Summary
Synopsis I disguised myself as a man and took my brother’s place as an imperial censor for three years. Because I was too timid, I never dared to impeach anyone. The emperor scolded me for being useless and hinted that I should find the regent’s faults and impeach him to death. If he didn’t die, I would. How could I let that happen? To survive, I stuck to him around the clock like a piece of adhesive plaster, and finally discovered a secret chamber hidden in his room. But I never expected that when I excitedly rushed in with my colleagues from the Censorate, I would see the walls covered with portraits of me. And the usually cold and solemn regent, half-undressed, was doing that kind of thing!
