After Becoming Everyone's Most Hated, I Was Forced Into a Happy Ending - Chapter 4
Fuck me. The man in front of me was my nemesis.
Chi Su’s official top: Lu Jianshan.
A six-foot-three athlete with more brute strength than he knew what to do with.
My face went numb. I had no idea how to explain this.
Lu Jianshan took my silence for guilt. He seized me by the collar. “Say something, damn it!”
The fabric choked me, and I started coughing. “I—I didn’t…”
I desperately signaled Chi Su with my eyes, begging him to put in a good word.
Instead, Chi Su dropped a bombshell.
“You were going to kiss me, weren’t you?”
Under Lu Jianshan’s furious glare, my vision went dark.
Bro, could you maybe stop fanning the flames?
Before I could explain, Chi Su added, “Do you like me?”
The moment he said that, I knew I was finished.
Lu Jianshan swung a fist at me.
Just before I lost consciousness, I saw shock on Chi Su’s face and panic on Lu Jianshan’s.
“Fuck! Don’t you dare fake an injury!”
I fainted.
Lu Jianshan thought he had scared me unconscious. That wasn’t what happened.
The school doctor said, “You’re a little malnourished.”
I froze.
How could the original owner possibly have been malnourished? My body before transmigration, on the other hand…
An impossible thought flashed through my mind. I jerked my head down and looked at the inside of my left wrist.
There it was: a tiny, inconspicuous black mole.
The original owner’s body had never had one.
Holy shit. So the system could exploit a bug like this?
I lowered my head and let my thoughts run wild. Suddenly, a warm hand settled against my forehead.
I flinched. “What the fuck—”
Then I met Chi Su’s stern gaze and swallowed the curse.
Please. It wasn’t as if I was scared of him.
I slapped his hand away. “I’m fine.”
Chi Su gripped my wrist and refused to let me leave the bed. “You have a low fever. Lie down a while longer.”
Since when had he been this kind?
I threw off the covers and tried to get up anyway. He pressed one hand against my shoulder, and I couldn’t move an inch.
“We haven’t settled our account yet. Where do you think you’re going?”
The distance between us was suddenly much too small. My heart skipped half a beat.
“W-what account?” I stammered.
Chi Su’s smile wasn’t quite a smile. His gaze dropped to the lower half of my face.
“What do you think?”
I clapped both hands over my mouth.
Fuck. He’d taken me seriously?!
Wait—when had he started liking me?
Before I could work it out, he asked lightly, “Didn’t you want to kiss me?”
My eyes went wide, and everything went black again.
That was an excuse I’d made up on the spot!
As his face drew closer, I wanted to grab my phone and sound the alarm.
Mr. and Mrs. Chi…
Your son is gay!
Before I could put the plan into action, Lu Jianshan’s voice came from outside.
“Doctor, I didn’t hit him. I swear I wasn’t bullying anybody.”
With split-second speed, I shoved Chi Su away.
When Lu Jianshan and the school doctor opened the door, Chi Su was sitting on the bed while I stood by the window doing arm stretches.
“Ha… ha. Lovely weather today.”
Seeing I was fine, Lu Jianshan relaxed. “Try blackmailing me with another fake injury. I dare you.”
The doctor smoothed things over. “Come now, you’re all classmates. You should get along.”
I nodded like a chicken pecking at grain.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Chi Su and Lu Jianshan still talking. Remembering the original novel’s four-man romance gave me goose bumps.
That whole stew could simmer without me.
When I finally got home, I planned to catch up on sleep. I’d been studying from dawn until late at night, and life had become harder than my old delivery job.
Well, that was what I got for slipping through the net of nine years of compulsory education.
I sighed heavily and headed for my room, only to collide with someone without warning. Clutching my forehead, I reeled.
“Who the hell walks without looking—
“Oh. Big Brother. Sorry.”
Chi Qi stared at me. His voice was ice-cold.
“Chi Yi, confidential files from the company have been leaked.”
