Gu Xiaonuan’s hands slowly clenched at her sides, and the fangs in her mouth gradually withdrew and hid in the flesh under Gong Lin’s gaze.

She turned her head slightly, dodging the touch of this elder Vampire.

Those who were close to Ji Xiangnan were all elder Vampires, with the youngest being at least two hundred years old.

“What are you doing here?” Gong Lin sat down, maintaining a subtle distance between himself and Gu Xiaonuan. “Not only does the little one know how to use her fangs, she’s also developed some artistic talent?”

Gu Xiaonuan didn’t reply. Seeing her silence, Gong Lin smiled faintly, “Don’t tell me, you’re here to guard your food?”

Her small face was hidden under the baseball cap, and Gu Xiaonuan still didn’t respond. Gong Lin stood up, “Follow me inside. Hasn’t Xiang Nan told you that being exposed to the sun for too long can also cause problems?”

“It’s fine, I’ve covered up,” Gu Xiaonuan replied from where she sat, lowering her baseball cap a bit more.

“There’s a youth writers’ salon in the gallery today. Your food wouldn’t happen to be attending, would he?”

Gu Xiaonuan stood up. Gong Lin chuckled and strode toward the art gallery entrance, and Gu Xiaonuan quickly followed.

“Professor Gong, you’re actually here.”

Gong Lin had just reached the entrance when someone sharp-eyed recognized him and walked over with a flattering look. Gu Xiaonuan glanced at Gong Lin; all these friends of the Old Man had high social status.

“With Master Yan’s calligraphy and paintings on display, of course I had to come take a look,” Gong Lin said with a smile as he entered the gallery. Whether intentionally or not, he looked back, “Little one, follow me.”

Gu Xiaonuan gave a soft “Mm.” The newcomer glanced at the two of them ambiguously. Gong Lin was the youngest doctoral supervisor at T City’s famous art university, only thirty-five years old.

Handsome and charming, he had achieved much in the arts, but had always remained single, and was never seen with any close female friends.

The newcomer looked at Gu Xiaonuan-so this was Professor Gong’s type?

The venue for the literary and artistic salon was on the second floor of the exhibition hall, which was not open to the public.

All the exhibitions were on the first floor. Gong Lin declined the company of others and examined each piece with care.

Gu Xiaonuan quietly and silently followed him, never once raising her head.

She had no artistic talent and didn’t like these things. The Old Man had tried to teach her before, but after several attempts, Ji Xiangnan gave up.

In Ji Xiangnan’s words, she was beyond help.

“Is it really so boring following me?” Gong Lin asked in a low voice, his scholarly and artistic face smiling. “If Xiang Nan hadn’t wanted to take you in, it would have been me instead.”

“…No,” Gu Xiaonuan replied. That suggestion… made her feel like an abandoned puppy.

Gong Lin took off her baseball cap, messing up Gu Xiaonuan’s hair a little. Smiling, he reached out and gently stroked her hair.

Finally, his pale fingers slid lightly across Gu Xiaonuan’s neck.

“Little one, I’m very interested in your food.”

Gong Lin’s words made Gu Xiaonuan freeze. Even Lu Yichen’s blood had caught his interest.

“Snatching a little one’s food is too disgraceful,” Gong Lin whispered with a smile. “I’ll trade you for the best food I have. How about it?”

“I won’t trade,” Gu Xiaonuan stood in front of him, her neck slightly raised. For the first time, she didn’t say this in front of Sherry, but now she said it, one word at a time.

To refuse an elder Vampire’s invitation was something Gu Xiaonuan had never dared to imagine before.

Gong Lin narrowed his eyes slowly. In the next second, Gu Xiaonuan was already dragged by him to a deserted corner.

Bang!

Gu Xiaonuan’s neck was pinned, and she was firmly nailed to the wall.

“Didn’t Xiang Nan teach you manners?”

Gong Lin’s hand tightened slightly, watching as his finger marks appeared on Gu Xiaonuan’s fair skin.

Gu Xiaonuan, her neck pinned, had her hidden fangs emerge from the flesh in her mouth.

Seeing her little fangs, Gong Lin’s hand slid up.

Pfft.

With apparent force, he made Gu Xiaonuan’s fangs pierce his own fingertip.

Blood flowed from his split wound, directly into Gu Xiaonuan’s mouth.

Gu Xiaonuan was stunned, then knelt painfully to the ground and began to vomit. This reaction left Gong Lin very displeased.

He gently licked the blood at his wound. His blood could actually make her feel this sick?

He walked in front of Gu Xiaonuan, crouched down, and looked at her face rapidly flushed red from vomiting, reaching out his hand.

Slap!

Gu Xiaonuan was grabbed by the hair and pulled up in front of him.

There was still a bit of his blood on her fangs.

“Your fangs…” Gong Lin looked at the blood in Gu Xiaonuan’s eyes. “Have you only bitten him?”

Gu Xiaonuan looked at him, not quite understanding what this elder Vampire meant.

Click!

Much longer fangs than Gu Xiaonuan’s emerged from Gong Lin’s mouth.

A powerful force lifted Gu Xiaonuan up, and the fangs were about to pierce the fair neck in front of him!

Footsteps suddenly echoed from the corner, and a figure walked straight out.

For some reason, Lu Yichen appeared here.

