammed the door shut with a bang.
I jumped in surprise, then realized he must have overheard my voice message and misunderstood.
Thinking this, I hurriedly got up to knock on the door.
Just as I reached the door, the bathroom door swung open with a whoosh.
I rushed to explain, “Ji Huaixing…”
But I stopped mid-sentence, stunned.
Ji Huaixing had changed out of the shorts and shirt, his upper body bare, wrapped only in a bath towel. Water dripped from his hair, beads rolling down his firm chest and tracing his merman lines into the towel.
I stared, unable to help swallowing, forgetting what I wanted to say.
Ji Huaixing lowered his eyes. “Going out?”
I snapped back to reality. “Ah, I’m not…”
Ji Huaixing’s mood was low as he stepped closer. “…Will you come back?”
I instinctively nodded, then quickly shook my head. “I’m not going out, Ji Huaixing, I won’t go pick him up…”
Suddenly, Ji Huaixing’s legs gave out and he leaned against me all at once.
I nervously supported him. “Ji Huaixing! What’s wrong?”
Ji Huaixing’s face was a little flushed. He blinked, looking at me innocently. “Xiaoyu, I think I stayed in the bathroom too long. I’m short of oxygen, my head’s dizzy.”
“Short of oxygen?”
I anxiously touched his forehead. “What should I do? Sit down first, I’ll get you some water.”
He looked up weakly. “Okay.”
I hurriedly poured Ji Huaixing some water.
Qiqi and Baba in the living room started screeching again.
[Gah gah, fishing type! Green tea! Fishing type green tea paired with a fool!]
I had no time to deal with the two of them.
But as I turned, I seemed to see Ji Huaixing lift his foot without hesitation and kick each of them.
The two birds shot out instantly.
Ji Huaixing drank the water and leaned back on the sofa with his eyes closed, resting.
I sat beside him, my gaze involuntarily falling on him again.
Ji Huaixing’s eyes were half closed, his head tilted back, relaxed against the sofa, exposing his sharp jawline and sexy, prominent Adam’s apple.
Looking higher, I could see his moist, soft lips glistening under the light.
Suddenly, I felt a little thirsty.
This stinky fish, how can he look so tempting?
I shook my head hard and got up to find something to do.
Completely unaware.
Behind me, Ji Huaixing opened his eyes, a sly glint flashing through them as he gazed at me quietly.
