On the other side, Jiang Ci doubled back to the park, only to find that Bo Hanzhou had somehow fallen off the rockery and was now stuck headfirst into the lawn like a planted scallion.

“Hey, wake up.”

She turned him over and shook him a few times, but he didn’t wake. So, mercilessly, she raised her hand and slapped his handsome face.

Bo Hanzhou was jolted awake by the pain. The moment he opened his eyes, he saw Jiang Ci slapping him, and his strikingly handsome face instantly showed visible shock. “Why am I here? And why are you hitting me?”

Jiang Ci replied coolly, “You were possessed by a Little Ghost.”

“Are you out of your mind?” Bo Hanzhou didn’t believe in such things at all. He wiped away his nosebleed, staggered to his feet, and glanced around at his surroundings, his lips pressing into a thin line.

He’d sleepwalked again, and this time, he’d woken up in another strange place.

Jiang Ci glanced at the lingering sign of blood disaster on his forehead, guessing that the Green Fiend Evil Child would likely come for him again.

“Believe it or not, you were possessed by a Little Ghost.”

“You’re still under threat from a blood disaster that could endanger your life. If you want to survive, cooperate with me, and I’ll guarantee your safety.”

Looking at her serious expression, Bo Hanzhou’s gaze became somewhat intriguing. After a moment, he nodded.

“So, what do you need me to do?”

Jiang Ci calculated the time and said, “For the next twenty-four hours, you have to stay by my side at all times. Do whatever I tell you to do.”

Bo Hanzhou nodded obediently, “Alright, I’ll listen to you.”

“First, let’s get a cab to the Western Suburbs Incense and Candle Shop.” Jiang Ci said as she walked out of the park.

Tracking the Green Fiend Evil Child had drained her physical and mental energy; now she was so exhausted she just wanted to collapse and sleep.

Bo Hanzhou accompanied her to the roadside to hail a cab.

As soon as Jiang Ci got in, she leaned against the seat and fell into a deep sleep.

The driver asked Bo Hanzhou, “Where to?”

Bo Hanzhou turned to look at the peacefully sleeping Jiang Ci, a sly glint flashing in his eyes. He lowered his voice and said, “East District Fourth Hospital.”

The driver looked surprised, but quickly caught on and said, “You really have it tough as a family member, out here looking for her so late at night. Must’ve been hard to finally catch her, huh?”

The East District Fourth Hospital was the city’s famous psychiatric hospital.

“Don’t worry, I’ll get you to the Fourth Hospital as fast as possible!”

The driver declared resolutely, his demeanor as if heading into battle. To prevent the “patient” from escaping, he even thoughtfully locked the doors and windows.

Jiang Ci hadn’t expected that when she woke up, she’d be locked in a room surrounded by four walls.

Meanwhile, Bo Hanzhou, that sly fox, was outside talking to the doctor.

“She’s not quite right up here. Give her a thorough check-up.” He pointed to his head.

Chi Che, dressed in a white lab coat, replied meaningfully, “You really have unusual taste.”

Bo Hanzhou argued logically, “She’s an orphan. Her adoptive family doesn’t care whether she lives or dies. I’m the same-no parents, no family. We’re kindred spirits. If you cure her, she’ll be able to live on her own.”

“Well, well, since when did Young Master Bo become so compassionate?” Chi Che gave him a knowing look. “You’ve got your eye on her, haven’t you?”

Who didn’t know Bo Hanzhou?

Bo Hanzhou was the Cold-Faced King of Hell-he wouldn’t even blink if someone died in front of him.

How could he possibly pick up a girl for no reason and even bring her to him for treatment?

If Bo Hanzhou wasn’t interested in her, Chi Che wouldn’t believe it even if he was beaten to death.

“Really, I just think she’s pitiful.” Bo Hanzhou said, but couldn’t help recalling the scene when he first met Jiang Ci at the Jiang Family banquet that night.
Back then, she handled her injuries with such composure and calm.

Who would have thought she’d turn so eccentric later on?

It was true-seeing her so pitiful, his cold, hard heart inexplicably softened with a trace of compassion, which was why he lent her a hand.

“Pitiful, my ass!” Jiang Ci heard the conversation outside the door, her face darkening. “Believe it or not, I’ll summon a bunch of ghosts to dance at your house!”

Bo Hanzhou heard her shouting, and the sympathy on his face deepened. “See? She’s still talking about ghosts. There’s no such thing as ghosts in this world. You’re a doctor, isn’t that right?”

Chi Che nodded, “Her delusions are indeed a bit severe. Don’t worry, leave her to me.”

“By the way, did you finish the medication I prescribed last time?”

“Still have a few days left.”

“Then take some more with you while you’re at it.”

“Alright.”

The two chatted as they walked away.

Jiang Ci gritted her teeth, “The one who’s sick is you, Old Dog Bo.”

Bo Hanzhou really was a dog!

He was supposed to go to the Western Suburbs Incense and Candle Shop, but instead, he ‘sold’ her out to a psychiatric hospital.

She glanced at the thick, heavy iron door.

If her strength had fully returned, she could have kicked it open with one blow.

Jiang Ci took a deep breath.

Since she was here, she might as well settle in-just treat it as a change of scenery to rest.

She sat cross-legged, calmed her mind, and began to recuperate.

About an hour later, Chi Che opened the door and came in, as if afraid she’d run out the moment he entered, quickly locking the door behind him.

“What’s your relationship with Bo Hanzhou?” Chi Che asked, his face full of gossip.

Jiang Ci didn’t even open her eyes. “Enemies.”

Chi Che laughed, “He treats his enemy pretty well, then.”

“When did you start seeing ghosts? Can you hear them talk? What do they say to you?”

Chi Che chatted with her as if making small talk, but in reality, he was checking for hallucinations and auditory delusions.

Jiang Ci finally opened her eyes and looked at him, then smiled.

Chi Che was a bit thrown off by her smile.

Thinking back, it seemed she wasn’t looking at him, but at something behind him.

Chi Che turned to glance behind himself, then looked back at her. “What did you just see?”

Jiang Ci glanced at the name tag on his chest and smiled, “Doctor Chi is quite popular-or rather, quite haunted.”

“What do you mean?”

“Ghosts like you, especially girls with strawberry hair clips and ponytails.”

As soon as Jiang Ci finished speaking, Chi Che’s face changed instantly.

Because the girl she mentioned brought up a memory he didn’t want to recall.

Two years ago, when he started working at the hospital, the first patient he met was a young girl with strawberry hair clips and a ponytail.

Because of her special condition, the girl had stayed at the Fourth Hospital for a long time, and he was her attending physician.

But the girl had recovered and been discharged for over half a year, and never came back.

What did Jiang Ci say?

Ghost?

Chi Che didn’t believe in ghosts, but at that moment, he still felt a chill down his spine.

“Oh? You saw her? Why is she haunting you-does she have something to tell you?”

He could only follow Jiang Ci’s words, thinking she must have seen the Strawberry Girl at the hospital before and was now hallucinating about her.

Jiang Ci stared at him with a playful smile. “Doctor Chi, she’s haunting you~”

“She said she’d be with you even in death.”
