With a thud, Song Sibe collapsed to the ground.

His eyes, wide open as if unwilling to die, struggled for a long moment before finally closing.

“Young Master Song, it’s done!”

The subordinates flattered Jiang Ci with smiles.

At this moment, in their eyes, Jiang Ci was Song Sibe, and Song Sibe’s appearance had been confused and transformed into Jiang Ci.

This was the Shadow Swap Talisman, exchanging one’s own shadow with the other’s, thus deceiving the enemy’s eyes.

Jiang Ci knew that, with her current weak strength, the Shadow Swap Talisman wouldn’t last long.

At most, it could briefly confuse these few subordinates for ten minutes, so she had to get Song Sibe into the operating room as quickly as possible.

“Send him to the operating room immediately! If you dare delay even a minute, I’ll skin you alive!” she ordered sharply.

What the subordinates saw, however, was the stern and imposing ‘Song Sibe’, which frightened them into quickly packing up the ‘Jiang Ci’ on the ground and carrying him away.

“That brat looks skinny, but why is she so heavy? Like some burly guy!”

“Shh, stop talking nonsense. Be careful, Young Master Song will beat you.”

Jiang Ci leisurely followed behind them, returning to the hospital together.

She needed to see Song Sibe enter the operating room with her own eyes to be at ease.

“Dean Zhang, prepare for surgery immediately. Do the transplant for the Chairman right now!”

Dean Zhang was shocked when he saw Song Sibe lying on the bed. “How could it be Young Master Song? Isn’t he…”

The subordinates impatiently urged, “This is Young Master Song’s personal order. Do you dare defy it? He’s right here, hurry up and get the surgery done!”

These men were Song Sibe’s trusted subordinates. Dean Zhang trusted them and simply thought they hadn’t found Jiang Ci, so Song Sibe had to personally step up to donate a kidney to his father. He didn’t think much more and quickly called for nurses to wheel him into the operating room.

Jiang Ci stood at the corner, watching Song Sibe go in before she finally smiled.

“He wasn’t doing so well to begin with. Now without a kidney, what will our Young Master Song do in the future?”

She was certain Song Sibe would donate a kidney to Song Jinmin.

That was because when Song Sibe came to the Jiang Family to examine Xiao Ci, he accidentally revealed over the phone that he was actually the most suitable match.

Although Xiao Ci’s senses were unclear, anything she saw or heard would remain in her memory.

When Jiang Ci returned to life in Xiao Ci’s body, she inherited Xiao Ci’s memories.

So, the one to lose a kidney could only be Song Sibe.

Jiang Ci watched as the subordinates returned to normal, still muttering outside the door about where Young Master Song had suddenly gone and why he was nowhere to be seen.

She turned and left calmly. Passing by the emergency department, she saw Jiang Wan, still in her evening gown, hurriedly getting out of the car.

It seemed she had received news of Jiang Fu’s paralysis.

“Dad!”

Jiang Wan rushed anxiously into the ward.

She saw Jiang Fu paralyzed on the bed, unable to move, his mouth crooked and eyes askew, drooling incessantly, unable to utter a complete sentence.

The most unbearable thing was that he was covered in feces.

Attending physician: “Miss Jiang, your father had a sudden illness. Before you arrived, we already conducted thorough examinations. Other than being immobile, his vital signs are stable and his condition is steady…”

Jiang Wan’s eyes widened with anxiety. “My dad is completely paralyzed and can only lie in bed-how could he not be stable? I’m asking you, have you found the cause of his paralysis? Can my dad be saved?”

“Sorry, Miss Jiang. For now, we can’t determine the cause of your father’s paralysis.”

“If you don’t trust us, you can transfer him to another hospital for further examination.”

“By the way, you need to clean Mr. Jiang’s body, or he’ll develop bedsores.”
The attending physician looked helpless.

The specialists had held an emergency consultation, and all sorts of advanced tests had been done, but they simply couldn’t find the reason for Jiang Fu’s sudden paralysis.

He wanted to know too-had Jiang Fu contracted some disease never before seen in medical history? The onset was just too bizarre and suspicious.

Jiang Wan’s expression was unpleasant, a barely suppressed urge to lose her temper simmering beneath the surface.

A blind mother was already enough of a headache; she hadn’t expected to get a paralyzed father as well.

Everything had been perfectly fine before!

And today was her eighteenth birthday, her coming-of-age ceremony, yet fate had played such a cruel joke on her.

Jiang Wan couldn’t help but recall Jiang Ci’s bloodied, mangled face.

It seemed that from that moment on, her life had begun to unravel.

Jiang Fu tried to mumble and sob, wanting to tell his precious daughter that the culprit was Jiang Ci, and that she should catch her.

But after struggling for ages, all he managed was a mouthful of drool.

“Don’t worry, Dad. I’ll find the best doctors to treat you!”

Jiang Wan’s face was full of concern.

She took out a tissue and wiped the drool from his face.

Then she fetched water and personally cleaned his lower body, which was smeared with feces.

Jiang Fu was both furious and resentful, but at the same time, deeply grateful that he hadn’t acknowledged Jiang Ci, that wretched child.

Look at Jiang Wan-even though she wasn’t his biological daughter, she didn’t despise him at all. She did everything herself, taking care of him thoroughly.

And then look at Jiang Ci-after causing him to end up like this, she just ran off.

From now on, he would never recognize Jiang Ci as his unfilial daughter.

His precious daughter was only Wanwan!

…

Late at night, in the trees of the park.

Jiang Ci didn’t have the strength to walk home, so she simply found a random tree in the park outside the hospital and slept there.

She had drawn three talismans as soon as she arrived, and now her energy and stamina were depleted; she had to force herself to rest.

Unexpectedly, a sneaky shadow was watching her from the darkness.

Jiang Ci was sensitive to Yin Energy and knew exactly who was stalking her, but she couldn’t be bothered to respond.

The Yin Energy drew closer and closer, reaching the base of the tree.

She frowned slightly and clicked her tongue.

The person was so frightened that he immediately knelt down, “Master, please spare me!”

Jiang Ci opened her eyes and looked down to see that the one kneeling was the same sleazy man who had spoken rudely to her before.

“Why are you following me?”

“Master, I know you’re powerful. You used some kind of spell against Young Master Song just now, didn’t you? I even saw you asking Lord Bai for something…”

The sleazy man said with a tearful face, “I want to ask you for a favor. Could you help me, please?”

“With a mouth as foul as yours, you still need someone else’s help?” Jiang Ci retorted bluntly.

“Yes, yes, yes, it’s my foul mouth, my fault! I deserve a beating!”

The sleazy man started slapping himself hard, the sound echoing loudly.

Jiang Ci was exhausted now and didn’t want to hear him babble another word.

“Go cool off somewhere else.”

The sleazy man’s face lit up: “Master, you’re truly beautiful and kind!”

Master knew dawn was coming and even told him to go somewhere cool, afraid he’d be weakened by the sunlight.

So gentle, so considerate!

He’d really found the right person!

“I’ll wait for you by the public restroom!” The sleazy man floated away happily.

Jiang Ci: “?”

“Stop right there. You perverted creep, still thinking of peeping at people?”

The sleazy man hurriedly raised his hand and swore, “Master, you’ve wronged me! I may have a foul mouth, but I’m not a foul person. I’ve never done anything as filthy as peeping, really!”

Jiang Ci closed her eyes and said coolly, “Speak. What do you want from me?”
