After Ashera finished speaking, he tilted his head back and drank all the blood.

He casually wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth with his hand, and the two shriveled Sunny Dolls were tossed onto the floor.

Bright red drops of blood splattered, like rose petals on the verge of decay, dotting his pale, sculpted face and blending into the black robe draped over him.

On the other side.

Beili’s mind went blank under the suffocating pressure.

But Ashera’s words still jolted her stalled thoughts back into motion.

He had said-

‘There’s not much time left.’

And…

‘A Dream Domain of this magnitude cannot be opened at will.’

Beili quickly realized that once her Mana was depleted, the Dream Corridor would close.

Because reopening the Dream Corridor required the opener to possess powerful Mana to sustain it.

And she clearly did not have that.

“…You’re right, it doesn’t matter.”

Beili was easily persuaded by him.

She murmured softly, at the same time stepping aside, squeezing out through the narrow gap between the window and Ashera.

“I’ll go first, do as you please.”

Without looking back, Beili strode quickly toward the door.

On one hand, Ashera in this form was simply too mad, the pressure he exuded was overwhelming.

She had no confidence in her chances of survival sharing a space with him.

On the other hand, Beili also noticed that the Butterflies around her were gradually decreasing.

If, as Ashera said, the Dream Corridor could not be reopened in a short time,

then she could not afford to linger even a second longer, lest she miss this precious opportunity.

…

The attic room was not large to begin with.

From the window to the door was only a few steps.

Encountering no external obstruction, Beili quickly reached the door, opened it, and was about to step out when she suddenly felt a weightless sensation as if the ground beneath her feet had vanished.

A moment before she fell, a hand tightened around the Young Woman’s waist and pulled her back.

Beili looked down and realized that at some point, the floor beneath her had turned into a void abyss.

The corridor outside the door was like a broken train, floating and shattered into countless pieces.

It was more than ten meters from the attic room’s door.

A strand of blood-stained silver hair fell onto her shoulder.

“Be careful… reckless Little Butterfly.”

A deep and hoarse voice came from above her head.

One hand gripping the hand around her waist, the other clutching the doorframe, Beili steadied herself and looked back at the tall man behind her.

“Is the dream about to collapse?” she asked anxiously.

Ashera chuckled lightly and released her waist.

“Unfortunately, yes.”

Beili was unwilling to accept this, her breath quickening. “Can I turn into a Butterfly and fly over?”

“I’m afraid not.”

Ashera replied unhurriedly, “Your Mana has already been completely drained by the vast Dream Domain.”

As if to confirm his words, a rumbling sound came from ahead.

The entire attic room began to shake.

The corridor, already broken into countless segments, started to shatter into blocks.

“Hmm… that doesn’t sound good.”

Ashera finished speaking and slowly lowered his head, ‘watching’ Beili as if enjoying a show, his golden eyes hollow.

Standing at the edge of the void abyss.

The tips of his silver-gray hair fluttered backward in the wind.

She looked up, staring at his bloodstained, cold lips.

Beili’s thoughts raced, as if she had made up her mind.

Beneath trembling lashes, her red eyes burned with intensity. She took a gentle breath.

Black mist gathered beneath her feet, and a hoarse voice sounded.

“I’m afraid we must say goodbye here, my dear Little Butterfly… mm…!”
Before she could finish speaking, Ashera let out a muffled groan.

A cloud-like warmth invaded his cold lips.

Beili pressed down on Ashera’s nape, and while he was unguarded, she rose on tiptoe and pressed her lips to his, bringing with her a few strands of silver-gray hair.

The blood-stained cold lips trembled slightly.

It was as if, for a brief moment, his vision was restored-the golden vertical pupils suddenly contracted into fine needles, and the dark light in his eyes flickered even more intensely.

Then, the suffocating sense of oppression swept over once again.

Worried about her severed tongue, she didn’t dare attempt anything too dangerous. She merely brushed his lips like a dragonfly skimming water, sucking the blood between them, and quickly pulled away.

The instant the distance widened, her chin was seized again by icy fingertips.

Maintaining her upturned posture, she met those sacred yet demonic, but also hollow and lifeless golden vertical pupils.

Their faces were extremely close, and a chilling, gloomy aura enveloped her from above.

“…Very good, Little Butterfly. Should I praise you?”

Ashera reached out and wrapped his arm around her waist, his fingers tightening, his tone dangerous.

“Does this count as your farewell gift to me?”

“Sorry, it doesn’t seem very romantic…”

Beili spoke with difficulty, her red eyes darting nervously to either side.

Sure enough, as if pulled by some invisible force, the corridor that had been collapsing and nearly shattered into pieces stopped crumbling, and even seemed to be gradually gathering and restoring itself.

“But it worked.”

She added in a low voice.

He seemed pleased, letting out another low chuckle.

Then, grabbing the young woman’s nape, he kissed her back fiercely.

The man’s kiss was anything but gentle, carrying a punishing madness. Between their tightly pressed lips and teeth, there was only the chilling taste of blood.

That suffocating sense of oppression swept over her like a tidal wave, even stronger than before.

She had to focus all her attention just to keep her knees from buckling and kneeling in submission to him.

The thick scent of blood spread relentlessly in her mouth.

A moment later-

The young woman wrapped her arms around his neck to steady herself, her chest heaving as she gasped for breath in nervousness.

Her lips, swollen from the kiss, resembled flower buds, their color growing more vivid with each breath.

“Truly a bold… cunning… and greedy Butterfly.”

Ashera sighed slowly, then tightened his arm around her waist. “Your farewell gift-I accept it.”

“As a return gift, I should give you something as well…”

He lowered his head, drawing closer, his voice roughened as if ground by mineral sand.

“Guess-what will I give you?”

His hollow golden eyes ‘looked’ at her, and his tongue licked away the lingering warmth at the corner of his lips.

Then, Ashera released her, his fingertip pressing lightly between her brows and giving a gentle push.

Her stiff limbs could no longer cling on, and the young woman’s body gradually tilted backward.

The sensation of weightlessness struck again, wind howling past her ears.

“Next time you ask, remember to offer a sacrifice first.”

As soon as his words fell, a stream of black mist like flowing water surged from beneath Ashera’s feet, enveloping his body.

In the next instant, the man vanished from the doorway.

At the same time-

As the young woman fell from the attic room, in a moment when her black skirt billowed, she transformed into a swarm of Morpho Butterflies with blue-green wings.

The butterflies fluttered upward, swirling in the air.

Then, after orienting themselves, they flew toward a broken section of corridor suspended in the void.

They hurried, just before the fine black lines, thin as rain in the blue-green glow, disappeared.

Guided by the Morpho Butterflies, Beili finally found a floating, cracked door in the void.

Seeing the sign on the door reading ‘Library Tower, Third Floor’, she pushed it open and flew inside, surrounded by the swarm of butterflies.
