“It’s me.” Lin She’s deep voice came through the wind and sand.

Gu Huaiwei was startled, then withdrew her knife.

Lin She’s hand gripped her wrist firmly, pulling her out through a tear in the black mist and sandstorm.

“Are you alright?” His tone was concerned, but his voice carried little warmth.

“Ugh, my mouth is full of sand.” Gu Huaiwei couldn’t help but spit a few times, her face covered in dust, glasses crookedly hanging on her ear, hair sticking up in a messy tangle, looking thoroughly disheveled.

She patted the dust off her clothes and quickly regained her composure. “I’m fine.”

Now wasn’t the time to worry about appearances.

Her gaze fixed on the strange black sandstorm-the guests were still inside.

“Does a Radiation Storm happen during the day too?” Gu Huaiwei frowned, straightening her glasses, her eyes alert.

Lin She didn’t answer. She immediately turned and said hurriedly, “I need to get the clothes-drying pole and fish those customers out of the black mist.”

These were her performance metrics-she couldn’t let the wind sweep them away.

“No need.” Lin She’s black hair fell slightly over his face as he raised his hand. “Look, the wind has stopped.”

“Hm?” Gu Huaiwei followed his gesture, and sure enough, the raging strange wind had miraculously calmed down.

Gu Huaiwei looked at Lin She again.

Only now did she notice that the sleeve of Lin She’s shirt was torn-clearly cut by a knife-but his pale skin showed not a single scratch.

Was it her dagger that did that?

She hadn’t held back.

How could he be completely unharmed after a slash?

Gu Huaiwei frowned. The sandstorm had been so fierce just now that she hadn’t seen clearly what was gripping her wrist.

She’d thought it was a hand.

But when Gu Huaiwei looked down at her wrist, she found that the mark wasn’t from five fingers, but a single red ring.

“Should we do something about these people?” Lin She’s dark green eyes stared straight ahead.

With the sandstorm gone, Gu Huaiwei snapped back to reality. She looked around and saw that although the guests were in a sorry state, thankfully, no one was hurt.

Some had their heads stuck in the sand like giant scallions.

Some were sprawled awkwardly on the ground, limbs askew.

Others seemed to have fainted, lying spread-eagled on the floor.

“We can’t just let the guests die out here. Lin She, come help me-let’s get them inside.” Gu Huaiwei said as she walked forward, digging the poor guests out of the sand.

“Alright.” Lin She replied, then asked, “Should we charge them a handling fee?”

“What does the Manual say?”

“It doesn’t mention it.”

“Then let’s call it a benefit.” Gu Huaiwei shrugged, her tone light. “The forum says my place is a Black Shop every day-what kind of Black Shop is this conscientious?

This is clearly a people’s good hotel. When these folks wake up, go hint to them to send a banner or something. I’ll hang it in the lobby for publicity.”

“Okay.”

They worked together to carry people, making quite a commotion.

Lu Ziyi heard the noise and sauntered out from Lu Hao’s room.

But as she stepped out, she was met with the hotel’s new decor, and her heart sank sharply.

The once narrow, plain corridor had been widened, with exquisite carved wall lamps hanging on both sides, the tiled floor replaced by marble, giving a high-class, grand feel.

She instinctively rubbed her eyes, wondering if she was seeing things.

This place was completely different from the hotel she’d grown familiar with over the past few days.

Lu Ziyi felt her head buzzing.

Everything before her seemed like an absurd joke.

Her father had given orders, providing them with a hefty sum, demanding that they spare no expense to book out the hotel for a day.

She hadn’t hesitated, swearing on Lu Hao’s head that she would complete the task.

For the past three days, she and her brother had racked their brains, meticulously planning every detail of their father’s visit to the hotel, determined to ensure his satisfaction.
And now, just as the deal was finalized, the hotel had undergone a magnificent transformation!

“Brother, come out quickly!” Lu Ziyi could no longer care about maintaining her elegant image, her voice raised to the point of cracking.

“Coming, sis.” Lu Hao walked out, looked at the changes before him, rubbed his ears, suspecting he was hallucinating, then retreated back into the room and came out again.

His expression instantly turned ugly.

“Sis, when did the hotel get renovated?”

“If you’re asking me, who am I supposed to ask?” Lu Ziyi’s face was grim. “Damn it! It’s not just a renovation, there are even more rooms now.”

“Go check how many extra rooms there are!”

The two exchanged a glance and split up to investigate.

From the first floor to the top, they quickly counted every room.

The mood of the Lu Siblings shifted from initial shock, to confusion, and finally to uncontrollable panic.

Originally, there had only been forty-eight rooms, but now it had expanded to nearly two hundred!

Lu Ziyi was almost suffocating.

Their father had only given her a budget to book fifty rooms.

“This… is impossible!” Lu Hao felt a chill down his neck. “Who’s behind this?”

“When exactly was the hotel expanded? I’ve been here these past few days and didn’t notice a thing!” Lu Ziyi bit her lip hard, her face pale, hands and feet ice-cold.

She knew that if they failed to book out the hotel this time, their father would be disappointed in them, and they would lose their chance to compete for the inheritance of the Fifth District.

At this thought, Lu Ziyi’s heart began to race.

Who could be so capable, raising a building overnight?

The image of Gu Huaiwei’s calm and serene demeanor flashed through Lu Ziyi’s mind.

Was it that front desk clerk?

Who exactly was she?

Lu Ziyi held back a stomach full of questions-she was determined to get to the bottom of this today.

Gu Huaiwei had just finished another round of settling guests.

The rest was left to Lin She, who was calming the frightened customers.

Gu Huaiwei returned to the lobby, a thin sheen of sweat on her forehead. She hadn’t even had time to catch her breath before she saw Lu Ziyi storming over, her beautiful features twisted with anger.

“When did you expand the hotel?!” Lu Ziyi gritted her teeth, questioning her directly.

“Just in the past three days. Is there a problem?” Gu Huaiwei replied casually. “Providing better service for our customers is our mission. The hotel environment has been upgraded, and your room rates haven’t increased. Shouldn’t you be happy?”

“Happy?” Lu Ziyi was almost amused by her nonchalant attitude. “What does your upgraded environment have to do with me? What I need is to book out the entire hotel!”

After speaking, she covered her mouth-after all, a lady shouldn’t curse, it would ruin her image.

Gu Huaiwei raised an eyebrow, a hint of mockery in her eyes, and spread her hands: “Oh, is that so? Well, that’s no problem-one million per day.”

“One million per day?” Lu Ziyi was so angered by her light tone that her chest hurt, her face turning even paler. “You didn’t even do the math and you’re already asking for the sky?”

Gu Huaiwei chuckled softly, folding her arms and looking at her with a half-smile: “Miss Lu, there’s no need to calculate. Last time, the one hundred thousand Gold Coin bet you made with me was paid with a car. Now you suddenly want to book out the hotel-if you don’t show some financial strength, how am I supposed to coordinate with the guests who are already staying here?”

Lu Ziyi was rendered speechless by this.

She had never met anyone who could be so infuriating with their words.

Gu Huaiwei’s attitude was always polite, and her words made some sense, but her air of having everything under control made Lu Ziyi uneasy.

She stared hard at Gu Huaiwei, her mind racing.

Gu Huaiwei met her gaze calmly. “What’s wrong? Is there a problem?”

Could it be that she didn’t have enough Gold Coins?

No way, right?

Lu Ziyi clenched her fists tightly, forcing out a few words through gritted teeth: “Lower the price… please.”
