Meng Po cracked a sunflower seed, dusted off her dress, and directed the Panguan to water the plants.

“The roots need to be thoroughly watered the first time. Hm? Why is your water clear?

The scholar screamed in terror.

Eldest Sister, dressed in white, was gently persuading a disfigured woman. The woman held a newborn baby in her arms, likely both burned to death in a fire. Her skin was so badly damaged it was unrecognizable, yet she refused to drink Meng Po Soup.

“Amitabha, young lady, your journey has ended. Drink this soup and enter the Cycle of Reincarnation.”

The baby in the woman’s arms let out a ghostly wail.

“Young lady, when will the cycle of vengeance ever end? You traded your life for his regret. If your parents knew in the afterlife, they would surely forgive you.

“Why not look up and see who is waiting for you on Naihe Bridge?”

On Naihe Bridge, a kind elderly couple was wiping away tears, looking on anxiously.

The woman instantly burst into tears. She drank the Meng Po Soup in one gulp, discarded the ghostly infant, and entered the Cycle of Reincarnation.

Second Sister snorted, “Eldest Sister, you showed favoritism!”

I shook my head and added another handful of sugar to the Meng Po Soup.

Once the soup is drunk, all memories of the past are forgotten.
