Novel Info

According to my mother’s recollection, if it hadn’t been for a beautiful Immortal stopping her and insisting that her child was about to die, she could have dashed all the way to Jade Spirit Mountain in one breath.

“At least I wouldn’t have missed that Taotie Feast.”

Whenever my mother brought this up, her face was always full of regret and indignation.

Back then, I was only three years old and had never tasted the Taotie Feast. Missing it didn’t feel like a loss, so I had no expression to offer in response.

Whenever this happened, my mother would kindly remind me:

“That Immortal ignored my protests, snatched you away, and pounded your back until you vomited.

“He even jabbed your ribs hard with his fingers, making you cry out loud.

“Ah, it’s all because your mother couldn’t beat him. That annoying Immortal was just too powerful.”

Hearing about the part where I was beaten until I cried, I finally started to feel angry.

So I joined my mother in cursing that Immortal.

My mother nodded, satisfied, and took me up the mountain to hunt for wild game.

After eating our fill, the two of us squatted on the mountain top, picking our teeth.

A white cloud swept past right in front of us.

With a “whoosh,” it knocked me over.

I scrambled up and barely steadied myself, while my mother was already standing with her hands on her hips, shouting:

“Whose careless child is driving a cloud so fast? You hit someone and don’t even apologize?”

Naturally, the culprit gave no response. In a fit of anger, my mother transformed and left.

A Dragon’s roar split the sky, and in the blink of an eye, my mother was gone.

The desolate mountaintop was left with only me, a three-inch-tall child, lost in the wind.

Staring in the direction my mother had disappeared, I let out a deep sigh.

This wasn’t the first time I’d been forgotten.

I just hoped that this time, my mother would remember me a little sooner.
