After I Fell into a Yandere Novel - Chapter 1

I had transmigrated into a yandere novel—as the vicious villainess.

She was a yandere girl hopelessly obsessed with the male lead. When he refused to love her back, she devised a thousand ways to ruin the heroine’s happiness and snuff out her light.

The male lead was no better. Possessive and insecure, he devised a thousand ways to trap the heroine and keep her imprisoned at his side.

The poor heroine must have racked up eight lifetimes’ worth of bad karma to end up tormented by both of them.

As for how I had landed in this godforsaken story world, it was all because I’d been reading the novel and ranting to myself:

“The heroine has it way too rough. If these two yanderes are so determined to ruin somebody’s life, why don’t they just get together and leave her alone…”

Apparently, the story world heard me. The next thing I knew, I was inside it.

It even gave me a mission.

Several translucent lines floated in front of my eyes.

B. Save the Heroine

Well, look at that. Even the missions came in different difficulty settings.

Win over the male lead, my ass.

I gave a cold laugh and chose option B.

Then everything went black.

When I opened my eyes again, both my hands were braced against a sink, and I was staring blankly at myself in the mirror.

The girl reflected there wore a school uniform. Black hair, dark eyes, pale lips, and a tiny mole between her brows.

The villainess’s description from the novel surfaced at once.

“A black beauty mark between her brows and a gentle face—the image of a delicate, fragile white flower, pure and untouched.”

But I knew that beneath this lovely skin lived a warped, shadowy soul. She wasn’t a white flower at all. She was a man-eating plant.

Damn it. I really had become the villainess.

Where was I in the plot? And how was I supposed to save the heroine?

My mind was a mess.

“An Ruo, what are you spacing out for? Class is about to start.” A girl in uniform passed beside me and offered the quiet reminder.

“Oh… right.” I answered, then realized I had no idea which classroom was mine.

I hurried after her and ventured, “Why don’t we… head back together?”

“Sure.” She studied me for a long moment. “An Ruo, you’re acting a little different today.”

Of course I was different. The person inside this skin had been replaced.

“Am I?” I gave a dry laugh. “Come on, we’d better get back.”

We left the restroom together, and a grave problem suddenly occurred to me.

I was about to come face-to-face with the male lead.

Because the villainess sat beside him.

Good God. His deskmate.

I was nowhere near psychologically prepared to face a yandere.

“That dark, clinging gaze, slick as a snake, followed her wherever she went.”

That was how the novel described him watching the heroine in secret. Just thinking about it made my scalp prickle.

Worse, how was I supposed to pick him out in a room full of students?

As it turned out, I’d worried for nothing.

The instant I stepped into the classroom, I somehow knew exactly who he was.

He stood out to an absurd degree, as if the world around him had blurred until he was the only thing left in focus.

His skin held a sickly pallor. He sat slightly hunched, his thin uniform outlining a narrow, lean back, while one hand held a pen and twirled it in a slow, lazy circle.
