Hua Suihe hooked her finger through hers and swayed them back and forth, chuckling softly. “Why the sudden urge to move? Are you not satisfied with our little wooden cabin anymore?”

“I want Hua Hua to live somewhere better.” Ye Susheng didn’t explain further. Living over here, she couldn’t take Hua Hua out shopping anymore. Once the Anomalies in this region became active again, it wouldn’t matter if it was a milk tea shop or a restaurant-humans wouldn’t be able to eat any of the food.

She didn’t want Hua Hua to go shopping in the future and find she couldn’t eat anything at all.

“No need to rush. Let’s save up a little more before we talk about moving,” Hua Suihe said, worried Ye Susheng was putting too much pressure on herself. Besides, even though their little wooden cabin was remote and the facilities were terrible, they’d already lived there for days. There was no need to be in such a hurry.

They finally found seats in the waiting hall. Every so often, someone would glance their way again.

Hua Suihe’s puzzled gaze swept over. Those people immediately acted like they hadn’t been looking and turned their eyes elsewhere, as if avoiding trouble.

Hua Suihe touched her cheek and muttered, “Are we just too good-looking? They don’t think we’re celebrities, do they?”

Ye Susheng nodded in agreement as she used her black mist to suppress the entire place. “Hua Hua is way too pretty. Like a movie star.”

None of these were human. There were no living people left in Area A.

Area A had been completely contaminated by Thriller. That meant the parts of Area A that had been polluted early on had now fully linked up. The Anomalies’ activity range had expanded, and since the Zone B high-speed rail station was also within a Polluted Zone, those Anomalies that could move around were using the high-speed rail to head to Zone B.

Hua Hua’s scent was far too rich. Those ugly freaks were practically drooling over her.

The thought made Ye Susheng even more unwilling to keep living in Area A. Otherwise, for Hua Hua’s safety, she’d end up butchering the Anomaly area into a true no-man’s land.

Hua Suihe pinched Ye Susheng’s chin and studied her face. “Our Ye Zi doesn’t just look like a star. You are a star.”

This area was lively-both the commercial districts and the residential districts were full of people. Carrying two cups of milk tea, they arrived at the sales office of a complex called Haixing.

It was a newly opened development. They claimed there were discounts for buyers, but the price per unit was still absurdly high.

The sales staff were enthusiastic. The instant they walked in, someone came over with a bright smile.

The female agent’s eyes landed on Hua Suihe. “Hello, miss. Here to look at apartments? What kind of layout are you interested in?”
The saleswoman acted as if Ye Susheng didn’t exist, enthusiastically answering Hua Suihe’s questions the entire time.

Noticing that the lady spoke to thin air from time to time, the saleswoman’s gaze turned intriguing for a moment. She gave a knowing smile. “Beautiful lady, I know exactly what kind of layout you need most.”

“We also have move-in-ready units available. You can move in immediately with just your bags. There are various themed rooms to choose from.”

Ye Susheng wanted a move-in-ready house, so she nudged Hua Suihe to look at the photos of the finished units.

The prices were clearly listed; a two-bedroom apartment cost no less than a hundred million.

Hua Suihe stared at the prices in the brochure and fell silent. Her eyelid twitched, and the words to give up were on the tip of her tongue.

“Hua Hua, this one looks so pretty! Can we go see it?” Ye Susheng pointed at a pink-and-white princess-style house in the brochure, her eyes sparkling as she looked at Hua Suihe.

The master bedroom was very spacious. It had no balcony but featured a floor-to-ceiling window. In front of the window sat a pink cage wrapped in golden filigree. Inside the cage was a hanging swing chair that could seat two people.
