“Big brother, does this small town really have that thing?”

Outside the Trading House, two young people stood there, worried. The taller, handsome young man frowned, “The information should be correct. If we miss this chance, I’m afraid we won’t get another. I just didn’t expect that thing to show up in such a small place.”

“Yeah… We’ve been running around for so long, never thought we’d find it in such a backwater.”

The slightly shorter girl clearly looked down on this small town. “Well, showing up in a place like this, probably not many people know about it. We might actually have a chance.”

“Let’s go.”

The young man whispered. Just as the two were about to enter the Trading House, his gaze couldn’t help but pause.

It was Ye Guilan. Her beautiful appearance caught the young man’s eye, and he couldn’t help but glance at her a few more times. He hadn’t expected to see such a lovely face in a place like this.

Ye Guilan, however, didn’t notice anything and walked straight into the Trading House.

The girl beside him urged him on, and only then did the young man snap out of it and follow her in. The others entering through the door also spotted Ye Guilan and couldn’t help but laugh.

“Hey, isn’t that Boy-Crazy Ye? What’s she here to buy this time?”

“Whatever she buys, isn’t it all for some man?”

“Haha, you’re right. Even a Spatial Jade Pendant can be given away-only she would do something like that. Not the slightest bit of regret. Such a pretty face, but really just an airhead.”

The young man frowned slightly as he listened. He hadn’t expected her to be that kind of person…

The Trading House was never quiet for a day. As soon as Ye Guilan walked in, someone sharp-eyed recognized her.

“Oh, isn’t this the Ye family’s young lady? What are you looking to buy today? Gold, silver, jade-lots of new stock. Want to take a look?”

Ye Guilan didn’t even have to think about it. The original Ye Guilan was a regular here, and the things she bought… had terrible taste.

Coming to the Trading House to buy gold, silver, and jade-was she afraid people wouldn’t know her family was rich? The very picture of a nouveau riche.

Ye Guilan didn’t see any sign of Ye He. Most likely, her father was a VIP here and had already been invited inside.

Anyone who could buy a Spatial Container like Ye He was surely a super VIP here.

“I’m just looking around…”

Ye Guilan spoke, and the attendant wasn’t in a hurry. “Then please look through the catalog first. If anything catches your eye, let me know. Oh, by the way, Lord Ye was here earlier. He must be buying that thing to please his daughter.”

But the seats below were packed, and Ye He hadn’t noticed her.

People kept coming in. Ye Guilan glanced back-hmm? Weren’t those the two young people she saw at the door earlier?

Ye Guilan only glanced at them before looking away. She was really curious what her father was here to buy, and… there were some things she needed to figure out.

Flipping through the Trading House catalog, Ye Guilan searched for the pills section. Spirit-Cleansing Pill, Spirit-Cleansing Pill… She didn’t find the name, but she did find the Spirit-Building Pill. Looking at the prices listed for different grades of Spirit-Building Pill, Ye Guilan could only curse inwardly.

Even the lowest grade Spirit-Building Pill cost ten thousand!

How many tens of thousands had she swallowed in these seven days?!

As luck would have it, those two young people were also sitting across from her, though not on the high platform but among the seats below.
Ye Guilan looked up at Ye He. From across the table, it was almost like looking at herself. The young man was stunned to see her nosebleed, and this only confirmed in his mind her reputation for being lovestruck. This girl… she actually got a nosebleed just from looking at him-was that even possible?

The boy blushed and turned his gaze away, while the girl beside him burst out laughing. “Oh my, so lovestruck she’s got a nosebleed… Just how obsessed is she with big brother’s face?”

“Don’t joke around!”

The boy was a little embarrassed and annoyed, seeing that Ye Guilan across from him was still staring at him, and for a moment, he didn’t know what to do.

But Ye Guilan was completely oblivious, her attention fixed solely on Ye He, inwardly lamenting the hundreds of thousands she’d spent.

The door to the room was quickly closed, and the host stepped onto the central platform. Ye Guilan’s gaze shifted-the auction was about to begin.

