Feed Me, Husband - Chapter 52
Chapter 52
Every year, the members of the Vampire Clan living in the same region would hold a gathering on the last day of the year. It was a meeting for their Fellow Kin that no one could miss.
The next most significant event was a welcoming ceremony held for the visit of an elder, high-ranking vampire.
Gu Xiaonuan followed Ji Xiangnan, attending such an occasion for the first time.
Once vampires settled in a particular region, they rarely took the initiative to travel to other areas, especially for a formal visit like this.
Although Ji Xiangnan didn’t say much, Gu Xiaonuan understood that this wasn’t an event she could simply skip out of selfishness or whim.
That evening, Gu Xiaonuan donned a rare evening gown. When Lu Yichen saw her preparing to leave, his handsome face flushed slightly as he approached her.
“Is it a very important occasion?” He placed his hand gently on her exposed shoulder. “Would it be better to add a shawl?”
“I’m not cold.” Gu Xiaonuan pushed his hand away. Ji Xiangnan was already waiting outside the door, speaking with a hint of impatience, “Xiaonuan, don’t be late.”
“Stay at home and don’t go anywhere. I’ll be back soon,” Gu Xiaonuan instructed before opening the door.
Lu Yichen looked at Ji Xiangnan outside. He was wearing a black tailcoat, complete with matching cufflinks and a tie clip.
Gu Xiaonuan was also wearing a black formal dress. Standing together, it felt as if they were going to a… funeral.
Lu Yichen smiled and leaned in, intending to kiss Gu Xiaonuan’s forehead, but Ji Xiangnan blocked him.
“Don’t get your scent on her.”
Cold peach-blossom eyes stared at him as Ji Xiangnan reached out and pulled Gu Xiaonuan behind him. “This is for your own good.”
With that, Ji Xiangnan led Gu Xiaonuan into the elevator. Lu Yichen leaned against the doorframe, watching the elevator doors close with a cold curl of his lips.
He closed the apartment door and walked through the dark living room. Vampire gatherings always favored the night. Inside the room, only the desk lamp by the computer was lit.
Lu Yichen sat at the computer and switched off the lamp. The computer screen, having been idle for a long time, also went dark instantly.
His entire silhouette merged into the darkness.
Suddenly, his phone lit up.
A message flashed across the screen: *I’m here.*
Lu Yichen picked up the phone and tapped on the keyboard: *Understood.*
The other party didn’t reply. Lu Yichen placed the phone back on the desk and lightly crossed his arms over his chest.
His dark eyes looked out the window at the hazy night, a smile gradually spreading across his face.
On the way to the banquet venue, Gu Xiaonuan and Ji Xiangnan sat in the back seat. Their black attire almost completely blended with the night outside.
Ji Xiangnan looked out the window. “The one visiting is a guest from far away.”
Gu Xiaonuan turned her head, looking at him with some surprise. “From where?”
“A small country in Western Europe. Eight hundred years old, the master of a local castle,” Ji Xiangnan said in a low voice. “Over three hundred years ago, I met this guest once.”
Reflected in the car window, Ji Xiangnan’s narrow peach-blossom eyes became even clearer behind his glasses. “It was also at a family banquet. He was there as a missionary.”
Gu Xiaonuan’s breath hitched. An eight-hundred-year-old vampire was something she didn’t even dare to imagine.
“You didn’t let Lu Yichen get close to me because…”
“Older vampires tend to understand better than anyone that the more delicious the food, the harder it is to come by.”
As Ji Xiangnan spoke, he couldn’t help but let a flicker of anger show.
“You, who signed a contract just like that… you’re truly a fool.”
Gu Xiaonuan sat there in silence. If time could be turned back, she certainly wouldn’t have let Lu Yichen’s blood touch that spot.
At a private gathering place decorated in a heavy Western palace style, Ji Xiangnan led Gu Xiaonuan into the hall. In the distance, a Blond Man stood surrounded by two beautiful women.
On the women’s necks were fresh bite marks, and blood was still flowing.
Gu Xiaonuan was stunned. Even the Old Man wouldn’t dare to feed so casually at such an event, yet this man was so wild and unrestrained.
