Love-Struck Fox Spirit - Chapter 5
Oh no, I worked overtime too late today.
It was already past ten when I opened the door. The house was quiet, not even the lights were on.
Jin Jiaxue was curled up in a ball, sleeping at the entrance.
He had turned back into his fox form-he must have been so hungry that he couldn’t maintain his human shape.
This is terrible. How am I supposed to date him like this? Do I need to find him a vixen?
I tiptoed over and gently stroked his fur. Thankfully, it was still golden, not yet at a dangerous stage.
Then I bent down, planning to carry him to his little bed, but when I looked down, I noticed a plush little fox nestled between his body and tail.
Golden, with big ears and a bushy tail, and two little eyes.
As expected, the mountain of fox fur he had carefully stashed away was now gone, all transformed into this little fox.
That tiny charm was carefully encircled by his tail.
He seemed to sense my touch, opened his eyes, twitched his ears, and withdrew his tail, causing the plush little fox to fall to the floor.
Then he cautiously came over and licked my fingertips.
So he was apologizing, trying to make up for worrying me.
I sighed, put the little fox charm into my bag, and took out my phone to check my balance.
Decision made: tomorrow I’ll go buy a vixen.
I brought home the vixen. She was adorable, small and snow-white.
When I carried her back, she snuggled in my arms, just like when I first brought Jin Jiaxue home.
I held up the little vixen for Jin Jiaxue to see, feeling proud:
“Look, I picked the best-looking one they had. Eyes, nose, fur-nothing to complain about!”
In his fox form, Jin Jiaxue circled the newcomer, sniffing and nuzzling up to her.
I watched with satisfaction, thinking my taste was truly excellent.
Jin Jiaxue kept sniffing, then suddenly flopped onto the floor, his tail flying up, intoxicated by her scent.
The little white fox was licking his head, but Jin Jiaxue suddenly scrambled up, whining, and dashed into the bedroom, slamming the door shut.
What? He doesn’t like the white fox I spent thousands on?!
I sat there, devastated, unsure whether to be upset about having to care for two foxes now, or about the thousands I’d just wasted.
Xiao Bai seemed to sense my mood, wagged her tail, and trotted over, snuggling into my arms.
She climbed up and licked my cheek with her tongue, making me laugh before she stopped.
I picked up Xiao Bai and rubbed her head.
With a thud, the plush little fox in my arms suddenly transformed into a beautiful young woman.
