My headache was so bad that I started pulling at the hair on the top of my head, but I couldn’t think of any solution.

But what if his Beloved Fox doesn’t like him, rejects him, and he decides he’d rather starve than care?

I scratched my scalp in distress. Xiao Bai lay on my knees, sweeping my ankle with her tail.

Xiao Bai squinted her eyes and smiled, hooking my finger with hers.

When I opened the bedroom door, Jin Jiaxue was sitting on the bay window, brushing his tail fur while gazing outside.

Beside him, another little mountain of tail fur had formed, and the fluffy little foxes had increased by two.

But the little foxes’ backs looked a bit lonely, their heads drooping as they tugged at their own tail fur, looking rather aggrieved.

Xiao Bai approached with a smile, leaned down beside him, and flicked her tail tip with confidence.

Jin Jiaxue’s brushing paused, his face blank as he tilted his head up, the scent of food making it hard for him to think.

I stood at the doorway, torn inside.

He’s willing to go hungry for his Beloved Fox, but I’m stubbornly forcing him to eat-what will he think when he comes to his senses?

Will he feel dirty and unworthy of his Beloved Fox, and become depressed?

Am I any different from those bad people, using his instincts to make him do things he doesn’t want to do?!

Xiao Bai froze, lifting her head against the light, her fox eyes shining with cunning.

She stuck out her tongue and licked her lips, her smile captivating.

“Then… sister, you’ll have to make it up to me, okay?”

Before she finished speaking, Jin Jiaxue suddenly leapt to the floor with a thud, dashed toward me, and threw himself into my arms.

His tail curled around the two little foxes from the bay window, squeezing them into my palm.

Then he looked at me with sparkling eyes, wagging his tail, chin lifted in anticipation.