“Xiang Nan.” The Blond Man saw them and smiled, waving at Ji Xiangnan. Ji Xiangnan walked over quickly, with Gu Xiaonuan following closely behind.
She noticed that Fellow Kin who were rarely seen on ordinary days had gathered here, most likely driven by the desire to catch a glimpse of this eight-hundred-year-old elder Vampire.
“Mr. Li,” Ji Xiangnan called out with considerable respect. Gu Xiaonuan stood beside him with her head slightly lowered, watching the eight-hundred-year-old vampire out of the corner of her eye.
His skin was exceptionally pale, perhaps due to his European heritage. His golden hair was soft and neatly styled, and he wore a well-tailored suit. Though his attire was modern, an aura of ancient history clung to him.
Every movement and gesture carried an air of effortless etiquette and self-restraint.
Deep blue eyes looked as though seawater was surging within them.
Noticing Gu Xiaonuan’s surreptitious gaze, the Blond Vampire’s eyes shifted past Ji Xiangnan. “Oh? Is this your progeny?”
Ji Xiangnan smiled. “No, just a little kid I picked up.”
The Blond Vampire arched an eyebrow. In a mere second, he was standing directly in front of Gu Xiaonuan.
His speed was almost impossible for the naked eye to track.
With cold fingertips, he tilted Gu Xiaonuan’s chin upward.

Due to extreme nervousness, small fangs peeked out from behind her lips.
Seeing this, the elder Vampire smiled.
“Xiaonuan, retract your teeth.”
Ji Xiangnan whispered coldly, “I taught you not to act like a wild child.”
“It’s alright.” The Blond Vampire looked down at Gu Xiaonuan, his fingertips lightly brushing against the tips of her fangs before he withdrew his hand. “She really is just a little kid.”
Gu Xiaonuan clenched her trembling palms. The pressure and fear the elder Vampire exerted on her made her heart quail; she even felt the urge to turn and bolt.
It took all her strength to finally retract her fangs.
The Blond Vampire looked away, no longer paying her any mind. Ji Xiangnan shifted his body, shielding Gu Xiaonuan behind him. “Is there anything I can help you with during your visit, Mr. Li?”
“I was just bored and came out for a stroll,” the Blond Man whispered with a smile. “This country is much more interesting than where I come from.”
Throughout the entire banquet, Gu Xiaonuan didn’t dare look the Aged Vampire in the eye again. She followed obediently behind Ji Xiangnan, catching fragments of their conversation.
Much of it involved vocabulary and languages she didn’t understand.
All the other Fellow Kin from the region who were present remained exceptionally quiet.
Gu Xiaonuan spotted Sherry, who didn’t approach them but instead stood quietly in a corner. Taking a deep breath, Gu Xiaonuan realized that all the Fellow Kin present were somewhat afraid.
“I’ll be staying here for a while.” The Blond Vampire looked at Ji Xiangnan with a smile. “Your nest wouldn’t be unwelcoming to me, would it?”
Gu Xiaonuan’s breath hitched as she heard Ji Xiangnan’s reply. “Of course not. It would be my honor.”
During a lull in the banquet, Gu Xiaonuan found an excuse to go to the restroom. She immediately pulled out her phone and sent a text to Lu Yichen.
“Go to my old address. Now. Immediately.”
After she sent it, Gu Xiaonuan quickly received a reply from Lu Yichen. It was a cat sticker-a soft, squishy kitten acting cute. *Understood.*
“Who are you messaging?”
A presence suddenly appeared behind Gu Xiaonuan, and her phone was snatched away in the next second.
The Blond Vampire looked at her shocked expression and chuckled softly. “Baby food?”
Gu Xiaonuan froze as the phone was returned to her hand.
“Little kid, besides humans, have you ever bitten any other kind of food?” The Blond Vampire leaned his tall frame against the wall, extending a long leg to block her path.
“No.”
Gu Xiaonuan’s honest answer elicited a low chuckle.

Strong, powerful fangs emerged from his mouth, and a crimson blood-red hue bled into his azure eyes.
His fingers lightly undid the first button of his shirt, revealing his pale, cold neck.
“Do you want to… try biting into me?”