Just like that day, when he pushed open the door and appeared in the restroom.
Gu Xiaonuan was still being held by the head, her eyes filled with blood staring at him. “…Go away.”

Light and shadow fell behind Lu Yichen. Standing in the shadow, his body swayed slightly, as if startled by the scene.

Gong Lin wanted to sneer but suddenly lost his voice.

At that moment, he felt that Lu Yichen standing there didn’t seem like a human at all.

His tall figure hidden in the dark looked more like a fellow Vampire crawling out of a grave.

Not far away, the laughter and chatter of humans drifted over. Gong Lin curled his lips and released Gu Xiaonuan.

The strong fangs in his mouth retracted. He patted the baseball cap on Gu Xiaonuan’s head and turned to leave.

“Why are you here?”

Gu Xiaonuan walked towards Lu Yichen. The instant she touched him, she felt his trembling.

“…I just came out to use the bathroom.”

Lu Yichen spoke in a low voice, his dark eyes noticing the trace of blood at the corner of her lips. “Did you… drink his blood?”

“No.” Gu Xiaonuan wiped the blood away with some disgust, still feeling unwell. Her reddened eyes looked at Lu Yichen, and with a strong pull, she dragged him over.

Click.

Gu Xiaonuan forcefully twisted open the nearby door, wrapped her arms around Lu Yichen, and slipped inside. As soon as the two entered, the door shut, leaving all the light outside.

It was a cramped storage room. Lu Yichen leaned against the wall by the door. In the dark, Gu Xiaonuan’s eyes shimmered like rubies.

The blood color within was bright and vivid. Lu Yichen lowered his gaze-what beautiful Vampire eyes these were.

“Let me bite you, just once…” Gu Xiaonuan’s cold hand caressed as she unbuttoned Lu Yichen’s shirt. “His blood makes me sick.”

“Go ahead, you can bite wherever you want.”

Lu Yichen let her undo his shirt. In the darkness, Gu Xiaonuan’s eyes could still clearly see the marks that belonged to her on his body.

“Yichen-ge!”

Outside, Xiang Kaixi’s voice came closer and closer. “Strange, I saw him walk this way. Yichen-ge?”

She walked nearer, not daring to speak too loudly in the venue. Finally, she simply took out her phone.

“Bzz bzz bzz-!”

Lu Yichen’s phone vibrated in his pants pocket. His shirt had already been pulled open by Gu Xiaonuan. His fingers found her small face, and he whispered softly, “Be gentle.”

“Strange, where did Yichen-ge go?”

Xiang Kaixi’s voice was still outside. Lu Yichen’s phone stopped vibrating, and this time it was Gu Xiaonuan’s phone.

But in this moment of darkness, neither of them paid any attention to the desperately vibrating phones.

Gu Xiaonuan reached out and turned Lu Yichen around, making his back face her.

Her arms wrapped around his waist, gently pressing the man’s body against the wall.

With a muffled grunt from Lu Yichen, Gu Xiaonuan’s sharp fangs pierced a spot on his back.

Sweet liquid flowed into Gu Xiaonuan’s mouth through her fangs, washing away the remnants of Gong Lin’s blood. Gu Xiaonuan’s arms tightened.

Lu Yichen’s body trembled lightly in her embrace.

Gu Xiaonuan closed her eyes. Last night, he was like this too, pressed down on the bed by her. Every time her fangs pierced him, his body would tremble slightly.

It was indeed just a shallow taste. Gu Xiaonuan’s fangs left his body, and she licked clean the blood remaining at the wound before lowering his shirt.

Lu Yichen turned around and held her in his arms. “Is this enough?”

Gu Xiaonuan replied with a hum, reaching out to push open the door and take him out, but was held back by Lu Yichen. This time, she was pressed against the wall, the man’s weight leaning forward against her.

“I can’t stand very well, let’s not go out yet.”

Gu Xiaonuan looked at his flushed cheeks in the darkness and hugged him tightly, realizing that she really was too much last night.

“Was he trying to drink your blood just now?”

Lu Yichen asked in a low voice, resting his head on her shoulder, his arm encircling her neck, his fingers gently stroking the back of her neck.

“No, that’s a way for older Vampires to discipline younger Vampires.” Gu Xiaonuan paused for a while. “I rejected his invitation.”

“Did Ji Xiangnan discipline you like that too?”

“No, the Old Man never did that.” Gu Xiaonuan leaned her body against the wall, letting him press all his weight onto her.

Bzz bzz bzz-

Their phones kept vibrating back and forth. Gu Xiaonuan took out her phone to find a bombardment of missed calls and messages from Xiang Kaixi.

She patted Lu Yichen, “Xiang Kaixi says the salon is still ongoing, and you’ve been absent for too long.”

“Got it.”

Lu Yichen spoke in a low voice, pushed open the door and left. Gu Xiaonuan watched his figure disappear around the corner, thinking of Gong Lin who had suddenly let go earlier.

Why did he let her go at that moment?

On the other side, after walking out of the art gallery, Gong Lin took out his phone and dialed a number. The call was connected.

“Xiang Nan.”

He spoke. On the other end, Ji Xiangnan’s voice came, “Why are you calling me? Did my little one cause you trouble and you want to complain?”

Gong Lin narrowed his eyes, unable to help but grip the phone tightly.

“This human, Lu Yichen, have you really investigated him thoroughly?”
