Feed Me, Husband - Chapter 45
When Gu Xiaonuan returned from the window, Lu Yichen was kneeling beside Xiang Kaixi, pressing a towel against the wound on her neck with one hand.
The smell of blood filled the room, so strong that Gu Xiaonuan didn’t dare get close. She could only stand by the window. “Is she alright?”
“She’s fine. The bleeding has stopped.” Lu Yichen looked up. “You go back to 315 first. I’ll handle things here.”
“How are you going to handle it? Part of her memory needs to be erased.” Gu Xiaonuan took a deep breath, covering her own fangs with her hand as she turned away. “That Vampire is gone. Wait a moment, I’ll deal with her memory right away.”
“You can erase her memory?”
Lu Yichen pressed down a bit more. The unconscious Xiang Kaixi’s body twitched slightly, as if she was about to wake up.
“Mm… The Old Man taught me, but at my age, I can’t erase too much time. But erasing just the past few minutes is possible.”
Lu Yichen let out a sound of acknowledgment, his dark eyes watching Xiang Kaixi’s trembling eyelashes. “She’s about to wake up.”
Gu Xiaonuan stood by the window. Reflected in the glass, her eyes were like red gems.
Gu Xiaonuan gripped the window sill tightly. Luckily, the scent of blood in the air wasn’t Lu Yichen’s; otherwise, she truly wouldn’t have been able to control herself.
Turning back, those red eyes made it hard for Lu Yichen to look away.
“I’ll do it.” Gu Xiaonuan brushed aside Lu Yichen’s hand and sat on top of Xiang Kaixi, lifting her up with one hand.
Xiang Kaixi’s eyelashes trembled lightly. Gu Xiaonuan spoke softly, “Xiang Kaixi, open your eyes and look at me.”
Her lashes fluttered, and Xiang Kaixi opened her eyes, about to cry out in panic-yet the moment she saw those red eyes, she instantly quieted down.
Hypnosis was one of the ways vampires tamed humans.
Erasing memories was the standard method for dealing with discarded prey, and could also avoid a lot of unnecessary trouble.
After receiving Gu Xiaonuan’s command to forget, Xiang Kaixi closed her eyes again and fainted.
When everything was done, Gu Xiaonuan suddenly stood up. “I’m going to 315. I’ll leave the rest to you.”
She opened the door and slipped out like a gust of wind.
Lu Yichen sat on the floor, looking at Xiang Kaixi lying there, and gave a cold smile.
What should be forgotten will be forgotten. What shouldn’t be forgotten, you will never forget.
In room 315, Gu Xiaonuan lay curled up on the bed, turning herself into a ball.
Her fangs tried countless times to retract, but every time they revealed themselves again, driven by desire.
The scent of blood clung to her whole body, haunting her like a shadow.
She wasn’t hungry, but she was filled with longing.
Her fangs wanted to pierce warm skin, to taste the sweet, heated blood, to drink it into her own body.
To let that warmth wash over her cold, lonely heart, again and again.
She wanted Lu Yichen.
The scent of alcohol from the osmanthus cake drifted out. Gu Xiaonuan lifted her head and reached out to grab it.
There was alcohol in here-if she ate it all, maybe she would get drunk right away.
Piece after piece, Gu Xiaonuan stuffed the osmanthus cake into her mouth, eating quickly and voraciously. She had never longed for drunkenness so much, wishing the alcohol inside would ferment immediately and knock her out right now.
She swallowed a whole bag of osmanthus cakes as if chewing on wax, feeling the alcohol spreading through her body.
She exhaled, lying on the bed and waiting for the drunkenness to arrive.
The effect of the alcohol came even faster than she expected, but this time, it wasn’t as thorough as the last time she got drunk.
In a daze, Gu Xiaonuan heard the door open and someone walk in.
The man approached the bedside, and one side of the bed dipped slightly under his weight.
Gu Xiaonuan lifted her head and saw Lu Yichen’s face in the dim light. She couldn’t tell if she was expectant or annoyed. Why was it him? And yet, thank goodness, it was him.
“Xiao Nuan.”
Hearing his voice, Gu Xiaonuan’s body trembled lightly. She felt his warm hand reaching over, pulling her cold body into his embrace.
Warm fingers slid under her clothes, caressing her skin.
Her nightgown, stained with traces of blood, was slipped off by him.
A warm hand gently patted her cheek, trying to rouse her. Gu Xiaonuan gripped his hand, and, losing control, almost bit down on his palm.
Her chin was lifted, a bit forcefully.
Gu Xiaonuan’s eyes, under the glow of night, were thoroughly red, like a piece of translucent blood amber, or perhaps like glass in which blood flowed beneath the surface.
Lu Yichen pressed his fingers lightly, gazing at the small fangs revealed in her mouth.
Su Qingqing was right-what beautiful eyes these were.
“Lu Yichen…” Gu Xiaonuan spoke softly. “Let me bite you.”
Her small hand felt for his wrist. The hand holding her chin released its grip, and Gu Xiaonuan tilted her face, her fangs sinking into a spot on his wrist.
In the darkness, the man’s eyes watched her drink his blood, just as he had before-watching her fangs pierce his skin, watching her tongue lick the places she had bitten, and then, searching for the next spot she could sink her teeth into.
Letting out a light sigh, Lu Yichen was pushed by her to lean against the headboard.
Her petite figure climbed onto his lap. Lu Yichen reached out, steadying her slender waist.
Her sharp fangs pierced into his chest. With a muffled groan, Lu Yichen’s hand pressed her firmly against himself.
The Cross Mark on her pale neck appeared. Lu Yichen stared, entranced, his fingers gently tracing it.
The little Vampire on top of him moved lower and lower, her fangs sinking into his waist.
His nightclothes had long been stripped off by Gu Xiaonuan, revealing taut muscles at his waist, now marked clearly with fresh bite marks.
Breathless, Gu Xiaonuan finally raised her head, seemingly satisfied.
Lu Yichen sat up-he, on the other hand, was not yet satisfied.
Waves of emotion surged in the man’s eyes. Remembering how she had bared her fangs at the taste of Xiang Kaixi’s blood, Lu Yichen felt a blaze of jealousy.
He hugged the little Vampire in his arms tighter, lifted her chin, and kissed her.
Her mouth was filled with the taste of his blood.
Gu Xiaonuan tilted her head back, accepting his kiss, dazed and confused, only aware that someone was trying to steal the sweet blood from her mouth.
She clung desperately to him, and the man’s body grew hotter and hotter in her arms.
A low growl rumbled from deep in Lu Yichen’s throat as he lifted her up slightly.
Her cold, soft body slumped forward, draping across him-and she fell asleep.
Gu Xiaonuan’s hands were wrapped around Lu Yichen’s neck as she lay in his burning-hot embrace.
“Xiao Nuan,” Lu Yichen called softly, his voice a little hoarse. Gu Xiaonuan rubbed her cheek against him, showing no intention of waking.
With a sigh, he pulled a thin blanket over from the side and draped it across her.
His gaze landed on the empty osmanthus cake bag-only a few crumbs left inside. Lu Yichen smiled.
He tightened his embrace, gently running his fingers through Gu Xiaonuan’s hair, threading between the strands.
He lifted her up slightly, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead with his thin lips.
Pondering the reason for her actions, Lu Yichen murmured softly, “This time, I’ll let it go.”
