Soon, a hospital bed was pushed out from the operating room, with Lu Yichen lying on it.

His wrist, which had been forcibly broken, was now in a cast. The beautiful face, once drained of color, had regained some rosiness-he was out of danger.

The hospital bed was pushed past Ji Xiangnan and Gu Xiaonuan, who sat there without even glancing at it.

Ji Xiangnan’s gaze swept over, watching as Lu Yichen was wheeled into a certain room. After a long while, he sighed.

Before he could speak, Gu Xiaonuan, sitting beside him, turned around. Her slightly reddened eyes fixed on him. “Old Man, how do I break this contract?”

Ji Xiangnan’s long, narrow eyes narrowed slightly. His slender fingers reached out and pressed on the Cross Mark at her neck.

“Have I ever taught you that this place-no one is allowed to touch it, absolutely no one.”

“…It was an accident.”

Gu Xiaonuan keenly sensed his anger, and she herself was filled with regret.

Who could have expected that man to do such a thing? His bloodstained fingers had touched her directly. She reacted, but it was already too late.

“Once the contract is formed, he becomes your only source of blood,” Ji Xiangnan said, ignoring Gu Xiaonuan’s tone and continuing, “Other than him, you cannot consume any other blood.”

Three days. Lu Yichen lay in bed for three days before he slowly woke up.

For those three days, Gu Xiaonuan sat by the bedside like a guardian spirit, day and night, doing nothing but watching the man lying on the hospital bed.

During these three days, in this Vampire Clan Hospital, not a single Fellow Kin recognized Lu Yichen. Gu Xiaonuan finally confirmed that he truly didn’t understand the things she had said.

He had no master before, but now, he did.

“Ah…”

She had lost count of how many times she sighed. Gu Xiaonuan pressed her hand to her forehead, her mind a tangled mess.

“Mm…”

The man who had lain on the hospital bed for three days finally made a sound. Gu Xiaonuan sat there, unmoving. The blood-red hue in her eyes hadn’t faded, and even the fangs in her mouth were no longer hidden.

“You’re awake?”

She spoke coldly, staring at the man on the bed as he slowly opened his eyes. She noticed that after seeing her, a dark light seemed to flash in those gentle eyes.

“Miss Gu…?!”

Gu Xiaonuan stood up directly, walked to his bedside, looked at his arm immobilized by a cast, and her red lips curled up, exposing her fangs right in front of his eyes.

“Miss Gu? Shouldn’t you already know who I am?”

The fangs protruding from her red lips glinted coldly. Lying there, Lu Yichen’s pale face suddenly began to flush with color.

His other uninjured hand gently touched his own neck, softly rubbing the spot where the bite marks were.

Gu Xiaonuan reached out, grabbed his collar, and lifted him straight off the hospital bed!

His handsome face was full of shyness, and it seemed as if tears were welling up in his eyes again.

Why… was he about to cry again?

His long, beautiful fingers slowly crawled up the back of her hand. When they touched her cold skin, a low moan escaped from deep in his throat.

In those gentle, deer-like eyes, she saw nothing but her own reflection.

His voice was soft, but it struck Gu Xiaonuan’s mind like a heavy hammer.

It was him-the source of her nightmares for twenty years.

Her cold hand quickly tried to pull away, but his warm human fingers pressed down tightly.

His warm fingers slipped between her icy ones, locking her hand in his. With a tug, his good arm pulled her into his equally warm embrace.

Gu Xiaonuan was still in shock, completely unaware that she was now being held in his arms.

The man’s head rested lightly on her shoulder, his soft hair brushing against her cheek.

From deep within his body came a sigh of utter satisfaction.

“It’s all right now.”

Lu Yichen spoke in a low voice, his thin lips gently kissing the Cross Mark so close at hand.

“I’ve long since… belonged to you.”
