Chapter 173

She paused, then asked again, “Aside from that? Is your body still uncomfortable?”

“Uncomfortable?”

Ashera tilted his head slightly, a faint, amused smile playing on his lips as he let out a low laugh.

His long, straight silver hair fell over his knees, flowing like moonlight over water.

“The only thing I’m uncomfortable with right now is that you’re so close to me, yet you only ask me that.”

As he spoke, he leaned in closer.

He gripped her wrist and pulled her toward him.

Under his guidance, her deep red gaze couldn’t help but flicker downward again.

But there, there was still no reaction.

Beili had never actually put anything into practice.

Her knowledge in this area was based on novels she had read and movies she had seen, which gave her a general understanding.

Of course, she knew that novels and movies were exaggerated and glossed over; they couldn’t be applied directly to reality.

But no matter how much they exaggerated, after three hundred pills and his earlier manic state, by now it should have…

Uh…

Stood up, right?

What was she thinking? She was truly losing it.

“Little Butterfly.”

The man urged her slowly.

She had no choice but to take a light breath, suppressing her racing heart and her confusion. Pretending to be nonchalant, she reached out her right hand and pressed down.

Ashera’s Black Robe became like a swamp.

It submerged her hand in an instant.

Before Beili could react, she saw her hand sink into the thick, black mire.

At the same time, she heard a low, shuddering groan.

It came from his shifting Adam’s apple.

Her red eyes flickered slightly.

She tried her best to block out the sounds she was hearing and the fact that her hand was sinking into his flesh.

A single doubt remained in Beili’s mind-

Ashera had a head, a neck, and limbs, but he seemed… to have no torso?

Aside from his heart, was his torso also one of the three things that had been taken away?

Beili’s mind went somewhat blank.

She didn’t know what would happen with her hand submerged in Ashera’s flesh like this.

She didn’t dare move her hand at all. It felt as if it were soaking in flowing blood, and that blood was teeming with centipedes, small crawling insects, and countless ants.

They crawled around her fingers intimately, scurrying in every direction.

Every time she moved even a single finger, Ashera’s eyelashes would tremble, and he would let out a muffled groan.

…This was bizarre.

No novel, no movie ever went like this.

She must be doing it wrong.

“Ashera?”

She looked up, wanting to pull her hand out.

“Shh…”

A pale index finger pressed gently against her lips, stopping her from speaking further.

“Don’t talk, Little Butterfly… It feels very good right now.”

His thin lips parted slightly, and a subtle expression appeared on his perfectly sculpted face.

He held her wrist, preventing her from withdrawing her hand.

“You’ve made me feel much better.”

The way he said it-he was clearly encouraging her to continue.

But how was she supposed to continue? This was a total blind spot in her knowledge…

Beili remained silent in a daze for a few seconds, then cautiously and slowly gave a little squeeze.

It felt like grabbing a handful of blood vessels as thin as silk threads.

Then, she saw the silver-haired man in the Black Robe catch his breath, his hollow gold eyes trembling.

Between his brows, there was a visible sense of pleasure.

She felt like she was starting to figure it out; as long as she was gentle, she shouldn’t hurt him.

And so, Beili continued to stroke those viscous, thread-like lines of blood, as if her fingers were raking through hair, gently combing through a section.

Ashera’s expression changed instantly, a flash of panic flitting across his face.

“Enough…”
His grip on her wrist suddenly tightened, and his low, heavy voice turned husky.

“Little Butterfly, I don’t want to keep going anymore.”

He suddenly regained a sliver of reason, his tone carrying a hint of seriousness.

“Okay.”

Hearing him say that, Beili immediately nodded in agreement, relaxing her fingers at the same time.

She also wanted to pull her hand back.

However, the blood within the Black Robe seemed to have congealed in an instant; no matter how much force she applied, she couldn’t get her hand out.

Moreover, despite someone saying he ‘didn’t want to keep going,’ he was still holding onto her hand.

She hesitated for a moment and said tactfully, “Then… can you let go?”

“Mm…”

Ashera only let out a low murmur, as if he could no longer hear her words.

Or perhaps, as if he had become even more delighted.

The smile at the corners of his lips widened bit by bit.

He leaned back, lying gently onto the bed.

His silver hair, which looked like a gathering of vast starlight, spread across the neatly laid out white quilt.

He tilted his head back.

His Adam’s apple trembled slightly with his voice, and the curve of his lips reached its peak.

He looked… like he was about to pass out from pleasure.

Beili blinked her red eyes and thought about it, deciding that he was most likely playing hard to get just now.

In that case, she might as well let him enjoy it.

It was better than him going on a rampage in the room later, or running off to cause trouble at the Flea Nest.

With that thought, she curled her fingers and made a grabbing motion within the blood, suddenly clenching a handful of thread-like blood vessels.

That smile on his thin lips suddenly froze.

The dark red vertical pupils within the man’s golden eyes instantly constricted until they were as thin as paper.

Beili looked down at him and asked softly, “How about now? Do you feel better?”

Ashera remained quiet for nearly ten seconds before his shoulders and arms gradually began to relax.

“My dear Little Butterfly…” he sighed softly, his words slurred. “You always know how to make me happy.”

What else could she do?

She could only marvel-this truly was a magical experience.

“Are you better?” she asked again.

But the man did not answer.

After waiting quietly for a few seconds, she tried to gently pull her hand out again.

This time, it came out easily, without a single trace of blood on her hand.

After her hand left him, Ashera transformed from the form of a man with ram horns into a Black Lamb.

After turning into the Black Lamb, he walked to her side, curled up, and nudged her gently.

“Little Butterfly… so wonderful…”

The man’s voice came from the Black Lamb, his low, soft voice gradually fading as if he were talking in his sleep.

“But, I’m not that easily satisfied…”

“I want you to belong to me forever…”

His voice grew weaker and weaker.

“My Little Butterfly…”

Finally, he fell silent, his golden eyes closing as he actually drifted off to sleep.

He was asleep.

Wait… he actually sleeps?

This was the first time Beili discovered that Ashera could sleep; before this, she had assumed this Demon didn’t need rest.

If he could sleep, why didn’t he ever sleep when he was with her?

“Are you afraid I’ll enter your dreams?”

She let out a silent laugh.

Her jewel-like, deep red eyes looked at the lamb softly.

Beili lifted the quilt, moved him next to the pillow, and then pulled the quilt over to cover him.

Afterward, she took a shower and changed into a nightgown before lying down under the covers, reaching out to hug the sleeping lamb.

She pondered in the darkness for a while before slowly falling asleep.

In the middle of the night.

The moon hung high, stars twinkled, and as the moonlight became bright and clear, Beili was in the middle of a dream when she suddenly felt the quilt become very heavy.

It pressed down on her like a heavy stone, making it almost impossible for her to breathe.
