Novel Info

On the one hundred and eightieth year after his transmigration, Anuo decided to start keeping a diary.

It wasn’t because he liked writing diaries, nor because he wanted to record the strange changes that had quietly occurred to him over the past few months. It was simply because it was an order from his sister, the Elven Queen.

-“You insisted on spending eight hundred thousand silver coins to buy this antique Dip Pen, which is good for nothing except looking pretty. So you have to use it, at least for one solar cycle.”

For Elves, one solar cycle is a year.

His sister really was too ruthless.

A domineering Queen will one day lose the love of the Elves!

The Salamandrel Queen, crowned with thorns, stood before the Tulipwood writing desk, her head lowered as she toyed with the childish trinkets on her brother’s desk. Hearing the weak, kitten-like protest from across the table, she snorted, treating her brother’s words as mere nonsense: “Whose love am I going to lose? Yours? If your idea of love is trying to kill me with your exam scores, then I beg you, Anuolaide, don’t love me. It’s pointless.”

At the mention of last school year’s less-than-ideal exam results, Anuo shrank back. He’d been studying at Sky Fortress Magic School for nearly fifty years, and this was the first time he’d ever failed a class-and it would be the last!

-His survival instinct was in overdrive.

That day’s practical magic exam was a complete accident; Anuo suddenly couldn’t use Light Magic. But he was a Light Elf! Back when he was still hanging on the Kabbalah Tree of Life, he was the brightest bud on the whole tree. Literally the brightest-no one shone more than him and his sister.

However, this one-sided disconnect from the light element lasted only a short while. Before the exam ended, Anuo was once again bathed in light. It was just that his grades couldn’t be saved.

Anuo couldn’t understand why this had happened. Surely his great God of Light, after ignoring the countless living beings of Falres Continent for who knows how many years, wouldn’t suddenly deign to notice that among his devout followers, there was an atheist Elf like him?

But it was really hard to make him believe there were gods in this world, even though he’d already learned magic.

To Anuo, magic was simply a way for the living beings of this world to learn and master the rules of power.

Still, just in case, he spent almost the entire summer soaking in the Pantheon of the Elven King’s Land, praying before the statue of the God of Light beneath the gorgeous stained glass windows. He was sure he’d patched things up with the God of Light, and that the make-up exam when he returned to school would go off without a hitch.

“How exactly did you pray?” Her Majesty the Queen knew her brother, born from the same bud, all too well.

Anuo, using his emerald-green Dip Pen, slowly wrote a line of Ancient Elvish on the Parchment: [Of course I asked the merciful and great God of Light to help me pass this exam. If not, then next year I’ll try asking the God of Darkness.]

Salamandrel Queen: “…” You really aren’t afraid of dying, are you.

Author’s Note:

Anuo: Our goal is to make the gods of other worlds join the rat race!

Queen Sala: If the God of Light can bless you after all this, what kind of masochist must He be?
