I pointed to Meng Xi in the room. “It’s your turn.”

Bai Chuan pressed his lips together, ultimately said nothing, and stepped into the room.

I followed behind him, watching as Meng Xi examined him.

As expected of the merfolk, she didn’t need any instruments-just a touch and she could tell what illness the patient had.
