“You! You filthy cat!”

The two students glared at each other, cheeks puffed up in anger, and the atmosphere instantly became tense.

At that moment, a red-haired, black-eyed youth sitting at the far end stood up from his seat.

“Alright, alright, everyone calm down.”

Smiling, the youth spoke in a sing-song tone, “Though we come from different nations, we are all students of Holy Island Academy. We bask under the same sun, admire the same sea, and eat food from the same cafeteria…”

“Shut up, you foxy flirt!”

The two quarreling students shouted in unison.

At the same time, they both grabbed their cups of hot tea from the table and hurled them at the youth.

The red-haired, black-eyed youth swiftly turned to the side, dodging the two cups of hot tea with agile movements.

Letting out a breath, he theatrically wiped nonexistent sweat from his forehead.

“You keep calling me a foxy flirt, but you lack the proper respect and etiquette due to a prince of the Tilisha Kingdom.”

With a bewitching curve at the corner of his lips, Lance raised his slender fox-like eyes and drawled, “Fortunately, I am generous and tolerant. Not only will I not hold it against you, but I will also kindly remind you…”

He pointed to the floating eyeball beside him, then moved his fair, slender finger to his lips, mouthing silently:

‘Many people are watching.’

Upon hearing this, the two quarreling students seemed to finally realize something. Instinctively, they turned to glance at the Surveillance Orb beside them.

Suppressing their anger, they slowly sat back down, their expressions stiff.

Seeing this, Lance broke into a brilliant smile, picked up the wine jug on the table, and poured the hot milk wine he had specially prepared for each hunter student.

Then, raising his cup with a raised eyebrow and a smile, he said:

“Though we come from different nations, we are all students of Holy Island Academy. We bask under the same sun, admire the same sea, and now we taste the same pot of wine, enjoying the revelry of the Hunt Banquet together.”

With that, he was the first to raise his cup, downed the hot milk wine in one gulp, then turned his cup upside down, looking at the others expectantly.

Seated at the head, Prince Cyril listened, then also raised his cup and drank the hot milk wine in one go.

The remaining hunter students exchanged glances.

Though they all thought this fox was being dramatic and long-winded, they couldn’t help but agree-

No matter how great their usual conflicts, at this moment, they should present a harmonious and friendly front for the royal families of each nation to see.

So, the students also raised their cups one after another, drinking the fragrant hot milk wine.

Meanwhile, at the head of the table-

Cyril lifted his violet eyes, meeting Lance’s thin lips, which curled into a mischievous smile as he winked at him repeatedly.

Fingers gripping his cup, Cyril tugged at the corner of his mouth.

…

The students, acting as the second batch of prey, had already been teleported one after another into the maze arena.

Dean Madeline’s gentle, aged voice came through the magical loudspeaker-

“Now, the ten hunter students will enter the arena in order of ranking. The first is Cyril of Sainthos.”

As her words fell, a wave of excited screams and cheers erupted from the middle tier.

On the Magic Screen, Prince Cyril, with black hair and violet eyes, stood up from his seat and walked toward the Teleportation Array behind him.

…

From the moment Cyril was teleported to the Hunt Banquet arena, nine out of ten spectators kept their eyes fixed on the Magic Screen displaying Cyril’s solo footage.

After all, this outstanding Prince of Sainthos, even after taking first place in the competition, had never appeared at the closing event before.

Although the Holy Island Competition was exciting enough, the Hunt Banquet that followed was even more thrilling and popular among the audience.
So, after catching sight of Cyril at the Hunt Banquet, everyone was both expectant and curious as to what kind of spectacular hunting display His Highness the Prince would present.

The aloof youth with black hair and violet eyes, after being teleported into the Gloomy Maze garden, first swept his gaze around, then turned and looked at the eyeball-shaped Surveillance Orb beside him.

He grasped the orb in his hand, slowly bringing it closer.

The image displayed on the Magic Screen was a cold yet strikingly handsome face, gradually magnified.

The female students on the middle tier couldn’t help but let out a burst of excited, high-pitched screams.

Then…

The image on the screen suddenly twisted and dissolved into a wash of gray and white.

The girls’ screams instantly shifted from infatuation to bafflement.

“Oh… Cyril.”

The smile that usually lingered on His Majesty the King of Sainthos’s face also faltered.

Witnessing this, Dean Madeline turned to the Nun behind her and instructed, “Move another Surveillance Orb from the maze-that isn’t following anyone. Find Cyril and keep it by his side.”

A moment later, another Surveillance Orb was damaged.

After a while, three more Surveillance Orbs were destroyed.

Dean Madeline gave a chuckle, smoothing over the awkward atmosphere as she turned to look behind the Red Cardinal.

“Children being disobedient is nothing new…”

On the Magic Screen, bordered with dark red rose patterns and thorny vines, His Majesty the King of Sainthos slowly shook his head and sighed helplessly. “Forget it. Let him do as he wishes.”

…

After stepping into the Teleportation Array and experiencing a brief bout of dizziness, Beili arrived at the closing venue of the Hunt Banquet-the Gloomy Maze.

She raised her red eyes, surrounded by a dim gray mist.

She saw a neat and solid wall formed by densely grown hedges, and an archway carefully trimmed into the greenery.

Looking through the archway, she saw countless winding paths branching out like withered twigs-some straight, some curved. At every turn there could be a new direction, or a dead end.

The teleportation gate behind her had already closed, leaving only a heavier blanket of gray mist.

Beili drew a steadying breath, composed herself, and walked toward the archway, glancing up to assess the height of the hedge wall.

The wall looked to be four or five meters high, but for someone like her-who sprouted wings after transforming into a beast-scaling it would be no problem at all.

That way, she could move through the maze unimpeded.

As she considered this, Beili passed through the archway and stepped into the maze.

Just as she was about to transform into a Butterfly, something caught her attention and she suddenly paused.

She leaned in to take a closer look.

Only then did she discover that the hedges forming the wall were not plants, but some kind of hard, iron-like material.

They had been shaped to resemble hedges, with green paint applied to the surface.

The ‘leaves’ were trimmed to look neat, but the cut edges were extremely sharp; if anyone tried to climb the wall, their hands would surely be sliced open, their palms left bloody.

She reached out and touched the cylindrical ‘branches’ between the ‘leaves’, and in the blink of an eye, transformed into a Butterfly with shimmering blue-green wings, trailing a wisp of black mist as she flew to the top of the hedge wall.

A gloomy gray mist shrouded the entire vast and intricate maze.

The higher she flew, the denser the mist became.

Fluttering her wings, she looked down.

Apart from faint sounds drifting from various directions, she couldn’t see where anyone else was at all.

Just then, a brief, piercing burst of static rang out.

Then Madeline’s aged yet gentle voice sounded from above-

“All hunters have entered. The closing event begins. I wish all students an enjoyable Hunt Banquet.”
