The instant her body flew through the door, the scene before her eyes was completely transformed.

She found herself in a windowless room, its floor covered by a dark red patterned carpet.

Beili stood in place, her red eyes quickly surveying her surroundings.

The room, overall, felt rather old. The corners of the walls bore obvious traces of peeling and flaking, and several animal heads hung as decorations on the walls.

The firewood in the fireplace crackled, giving off the scent of burning wood.

By the fireplace was a lounge chair, draped with several blankets.

The lounge chair rocked gently, then gradually came to a halt, as if someone had just been using it.

The flickering firelight cast a warm and tranquil atmosphere throughout the aged room.

A small round table sat quietly next to the lounge chair.

Beili walked over quickly. On the table she saw a cup of gently steaming, fragrant tea; a blank, yellowed page, torn from some unknown book; and an ordinary feather pen dipped in ink.

The whole room contained only these few, clearly visible items.

She lifted her hand.

The Morpho Butterflies fluttering around her seemed to respond to her summons, flying to every corner of the room, searching every nook and cranny without missing a single gap.

Moments later, the butterflies returned to her side.

No books. Not a single one.

“What kind of joke is this… A third floor of the library with no books at all is blatant fraud!”

Thinking of the string of events she’d gone through to find this door, and realizing that this thread of hope was now cut off, Beili let out a curse starting with ‘F,’ then kicked the small round table in frustration.

Although the table was not large, it was unusually heavy. After she kicked it, it only shifted a little.

But the items on the table were thrown into disorder.

The hot tea in the cup sloshed and splashed onto the tabletop. The feather pen rolled to the table’s edge, skimming across the yellowed page and leaving behind a jagged black ink mark.

Beili, her energy deflated, collapsed heavily into the lounge chair.

With a creak, the lounge chair started rocking again from her fall.

The soft blankets draped over the chair wrapped around her, as if absorbing all her exhaustion.

Many images flashed through her mind-

Messenger Yue, feeding her Holy Water by candlelight…

Susanna’s fearful, evasive gaze when she saw her…

Lisa’s swollen, reddened cheeks…

And the thin, blind boy in the cage, straining desperately to reach her…

…

As Beili lay in the lounge chair, drifting into drowsiness,

A faint rustling sound could be heard from somewhere in the room.

Her entire body tensed. She snapped open her red eyes and turned her head warily toward the source of the sound.

It was on the small round table beside the lounge chair.

At that moment, the feather pen seemed to be held by an invisible force, standing slightly tilted on the tabletop, trembling as it wrote something.

As Beili’s gaze swept over, the feather pen stopped, and slowly settled back onto the table.

…What is this?

Beili sat up, surprised, and looked at the now still feather pen on the table, her red gaze falling on the yellowed page.

With a slight lift of her finger, the Morpho Butterflies fluttered over, picked up the page, and floated it in front of her.

On what had previously been a blank page, besides the jagged ink mark, two new words had appeared-

[Name]

Beili glanced at the feather pen on the table, and the butterflies quickly brought it over to her.

Holding the pen, she cautiously wrote, right after those two words-

‘Bartholomew Constance’

The moment she finished writing,

The feather pen and paper seemed to be snatched away, drifting back to the surface of the round table, the tip of the pen moving to the next line beneath the words.

The sound of writing resumed.

Beili hurried closer and watched as black ink spread across the yellowed page, forming a neat and clear line of text-
[Bartholomew Constance once had a chance to ask, and the Book of Truth would unravel her confusion]

“!”

Beili’s heart began to pound violently.

If it could answer any question, then this piece of paper was far more useful than Advanced Teleportation Magic!

Just as she thought this, a tremor suddenly shook the ground, and dust fell from the ceiling.

It sounded as if the rumbling of collapsing buildings was echoing outside once again.

Beili glanced at the few remaining Morpho Butterflies around her.

Her chance to ask might be her greatest hope of leaving this place.

After a quick deliberation, she picked up the quill, carefully and meticulously writing on the yellowed page-

‘How can Beili from another world return to her original world?’

As soon as she stopped writing,

the entire room shook again, and countless cracks appeared in the walls.

The Morpho Butterflies around her vanished one after another.

Beili hurriedly propped herself up and crawled onto the small round table, her eyes fixed intently on the quill as it wrote with a rustling sound.

As the ink glided from the tip, a line of unfamiliar characters gradually appeared.

The sound of writing abruptly ceased.

Seeing the quill come to a stop, Beili picked up the paper, her face full of confusion.

Was this a spell to open a spatial passage? Or some other ancient script?

In any case, not a single word was recognizable to her.

Beili clutched the paper between her fingers, suddenly feeling overwhelmed.

Something even more frustrating than not finding a useful Magic Book on the third floor of the library had happened-the Book of Truth didn’t like to speak in human language.

Amid the thunderous rumbling, the cracks in the room grew larger and larger.

Debris from the ceiling fell all around her.

She quickly cleared her mind, focusing all her attention on that line of unfamiliar characters, striving to imprint them in her memory.

The last Morpho Butterfly gently landed on the back of her hand.

It turned into a point of light and vanished.

A violent jolt shook her, and the Young Woman let out a startled cry.

In the next second, the round table, fireplace, and lounge chair all disappeared.

Beili felt a powerful force pulling her back to the real world, impossible to resist.

As the final traces of the dream faded, her awareness of reality gradually returned.

She opened her eyes to find herself once again in the familiar attic room.

Outside the floor-to-ceiling window, the sky was a normal blue with white clouds.

After spacing out for five seconds, Beili suddenly scrambled off the bed in a panic.

She quickly found the stationery Lisa had given her earlier, recalling the line of unfamiliar characters and hurriedly recorded them with her pen.

Once she confirmed they were correct, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.

With the clue to return, she had achieved her most important goal in coming to Holy Island Academy.

After this, whether she stayed a few more days at the Academy or returned to Sainthos, she had no objections.

Beili slumped over the desk, resting her chin on the tabletop and murmured, “It’d be best to check the information in the morning and head back to Sainthos in the afternoon.”

After all, Ashera had been released with her help, even if it was unintentional.

Her sweat-soaked clothes clung stickily to her back.

She walked into the bathroom and took a shower.

After bathing and changing into clean clothes, Beili’s stomach began to protest with a loud rumble.

She touched her empty belly and realized Lisa hadn’t brought her breakfast today.

Recalling how lost Lisa had looked when she delivered dinner yesterday, Beili thought for a moment, then got up and walked toward the door.

“Quick, Beiji, did you hear something inside too?”

“Shh-don’t make noise, I’m listening!”

Muffled voices could be heard outside the door.

Beili’s hand paused on the door handle, then she pulled it open.

Two figures shrieked in surprise, stumbling and nearly falling to the floor.
