Chapter 1

I was excitedly scooped up in a Dragon’s mouth and carried back to its cave.

Before I could even react, I was whisked away to a Dragon Nest thousands of miles away in the blink of an eye.

I was dumbfounded.

The Dragon perked up its tail in front of me and extended a claw to give me a gentle poke.

I was poked back a step.

It froze for a moment, seemingly not expecting itself to be so strong after returning to its original size, and sheepishly withdrew its claw.

This Dragon was full of curiosity toward humans, possessed a good temperament, and was very affectionate.

When I first encountered it, I diagnosed this Dragon with a mental illness.

Heart-sickness.

It had lost the will to live.

To be honest, I rarely encountered a Dragon with such a gentle personality, especially a giant Black Dragon, a species famous for being irritable and cold.

I thought it was going to die, and thinking I shouldn’t let its scales go to waste, I coaxed the Dragon into following me.

But ever since I gave it a manicure, its lifeless eyes suddenly snapped to life.

The way it looked at me was as if it were looking at some rare treasure.

Its illness was cured.

After thinking about it for a bit, I deduced the cause: this Dragon had lost its will to live because its claws weren’t shiny enough.

Considering the characteristic that Dragons love all things shiny…

It must have been depressed because the surface of its claws wasn’t bright enough.

As a result, without any warning, the Dragon abducted me to its lair.

“Little human, I’m going to raise you.”

I was about to righteously refuse this ridiculous proposal.

The Dragon practiced selective deafness.

It gently nipped at my sleeve to please me, half-pushing and half-dragging me to the entrance of a side cave.

It tilted its head back proudly and used its tail to push the treasures it had accumulated over half its life in front of me.

“Look.”

The refusal at the tip of my tongue took a sharp, sudden turn:

“Alright, I am now the human you are raising.”

I agreed to this improper relationship of a Dragon Raising Human.

What a joke; being slow by even a second would be a sign of disrespect toward money.

You have to understand, these were top-grade Crystal Spirits! A single small piece was worth hundreds of thousands of Spirit Stones.

The spiritual energy contained within was many times denser than the natural energy scattered in the world.

And this Dragon had a whole pile of them!

The key was that as long as I nodded, these would all be mine.

A person has to learn to seize opportunities; once you miss out, they’re gone.

The Dragon picked out a red, heart-shaped one for me, looking a bit shy. “Here, for you.”

I hesitated for a moment but eventually took it.

It was a bit bizarre, but for the sake of all these Crystal Spirits, I would try my best to adapt as soon as possible.

The Dragon seemed to be taking the task of raising me quite seriously.

I could take any of the treasures it collected in the lair whenever I wanted. I only had to tell it what I wanted to eat every day, and when it saw me cultivating, it would proactively guide me from the side.

There was just one thing that wasn’t so great: it forced me to play on its body every day.

It would contort its body into undulating curves so I could climb up and slide down more smoothly.

It was so strange.

But when I met its gaze full of expectation and saw the small pile of Crystal Spirits I had already used up nearby…

I felt a bit guilty.

I’d better just do it…

Two days later, I really couldn’t stand the way it always looked at me with such doting and pampering eyes.

I couldn’t help but slap it across the face.

“Can you be normal? You’re raising a human, not a pet.”

Even if I closed my eyes to meditate nearby, I couldn’t ignore that incredibly burning gaze.

So annoying.

The Dragon suddenly bared its teeth in a smile and brought its head close to me.

“Hit me again.”

“Hit me again, hard.”

It emphasized particularly, its tone faint with anticipation.

In an instant, I seemed to understand something.

After hesitating for a moment, I landed a small palm on its face, as gentle as a caress.

The Dragon was dissatisfied, its tail drooping unhappily on the ground.

My eyes widened as I looked at it in disbelief.

So, all these days, the Dragon had been acting all fidgety and constantly forcing me to play on its body-and refusing wasn’t an option…

Was it all just to get me annoyed enough to reward it with a slap?!

The next second, I abruptly pulled my hand back.
