Survival Game? But She's Already Slaughtered the Entire Server - Chapter 13
“Are you done? If so, go make dinner. I’m hungry.”
“Also, I don’t eat sesame oil. Don’t put any in.”
Ruan Tian leaned back on the sofa, not even lifting an eyelid, her tone calm and unruffled.
Those poisonous accusations and biting contempt were, to her, like the wind outside the window-gone as soon as it blew past.
After all, she had a good temper and never argued with those about to die.
Lin Father and Lin Mother were both stunned.
Were they hearing things?
Lin Zhiqing actually dared to talk to them like that-was the world turning upside down?
Lin Father stiffened his face, furrowed his brows, and raised his voice as if he hadn’t heard clearly: “What did you say?”
Lin Mother, having come to her senses, was even more agitated. Her eyes widened, her tone incredulous: “Lin Zhiqing, how can you talk to your father like that?”
She rushed forward half a step, pointing at Ruan Tian’s nose, her voice sharp and harsh: “You really have no manners! Who taught you to speak to your elders like this, you ill-bred thing.”
Ruan Tian looked up. Lin Mother’s finger was still waving in front of her eyes. She said nothing, just gently pinched Lin Mother’s wrist.
“Ah!” A short cry of pain burst out.
Lin Mother’s face turned pale with pain. As she yanked her hand back, she saw her reddened knuckles.
Ruan Tian had already withdrawn her hand, her fingertips tapping lightly on her knee, her gaze as calm as a still pool: “Don’t point at people; it’s impolite.”
The light from outside fell on her hair. Her posture was clearly relaxed, yet for some reason, no one dared make another sound.
Lin Mother clutched her finger, momentarily forgetting what she wanted to say.
Seeing this, Lin Father was filled with rage. He grabbed the wooden chair beside him and swung it hard at Ruan Tian.
Ruan Tian reacted quickly, dodging to the side. The chair leg brushed past her shoulder with a gust of wind, crashed heavily onto the sofa, and then fell to the floor with a loud “bang,” breaking into several pieces.
“Ungrateful daughter! This is how you talk to us? You even dare to lay hands on your mother? If I don’t teach you a lesson today, I’m not your father.”
Lin Mother clutched her reddened wrist and screamed: “Lin Zhiqing! Are you trying to turn the heavens upside down? You made your father this angry and you still dodge! You’re nothing but an ungrateful wretch!”
Lin Father pulled out a stick as thick as an arm from behind the door and swung it at Ruan Tian, cursing her for being unfilial as he did.
Ruan Tian had no interest in playing with these two old fools. She had planned to let them off easy before they left, but now it seemed there was no point in being too empathetic.
As Lin Father swung the stick down, Ruan Tian flipped her wrist and caught it firmly.
Before he could finish cursing, Ruan Tian kicked out, swift and decisive.
Lin Father was sent flying like a ragdoll.
Now he was lying on the ground clutching his chest, howling in pain.
Whether in the previous world or in the game, when had he ever suffered like this?
Lin Father was in so much pain he couldn’t even curse anymore, only harsh, labored gasps remained.
Ruan Tian’s kick had nearly sent him straight to the afterlife.
Lin Mother forgot about the pain in her finger and hurried over to help: “Old man, are you alright?”
Lin Mother anxiously massaged Lin Father’s chest. When his face finally regained some color, she tried to help him up.
But Lin Father was overweight, and the frail Lin Mother couldn’t lift him at all. She could only support his upper body so he could barely sit up.
Lin Father’s eyes burned with anger as he strained his neck to curse: “Ungrateful daughter, how did I end up with such an unfilial child?”
Lin Mother chimed in with her own accusations: “Lin Zhiqing, look at what you’ve done.”
“He’s your father. He hits you and scolds you for your own good. What’s wrong with taking a few hits? And you even dare to lay hands on your parents? That’s the height of unfilial behavior.”
“Aren’t you going to hurry over and help your father onto the sofa?”
Ruan Tian strolled over slowly, looking down at them from above, her gaze still calm.
“You want me to help? Are you sure?”
Lin Father was about to curse her out, but when he met Ruan Tian’s half-smiling, half-mocking eyes, a chill involuntarily crept up in his heart.
The curse stuck in his throat, and he stammered, “You… what are you trying to do?”
“Lin Zhiqing…”
Lin Mother still wanted to put on the airs of an elder, but before she could finish, her collar was suddenly grabbed, and her whole body was flung aside by Ruan Tian as if she were a rag doll.
With a ‘thud,’ she crashed into the wall, and as she slid down, Lin Mother’s face twisted in pain, mirroring Lin Father’s expression.
“Crazy! You’re absolutely crazy!” Lin Father shrank back, pointing at her with a trembling hand. “We’re your parents! Aren’t you afraid of being struck by lightning for laying hands on us?”
The look Lin Father gave Ruan Tian was no longer one of disdain and disgust, but of wariness and fear.
Struck by lightning? It had already happened once.
Ruan Tian sighed softly and simply repeated, “I’m hungry. Go cook.”
Lin Father stiffened, unmoving. Ruan Tian raised her foot and kicked the glass coffee table beside her.
With a crisp crash, shards scattered all over the floor.
These two old folks were still useful for now; she couldn’t let them die just yet.
But that didn’t mean they could disobey.
Ruan Tian only glanced at him indifferently, her tone lifting slightly, “Hmm?”
Lin Father’s eyelid twitched. All his previous bluster vanished. Gritting his teeth, he propped himself up with one hand, clutching his waist with the other, and hunched his way toward the kitchen.
Lin Zhiqing had gone mad. He and his wife were no match for her. Better to placate her for now-when Xiaxia came back, they could deal with her then.
Lin Father told himself: endure, just endure for now.
Sooner or later, he would show this unfilial daughter who was boss.
Lin Father endured the pain and busied himself in the kitchen.
Ruan Tian sat back on the sofa. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Lin Mother crouching and crawling toward the door. Just as Lin Mother touched the entryway floor, Ruan Tian spoke up: “Send a message to Lin Zhixia and tell her to come back with that person.”
Lin Mother’s body froze. Her urge to escape was instantly snuffed out. She was a bully who feared the strong, and now, faced with the oppressive aura radiating from Ruan Tian, her legs were cramping with fear.
“O-okay.”
Lin Mother shakily opened the Holographic Screen, her fingers trembling so much she could barely hit the right keys.
She snuck a glance at Ruan Tian on the sofa, seeing her reclining with her eyes closed as if she wasn’t paying attention. Lin Mother hurriedly and clumsily sent a message to Lin Zhixia:
[Xiaxia, come home quickly. Lin Zhiqing has gone crazy. She’s like a different person this time-she attacked your father, pushed me down, and now she’s forcing us to do things. Please come save us.]
Lin Mother sent several messages in a row but got no reply from Lin Zhixia, guessing she was probably busy, but she couldn’t help feeling anxious.
Her back and fingers were still burning with pain; she didn’t want to spend another moment in the same space as Lin Zhiqing.
“Are you done?”
Ruan Tian suddenly spoke, startling the already nervous Lin Mother.
“Y-yes, I’m done.”
Lin Mother hid her hand with the Holographic Screen behind her back, afraid Ruan Tian would check what she had sent.
Ruan Tian glanced at her lightly, her gaze knowing, and said indifferently, “Since you’re done, come clean this up.”
After all, this could very well be her future home.
Sigh! If she’d known, she wouldn’t have smashed the coffee table just now.
