However, Mu Chenxi spread her powerful Spiritual Sense like a tide, carefully sweeping back and forth several times, yet she still found nothing unusual.

This mountain wilderness was tranquil; aside from some weak creatures, there was not the slightest sign of anything out of the ordinary.

This made her frown even deeper.

The unknown is always the most terrifying.

She looked up at the bright moon on the horizon, and the oppressive, uneasy feeling deep within her Spirit Soul inexplicably grew even stronger.

Even the cold moonlight seemed to harbor malice.

“Is there something wrong with the moon?”

Bai Yue also stepped out. Seeing Mu Chenxi staring at the night sky with tightly furrowed brows, she couldn’t help but ask.

“I can’t say,” Mu Chenxi replied, her voice tinged with confusion. “But when I look at the moon, the feeling of unease in my heart only grows stronger.”

Hearing this, Bai Yue also looked up at the bright moon, but she couldn’t discern anything unusual.

Her heart grew even more puzzled, completely unable to figure out the source of this strange feeling.

“How about… we find another place to establish our Cave Abode?”

Bai Yue was always cautious, never harboring any wishful thinking.

“Alright.”

Mu Chenxi nodded without hesitation. She absolutely could not let her Master fall into unknown danger.

The two of them once again transformed into streaks of light, taking to Sword Flight.

First, they circled the edge of the Ancient Battlefield for a long time, but it was still the same.

Then they completely changed direction, flying rapidly toward a place far away from the Ancient Battlefield.

Yet, that sense of unease clung to Mu Chenxi’s heart like a shadow, no matter how far they flew, showing no sign of diminishing.

“Let’s just rest here.”

Seeing this, Bai Yue could only let Mu Chenxi give up.

Although this inexplicable feeling was strange, they couldn’t let themselves be frightened into running around like headless flies.

The two finally stopped at an inconspicuous spot on the mountainside.

“We’ve already gone far from the Ancient Battlefield, but that sense of danger still remains.”

Mu Chenxi’s delicate brows furrowed tightly, her eyes full of gravity.

“Perhaps you’ve been too tense these past few days and need a good rest,” Bai Yue gently speculated. “If you still feel this way tomorrow, we’ll go even farther, or simply rest for a few days and wait for it to completely disappear before setting out again.”

“Mm.” Mu Chenxi nodded softly in agreement.

She felt that her Master’s safety should always come first, and anything else could be set aside for it.

The two quickly established a temporary Cave Abode once more.

Inside the Cave Abode, Mu Chenxi still couldn’t calm her mind to cultivate.

She could only sit to the side, her clear eyes fixed intently on Bai Yue.

Bai Yue was sitting in meditation with her eyes closed. Feeling Mu Chenxi’s focused gaze, she grew a bit uncomfortable and had to open her eyes, helplessly saying, “Chenxi, why do you keep looking at me?”

“Because I have nothing else to do, so I look at Master.”

Mu Chenxi answered seriously, then added matter-of-factly, “Master is beautiful.”

Bai Yue was so flustered by her straightforward compliment that her face turned bright red.

“Ahem…”

She cleared her throat to cover her embarrassment, then suggested, “How about this: hold my hand. That way, you can better comprehend the Sword Dao, and you won’t be left with nothing to do.”

“Alright, thank you, Master.”

Mu Chenxi’s eyes lit up at her words, and she immediately nodded in agreement.

When she held Bai Yue’s hand, she naturally intertwined their fingers.

The warm, delicate sensation spread, and Bai Yue also gently squeezed her hand, a wave of warmth flowing from their fingertips into her heart.

That inexplicable sense of unease was actually dispelled quite a bit.
Mu Chenxi took a deep breath in the morning light, doing her best to ignore the lingering sense of strangeness.

She calmed her mind, focusing on comprehending the true meaning of Sword Dao.

The Cave Abode returned to tranquility, and time slowly passed.

Holding hands with Bai Yue like this, Mu Chenxi discovered that the unease that had been entrenched in her heart was unknowingly soothed, eventually dissipating completely.

“Master, that feeling of unease… seems to have disappeared.”

Mu Chenxi shared the good news with Bai Yue.

“That’s wonderful!”

Bai Yue was also very happy, letting out a long sigh of relief in her heart.

If it really was some unknown sign of danger, that would have been terrible.

Now that the feeling was gone, it seemed to have been a false alarm.

As Midnight approached, the Fire Poison in Bai Yue’s body arrived as expected.

The two had already lain down on the soft carpet, their jade hands still interlocked, fingers entwined.

Mu Chenxi activated her Spiritual Power, channeling a gentle and pure stream of Icy Energy into Bai Yue’s body, dispelling the burning sensation.

Bai Yue felt comfortable and at ease, her eyelids growing heavy as she slowly drifted to sleep.

Mu Chenxi gazed at Bai Yue’s peaceful and beautiful sleeping face, her heart filled with tranquility.

Yet, at that moment, a sudden wave of drowsiness surged over her like a tide.

What was happening?

Mu Chenxi was startled.

Logically, at her level, with her Spirit Soul refined, she no longer needed sleep like ordinary people-especially now that she was a Nascent Soul cultivator.

She couldn’t understand it and tried to force herself awake, but her eyelids grew heavier and her consciousness blurred…

In the end, she drifted off, muddled and unaware.

“Chenxi! Run!”

“Run! Hurry!”

It was Master’s voice!

Bai Yue’s voice, trembling with endless despair, pierced her mind like a sharp ice spike!

Mu Chenxi’s body jolted violently, her eyes snapping open as cold sweat drenched her.

“Huff… huff…”

She gasped for breath, her chest heaving, eyes fixed tightly on Bai Yue beside her.

“What’s wrong, Chenxi?” Bai Yue was awakened by her movements, rubbing her sleepy eyes and looking at her with concern.

“Master, I… I don’t know why I fell asleep. I inexplicably heard your voice, telling me to run, as if something dangerous was happening.”

Mu Chenxi explained.

Her hand, still clasped with Bai Yue’s, was gripping so tightly that her knuckles had turned white, her palm slick with sweat.

“Did you have a nightmare?”

Bai Yue asked gently, her hand aching from Mu Chenxi’s grip, which was what woke her.

She didn’t mention the pain, instead placing her other hand softly over Mu Chenxi’s to comfort her.

“Mm… I suppose it was a nightmare…”

Mu Chenxi finally noticed and quickly loosened her grip, though she still didn’t let go.

Bai Yue saw the fine beads of cold sweat on Mu Chenxi’s forehead and lifted her sleeve to gently wipe them away.

“Maybe you’re just too tense? Don’t worry, Chenxi, it’s alright. It was only a dream.”

Bai Yue comforted her, her tone especially gentle.

“Master, that sense of danger has returned…”

Mu Chenxi frowned deeply, the feeling of danger reawakened by the nightmare.

“Master, is this place unsafe? Should we move somewhere else?”

Mu Chenxi grew increasingly concerned for Bai Yue; that nightmarish voice had truly frightened her.

She feared the nightmare would come true, that Bai Yue would really be in danger.

She became somewhat paranoid, jumpy at every shadow, feeling as though unknown enemies lurked everywhere.
