Chapter 1

I woke up to find myself in a cultivation world.

I am the sect’s only Little Junior Sister, and a Green Tea Girl at that.

And a pretty low-level Green Tea at that.

The sun was blazing like a furnace. Everyone was drenched in sweat at the Training Ground, their throats parched.

I, on the other hand, was dressed quite daintily, carrying a bowl of chilled lotus seed soup.

According to the plot, I was supposed to find the Eldest Senior Brother, the Male Lead, to shower him with fake concern and manipulative sweetness.

But just as I walked over-

The Female Lead split a small hilltop in half with a single sword strike.

I froze.

“Sister, you must be tired after practicing for so long.”

I immediately pivoted, bringing the lotus seed soup to the Female Lead’s lips. With a gentle voice and soft movements, I took out a fragrant little handkerchief to wipe her sweat. “Sister, you’re so amazing.”

The Female Lead also froze.

She was visibly flattered: ?

The lotus seed soup was slightly sweet and ice-cold, feeling incredibly soothing as it went down. The scent of the little handkerchief was elegant and refined, leaving a lasting impression.

Plus, my face was slightly flushed, the picture of bashfulness.

Having been fed the sweet soup and had her sweat wiped by me, the Female Lead watched my blushing face.

For some reason…

Her face, bit by bit, actually turned red as well.

“Junior Sister, you’re so biased,” a Senior Brother teased from the side. “How come we don’t get any lotus seed soup to drink?”

I acted as if I had only just realized something was wrong.

At that moment, my face turned even redder, and my voice became as soft as a mosquito’s buzz. “Senior Brother, I, I…”

“Yeah, yeah!”

The people nearby jeered. “Wipe our sweat too!”

The Female Lead’s expression instantly turned cold.

Her gaze was icy as she turned around and stabbed her sword into the ground.

“Don’t bully her.”

She said sternly, “Little Junior Sister has a weak constitution. How can you have the heart to make her run around in this heat, serving you tea and water?”

Everyone: “Didn’t you just drink her soup?”

The Female Lead pretended not to hear.

She was the pinnacle of martial power here, so she didn’t have to be reasonable.

Thus, the Female Lead said to me warmly, “There’s shade over there. Go rest.”

Then she picked up her sword. “All of you, come at me at once. I’m going to give you some serious training today!”

Being a Green Tea is great; being a Green Tea is wonderful.

Because of me, this little Green Tea, the Female Lead beat the entire sect until they were howling in pain.

I stood in the shade, delicately fanning myself with a small fan, watching my Senior Brothers getting covered in bruises.

Among these Senior Brothers rolling around on the ground, the Male Lead was the only one who remained somewhat decent.

He was the sect’s Eldest Senior Brother. Although his natural talent couldn’t compare to the Female Lead’s extraordinary gifts, he was incredibly hardworking. Thus, he could still fight the Female Lead to a draw.

He could even vaguely suppress her for a few moves.

When masters clash, sword qi fills the field.

An hour later, the Female Lead narrowly lost by three moves.

Finally, the fight was over!

I had long since grown impatient from waiting.

As soon as they sheathed their swords, I immediately threw myself at her like a nesting swallow.

“Sister, you’re so incredible. Are you tired?”

I took out my little handkerchief again, diligently wiping her sweat while smiling sweetly. “Sister, we’re both from Jiangnan, even from the same hometown. Isn’t this a fate ordained by heaven?”

“I’ve had my maid prepare some local dishes from Jiangnan. You must come over to my place for dinner tonight.”

The Female Lead was completely unable to handle my burning concern.

She had just swept the entire field, but now she was caught off guard by my gentle words.

The Female Lead’s beautiful face turned completely red as she stammered, “Me? Oh, I… right, before I joined the sect, I was from Xitang in Jiangnan… Thirteenth Junior Sister, you also…”

But the Male Lead, standing to the side, furrowed his brows.

For some reason, watching this scene play out felt incredibly strange to him.

This odd sense of unease felt stifling, weighing heavily on his heart.

So he spoke up, his voice cold as he addressed me: “Junior Sister, now that you are a cultivator, you should sever your ties to the mortal world and its mundane desires.”

“Focusing on your cultivation is the only righteous path. Do not indulge in worldly sentiment!”

But he didn’t expect what happened next.

The moment those words left his mouth, my eyes instantly welled up with tears.

“I… I’m an only child. My parents missed me, so they sent someone with food from my hometown,” I said timidly, keeping my head low. My eyes were rimmed with red, making me look utterly pitiful. “Eldest Senior Brother, I… I just missed home a little, so I accepted them. I didn’t mean to make you angry…”

The Male Lead: ?

The Male Lead: “Wait, I’m not even angry.”

But everyone else nearby was.

The dozen or so Senior Brothers felt a surge of pity for me. Thinking of their own parents, they couldn’t help but feel a pang of sorrow themselves. Consequently, they looked at the Male Lead with disapproval, feeling that their Eldest Senior Brother was being far too cold-blooded and heartless.

And the Female Lead was the angriest of them all.

Her expression had darkened completely.

“Thirteenth Junior Sister is young and has only just left home. It’s only natural for her to feel sad.”

She turned to the Male Lead and questioned him bluntly: “Weren’t you the same back then? Master even said that when you first arrived, you cried and threw a tantrum for three days straight!”

“Cultivation isn’t about extinguishing human emotion. She’s just a young girl-why are you being so mean to her?”

The Male Lead had never been ostracized like this in his entire life.

He even began to stutter: “I, it’s not that…”

“I just wanted her to focus her attention on her cultivation…”

I cried.

But I was faking it.

“Sister, please don’t let Eldest Senior Brother be unhappy because of me.”

I wiped my tears, sobbing pitifully as I buried my face in the Female Lead’s embrace, clinging to her waist. “Sister, it’s all my fault. I won’t do it again.”

The Male Lead: “Wait, why are you crying…”

“She’s already crying.”

Even the Senior Brothers nearby began to chime in. “Eldest Senior Brother, stop scolding her. Second Senior Sister is right-she’s still young. Don’t be like this, don’t be angry.”

The Male Lead was losing his mind. “No, I… I wasn’t even planning on being angry!”

“What is wrong with all of you today?”

The Male Lead truly felt something was fishy.

He finally snapped out of it, his brow furrowed as he said coldly, “I was merely giving Thirteenth Junior Sister some guidance. Why are you all getting so worked up?”

The Senior Brothers fell silent.

After all, the authority of the Eldest Senior Brother was a real thing.

Seeing this, I could only wipe my tears away, looking timid and frail. “Eldest Senior Brother, I know I was wrong. These Senior Brothers were only looking out for me. If you want to blame someone, blame me. Please don’t be cross with them.”

The Senior Brothers hesitated, their gazes toward the Eldest Senior Brother turning even more unfriendly.

Who wouldn’t miss home when they were far away from their parents and kin?

It was clearly just human nature. The Little Junior Sister was so young-why did he have to blow things out of proportion and drag cultivation into it?

“From now on, Thirteenth Younger Sister will stay with me. I will personally guide her through her arduous cultivation.”

Finally, the Female Lead stepped forward.

Her face was full of displeasure, yet she gently patted my back. “There is no need for you to trouble yourself, Eldest Senior Brother!”
