Lu Beijiu pulled a Wooden Fishing Boat over. After jumping onto the boat, he signaled for them to come aboard.

“Your headquarters is on the water?”

As Gu Huaiwei jumped onto the boat, it rocked slightly. Lu Beijiu reached out to steady her, reminding her to watch her step.

“It’s not on the water, but under it.” Lu Beijiu pointed a finger mysteriously toward the bottom of the boat.

He poled the small fishing boat, leading them further out into the deep ocean.

Gu Huaiwei leaned toward Lin She and whispered, “Are you a good swimmer?”

“I can float.”

“Then when you float, can I use you like a raft to paddle back to shore?” Gu Huaiwei had prepared an off-road vehicle, a motorcycle, and even some mountain-climbing gear in her bracelet, but she had neglected to prepare a boat.

A miscalculation, a total miscalculation.

Lin She replied without a hint of humor, “I won’t let you sink.”

Gu Huaiwei nodded solemnly. “I believe you.”

She actually knew how to swim, but that was limited to swimming pools. Pool water was clear, with no wind or waves-it was a completely different story from the open ocean.

As the Wooden Fishing Boat moved further out, Gu Huaiwei spotted a pitch-black Submarine on the surface of the sea not far away.

The Submarine looked like a sleeping giant whale, floating lonely on the bottomless ocean. Red indicator lights on both sides of the hull flashed on and off, like the eyes of a great whale in the abyss.

A Rope Ladder was tossed from the Submarine into the small fishing boat.

The group climbed the Rope Ladder onto the Submarine and entered its interior.
