The Mermaid Asks for Love - Chapter 3
The Mermaid was very happy to return to the sea.
However, it never dared to swim too far, always staying within my line of sight.
Occasionally, when I grew tired from refining potions and stretched my shoulders, I would see it quietly watching me.
Whenever it wasn’t raining, I always kept the window open. The cross breeze was very pleasant.
The sound of the waves seemed almost addictive.
Sometimes, when the waves were too strong, a crab or a shell would be tossed inside.
These little creatures weren’t afraid at all, as if they had entered their own backyard, curiously examining every item in the room.
I crouched down, and the little crab waved its claws at me.
I touched its claw with my finger.
It seemed a bit stunned, as if it hadn’t expected me to actually touch it.
It didn’t pinch me.
I laughed and tossed it back into the sea.
The sea is the Mermaid’s true home, but the Mermaid I keep has no sense of security.
It usually plays with fish, shrimp, and turtles, but after I finish my work, it swims under the eaves, gazing at me with longing eyes.
I sat by the window and raised my eyebrows.
“Want to sleep inside?”
The Mermaid blushed and nodded.
I pulled it up.
It also really liked my Magic Stone, lying by the window and gazing up at it.
Its eyes sparkled brightly.
I yawned and went inside to sleep.
They probably don’t know that these sparkling things are the most precious treasures on the entire continent.
Especially the ones I refine.
Priceless, impossible to find in the world.
