“Rooms? Both king and twin rooms are fully booked. Now there are only four themed rooms left, three hundred a night. Take your pick.”

Gu Huaiwei adjusted her angle in front of the bodyguard’s camera.

Shooting from the side made her face look smaller.

Ever since her training, Gu Huaiwei’s strength had increased rapidly.

The woman in front of her was pampered, with slender wrists, and couldn’t break free from Gu Huaiwei’s grip at all.

“Just filming, not staying-is that okay?” The woman in the purple qipao clearly wasn’t interested in the rooms.

She couldn’t sit still and secretly reached out with her other hand to touch the back of Gu Huaiwei’s hand.

She wanted to see if the female clerk in front of her was real or fake.

“No. Our hotel does not provide filming-only services.”

Gu Huaiwei slapped her hand away.

“Ouch, so fierce.”

The woman in the purple qipao looked at her swollen hand and turned to her brother for help.

Dressed in a red Tang suit, the man named Xiao Hao spoke in a hostile tone: “Hey, filthy outsider, let go of my sister.”

“Answer my question first. Are you staying or not?”

Gu Huaiwei tightened her grip slightly.

If they dared say no, Gu Huaiwei would have the Defense Robot throw them out immediately.

The woman in the purple qipao winced in pain, licking her rosy lips: “Sister, let go. Not only will I stay, I could even spend the night with you, hehe.”

This joke left Gu Huaiwei cold.

“Spending the night with me isn’t the room rate.” Gu Huaiwei replied indifferently, only interested in the Gold Coin in their accounts.

The man in the red Tang suit eyed Gu Huaiwei warily, while the bodyguards behind him grew restless.

Gu Huaiwei saw through his intentions, raised her slender brows and warned, “Go ahead, let your bodyguards try. Let’s see whose guns are faster-yours or my hotel’s state-of-the-art Defense Robot.”

The advanced robots were enough to intimidate these troublemakers.

Business was meant to be peaceful.

If the other side didn’t want peace, Gu Huaiwei would never show mercy.

The air seemed to freeze in an instant, and only their tense breathing could be heard.

The woman in the purple qipao coughed, breaking the standoff first.

“Alright, alright, just kidding.

We’ll stay, fine. We’ll take all four rooms.”

She tapped her lips to the display on her arm and said generously, “Swipe the card-four rooms for seven days. Is that enough?”

“Seven days, is that enough?” Gu Huaiwei’s lips curled slightly, but she still didn’t let go.

“You’re so greedy.” The woman in the purple qipao looked at Gu Huaiwei with puppy eyes. “Fine, four rooms, we’ll stay for half a month.”

Gu Huaiwei did the math in her head and found the price acceptable.

“Eighteen thousand in total.”

The man in the Tang suit hurried forward to stop her, frowning: “Sis, don’t be so wasteful. We’re here to expose fakes, not to spend Gold Coin.”

“It’s fine, I’ll use your card. This bill goes on you.” The woman in the purple qipao turned off her own display, grabbed the man’s wrist with a smile, and dragged him to the hotel terminal to swipe his card.

The man in the Tang suit was clearly helpless against his sister.

Once the Gold Coin arrived, Gu Huaiwei released her grip.

The woman’s wrist was already ringed with red.

She was still smiling, her eyes darting around Gu Huaiwei, not angry at all.

This pair of siblings in front of her:

The sister was named Lu Ziyi.

The brother was named Lu Hao.

Both were from the Fifth District, green status.

Before heading upstairs, Lu Hao threw out a threat, saying he would expose the hotel’s scam and then mobilize his family’s forces in the Lower District to tear down Gu Huaiwei’s shabby hotel.
Faced with his provocation, Gu Huaiwei used the livestream to goad him: “What if it’s real? Would you be willing to sign up for a membership card?”

“Hmph.” Lu Hao didn’t respond.

He had money, but he didn’t want to spend it recklessly.

The eighteen thousand Gold Coins just spent already made his heart ache.

His father was the District Chief, but with so many women and children, he and his sister only got two thousand Gold Coins each month.

He had saved up those eighteen thousand Gold Coins for a long time.

Lu Ziyi, meanwhile, leaned on her brother’s shoulder and said, “If your room looks exactly like the pictures on the forum, my brother and I will each sign up for a membership card here. But if it’s fake, how about you cut off your right hand and give it to me? Your hand is so strong, it hurt when you squeezed me. I want to take it back as a souvenir, hehehe.”

Gu Huaiwei looked at the slightly deranged woman. “That’s fine, but how can I trust you’ll keep your word?”

Lu Ziyi pointed at the camera, her finger resting on her red lips. “Relax, the Underground City livestream will bear witness for us. I won’t go back on my word.”

“Alright.” Gu Huaiwei spread her hands. “Let’s make the bet bigger. If it’s real, you two will spend a hundred thousand Gold Coins here. If it’s fake, I’ll give you both my hands.”

“Hahahahaha.” Lu Ziyi’s shoulders shook, a suppressed laughter squeezed out from deep in her throat. Soon, the laughter grew louder, filled with an indescribable madness. “Sister, I really do like your confidence.”

Lu Ziyi might be crazy, but she had come prepared.

The pictures Gu Huaiwei posted online were straight out of a fairy tale.

She absolutely did not believe that, in a Contaminated Zone far from the Underground City, there could still be rooms covered in green vegetation.

And even if it was real, she had ways to ruin everything, to turn truth into lies…

Lu Ziyi stroked the source of contamination hidden in her pocket.

This treasure was her trump card.

Lu Hao didn’t have a hundred thousand Gold Coins, but he still said coldly, “It’s been over two hundred years since the nuclear explosion. Outside is nothing but scorched earth and desert. The plants and animals in your photos have long been extinct. Even if you’re making things up, you should at least pick something believable.”

“So our bet is set.” Gu Huaiwei was confident.

The number of viewers on the livestream soared.

Two hundred thousand people were watching the Lu Siblings’ broadcast.

Gu Huaiwei let them do as they pleased.

Within the hotel, they couldn’t stir up too much trouble anyway.

Far away in the Fifth District, the District Chief was also watching the livestream.

He sat in a wheelchair, a needle stuck into his wrist, Inhibitor being delivered through an IV and tubes.

Drip by drip… prolonging his life.

He was only forty, but his body was deteriorating rapidly. His cloudy gaze lingered on the oil painting in the hotel lobby, visible through the camera.

“Ferris wheel…”

“The female clerk with glasses…”

“I remember… I remember!”

He excitedly yanked out the needle from his hand, blood spurting from his bark-like skin, but he seemed not to feel any pain, struggling to stand up.

The nurses nearby rushed over in panic to check on him.

But the District Chief of the Fifth District pushed everyone away, ignoring them as he said, “Photo album… Bring me my photo album! And contact those two pig-headed children of mine! Warn them! Do not offend our distinguished guest!”