“Mr. Ye, it seems you’re determined to win this.”

On the high platform, someone beside Ye He spoke up. Ye He smiled, not denying it. “This item is hard to come by. Its appearance here is truly unexpected. Very few know about it, but the price won’t be low.”

Ye He chuckled softly, “I’m well aware, and I came prepared.”

On the auction stage, the host cleared his throat. “Ladies and gentlemen! The item up for auction today is truly rare. Its appearance at this auction is a once-in-a-century event. Please consider carefully-if you miss this chance, you may never get another.”

“As you all know, Alien Races live alongside humans on this land, with the Mutant Beast Races being the most dominant. But humans have ways to tame them and rise above!”

The room fell silent, everyone’s hearts pounding. Ye Guilan stared at the host, her mind buzzing-could the auction item really be…?

“That’s right, there is only one item up for auction tonight, just one!”

“Swish!”

The curtain behind the host was suddenly pulled open, revealing a massive cage. Inside, a huge leopard lay sleeping.

Its fur was glossy and sleek, with red and black patterns winding across its body, and its beastly tail was covered in phosphorescent scales.

“This is… a Cloud Armor Leopard.”

As soon as the host finished speaking, someone stood up, shouting out a price in excitement, “500,000!”

“Big brother! It really is that one!”

The two young people were also thrilled. The boy stared intently at the Cloud Armor Leopard in the cage, clenching his fists tightly, just about to make a bid when the auctioneer’s voice rang out again, “The starting price is 1,500,000!”

Ye Guilan sat dazed in her chair, seeing a string of zeros appear before her eyes… She looked up at Ye He on the high platform, and sure enough, he made a bid.

Ye He’s casual words instantly deflated the boy.

The auctioneer beamed as he looked around the room. This price had far exceeded his expectations, and no one present could bid any higher.

When the word “Sold!” was called, Ye Guilan felt her legs go weak. How many zeros had just disappeared like that?

Ye He spoiled his daughter so much that the old Ye Guilan probably never knew how much these things actually cost. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have given away things like a Spatial Bracelet so casually.

The auction ended; the highest bidder wins. The young man knew this truth all too well and, though helpless, could only walk out with resignation on his face.

“Big brother, that’s the lovesick girl!”

Ye Guilan was stunned. Give you the Cloud Armor Leopard?

Never mind whether the Cloud Armor Leopard was something Ye He wanted to give away. Even if it was, this girl’s sense of entitlement was bizarre. And… she got a nosebleed from looking at her brother? When did that happen?

“Who are you? Do I know you?”

Ye Guilan was annoyed. An eight-million Cloud Armor Leopard-do you think I’ll just give it to you because you ask? Who do you think you are?

Ye Guilan looked at her and, instead of getting angry, just laughed. “What I give away is none of your business. I just won’t give it to you-what can you do about it?”

“You…!”

The girl was about to make a move when the young man quickly held her back. “Sorry, she was too rude. We’ll leave now.”

He dragged the girl away. Ye Guilan stood there, then suddenly called out, “Hey! If I give you the Cloud Armor Leopard, how will you repay me?”

The young man paused, turned to look at her, and Ye Guilan flashed him a sweet smile. “How about marrying me as thanks?”

The young man’s face instantly turned bright red, and his sister shouted on the spot, “Dream on! Shameless girl!”

“I’m just joking-don’t take it seriously.”

“You…!”

His sister was so furious that smoke seemed to be coming out of her ears, while the young man stood aside, embarrassed and red-faced.

Ye Guilan smiled at the two of them, then turned to head home. The young man watched her back, thinking about her mischievous expression earlier, and realized he’d misunderstood her.

The nosebleed… definitely wasn’t because of him.

Thinking of this, he couldn’t help but call out, “Miss Ye! I’m sorry!”

Ye Guilan stopped walking. She couldn’t help but look back and met the young man’s sincere eyes.

He nodded at her and was about to leave, when Ye Guilan suddenly asked, “Why do you want that leopard?”

The young man looked at her and gave a bitter smile. “To save a life.”
