Novel Info

The two doors used for defense were dissolved; the Sea Slug’s bodily fluids were corrosive.

It chewed on the culture dish, and the mucus dripping from its mouthparts melted Tang Rou’s chair, emitting a sizzling sound. In no time, pitch-black holes appeared one after another.

Her face… was probably splashed with that stuff as well.

Tang Rou didn’t have time to feel the pain of disfigurement; she had to find a way to hide first, not be discovered.

The Mermaid was slumped by the sofa, head drooping in a daze.

While the Sea Slug was engrossed in gnawing on the items on her desk, Tang Rou rose extremely carefully, reached out, and covered the Mermaid’s mouth.

At that moment, the other’s eyes opened.

The instant of awakening, those eyes were gloomy, like a lifeless robot suddenly electrified, flashing with a gorgeous hint of bloodlust.

But upon seeing who was in front of him, the urge to kill slowly faded.

He blinked, feeling the warm touch on his lips.

A human was touching his mouth?

Why was she being so forward?

Tang Rou had no idea how far his imagination had wandered. She held her breath, eyes fixed on the alien creature roaming the Office.

It looked like it wouldn’t leave anytime soon.

The tiled floor was corroded into patches of small black holes, and the whole room was filled with a strange, pungent odor.

Tang Rou quietly climbed off the sofa, pressed down on the Mermaid’s shoulder, leaned close to his ear, and whispered, “Don’t make a sound.”

Her warm breath brushed his ear, and the Mermaid’s lashes trembled imperceptibly as he blinked.

Tang Rou slowly let go.

Taking advantage of the moment when the Sea Slug looked toward the glass wall, she quickly dragged the Mermaid behind the sofa.

However, the injured fish tail bumped into a vase on the table as they turned. In an instant, it was too late to reach out and save it.

Clang-

Porcelain collided with the marble table, producing a crisp sound.

The Sea Slug darted over. With a crack, the entire table was split in two by a terrifying force.

Tang Rou clamped her hand over her mouth, pressing down on the Mermaid’s shoulder, not daring to make a sound.

As long as they didn’t make a noise, it wouldn’t find them.

The Sea Slug frantically searched for living things, violently destroying cabinets, knocking over bookshelves, and slamming into the sofa with such force that the wood creaked and snapped.

Tang Rou closed her eyes, trembling with each heavy blow.

Fortunately, the Sea Slug’s antenna-like eyes were on top of its head, so they were in its blind spot, low to the ground.

The massive, writhing shadow was cast on the wall. Tang Rou pulled the Mermaid lower, adjusting their position, and had to restrain herself from letting out a gasp at each thunderous crash.

In the darkness, the Mermaid was watching her.

His gaze was like a cold serpent’s tongue, fixed on her cheek.

Tang Rou’s attention was focused on the monster outside. Suddenly, a cool, moist touch-unlike human body temperature-fell on her face.

She froze, eyes wide.

The Mermaid… was licking her face.

His cold, slender fingers gripped her wrist. Tang Rou was pulled by him, the wet, soft sensation sliding across her cheek, and she almost let out a sound.

But a hand gently covered her mouth, pressing the cry that had reached her lips back down.
Accompanied by gentle licking, the burning, corrosive pain on her cheek disappeared.

Tang Rou belatedly realized something.

Was she healing her wounds?

In her line of sight was the terrifying Sea Slug, its oppressive silhouette reflected on the wall beside her.

The Mermaid lowered her fine, slightly curled lashes, softly kissing Tang Rou’s wound.

Her trembling lashes were like a butterfly trapped in a spider’s web, fluttering as if about to take flight.

Was she nervous too?

Tang Rou wondered in a daze.

The pain in her cheek had already vanished. She didn’t know how well she had recovered, yet the Mermaid was still licking her…

No, rather than licking, it was more like a blatant kiss.

“Stop, that’s enough…” Her voice was barely above a whisper as she raised her hand to block her.

But the wet sensation followed her movement, landing in her palm.

Tang Rou shuddered, pulling her hand away, only to have her shoulder seized the next second.

The Mermaid’s movements were not gentle, but full of pressure.

Her long, masculine body pressed down on her, nearly pinning Tang Rou to the floor.

Worse still, the Mermaid’s other free hand lingered at her neck for a moment, then slid upward, threading through her hair to cradle the back of her head.

She couldn’t escape.

Tang Rou was forced into a strange predicament.

From covering her mouth at first, to now having her own mouth covered, with the back of her head held firmly.

Her cheek was being licked and sucked in an intimate way by this beautiful, non-human creature.

Strange emotions flooded her mind, making her forget that the Sea Slug was still nearby.

Her hair, smooth as water, brushed against Tang Rou’s neck, making her skin tingle. The wet sensation pressed upward, almost reaching her lips.

Those platinum-silver eyes were so close, watching her intently without blinking.

Her gaze was pure, without a trace of distracting thoughts.

At least, that’s how it appeared.

In contrast, Tang Rou’s own ambiguous, wandering thoughts felt filthy.

Just then, another sound echoed from the corridor outside the door.

A strange sound, tinged with a faint electric current.

Hard scales scraped across the floor, making a crisp, fragmented noise as they rubbed against the tiles.

Something else was approaching.

With a surge of electric sensation, the sound drew closer to the door.

The Mermaid finally released her.

From the corner of her eye, Tang Rou saw her lick her lips, the crimson, soft tip of her tongue gliding over her rosy, gorgeous lips, stirring the imagination.

She stared at Tang Rou’s cheek with lingering interest, where the skin had already returned to normal, smooth and unblemished.

A slender shadow appeared at the doorway.

Suppressing the strange feelings in her heart, Tang Rou pulled the Mermaid down with her, lowering their profiles.

The shadow grew longer and longer, and a slick, bluish-gray strip came into view.

Its skin was moist, humanoid, like a hunter lurking in the dark, dragging a long tail as it slid inside.

It had a tail too, but unlike the Mermaid’s.

This tail was pitch-black, sticky and slender, strip-like with a pointed tip, resembling a snake.

As it entered, its form became clearer in Tang Rou’s eyes.
