Gentle as Silk - Chapter 3
Chapter 3
When I kissed the Young Master, he was probably stunned senseless.
I guessed the Soft Fragrance Powder had taken effect.
The Young Master was too weak to push me away, so he could only let me do as I pleased.
Seeing that he was about to speak, I quickly stuffed his mouth with his clothes.
In a panic, I went to tug off his trousers and soothed him, “Young Master, don’t shout! Whatever you do, don’t shout.”
The Young Master shut his eyes, his forehead beaded with sweat. As if I had hurt him, he let out a muffled groan.
As for this sort of thing, I truly had no idea what to do.
I could only rely on instinct and fumble around blindly.
My trembling hand touched that place.
The Young Master gripped my waist, bit down on my neck, and shuddered all over.
I looked down at the mess on my hand and was stunned.
After my coming-of-age ceremony, my elder sister had also vaguely told me a little about matters between men and women.
Holding my hand, she whispered, “Bedchamber matters have to do with a woman’s happiness for the rest of her life. If a man finishes too quickly, then he’s all show and no substance, utterly useless. You must never marry a man like that.”
So the Young Master was actually the useless man my sister had spoken of!
His marriage talks were just around the corner. If word got out, what young lady from a respectable family would still be willing to marry him?
The Young Master opened his eyes and looked at me, his gaze dark and steady.
I felt deeply sympathetic toward him. Alas, such an arrogant, lofty Young Master.
And yet he had this kind of illness.
No doubt, with his pride, he would never go see a doctor for it.
The Young Master lowered his head and unhurriedly wiped my hand clean.
I thought to myself, I had just committed such an offense against my superior, yet he hadn’t flown into a rage.
That showed he was very afraid I would shout it from the rooftops.
I grew pleased with myself.
Look at that. Even as foolish as I was, I could still get a hold over this high-and-mighty Young Master.
I cleared my throat and said, “If you want me to keep this a secret, you’ll have to give me some benefits.”
The Young Master curled his lips in a smile and asked at his leisure, “Then what benefits do you want?”
Oh, there were plenty!
After calculating it over in my heart, I said, “Young Master, you must find me a good marriage!”
He nodded readily and agreed.
Delighted, I probed further, “And find my brother-in-law a good post as well.”
My brother-in-law was born of a concubine, and he was neither skilled in scholarship nor martial arts.
What worried my sister most every day was where to get some silver.
If my brother-in-law had a post, my sister would have much more breathing room.
But this time, the Young Master did not nod. He only lifted a hand and stroked the hair falling over my chest.
His eyes darkened, and his body began to heat up again.
After thinking it over, I immediately said, “If Young Master agrees, then I’ll treat your illness for you!”
Only then did the Young Master say, in a low, hoarse voice, “All right.”
