Chapter 1

During a lull in my schedule, my agent shoved me onto a popular variety show.

But during the game segment, the host suddenly looked down at his cue card and grinned in the creepiest way possible.

“For our next game, we’ll need a little help from some off-site guests. Each of you teachers will contact the on-screen CP from your last drama and ask them this viral internet question: ‘What color are your underwear?’ Let’s see how they react.”

No, seriously-are they sure this is allowed to air in domestic showbiz?!

At this point, I might as well ask him how many centimeters his little brother is!

The audience, however, reacted with wild enthusiasm. Drama fans were already shouting the CP names of certain pairings.

I lifted my gaze and tried to recall the previous co-stars of the other guests.

Unfortunately, the rising actress Cui Ran seemed to overlap with me…

Right then, the host cued her. Though her face was full of reluctance, her tone carried just the right amount of coy charm.

“My partner in my last drama was Teacher Shi Xingxun…”

Before she could finish, another wave of cheers erupted from below the stage.

Shi Xingxun: a top-tier star among serious actors, aloof and sparing with his words.

Aside from promoting his projects and attending endorsement events, he had practically given up every other chance at exposure.

So much so that when fans dug up the fact that he privately liked red bean pies, they were happy enough to beat drums and gongs for a whole week.

Supposedly, his studio received a total of 1.5 tons of red bean pies at the time.

There were simply too many to eat, so in the end they sent them to disaster-stricken areas to avoid wasting them…

Just imagining my good friend privately messaging Shi Xingxun to ask what color underwear he was wearing was enough to get my blood pumping!

Cui Ran waited helplessly for the cheers to die down, then continued, “Although Teacher Shi was only a guest star at the time, we had a very pleasant time working together in our scenes, so that’s why I dare to message him today.”

She smiled and teased herself.

Down below, CP fans who had already shipped them into oblivion couldn’t hold back and started shouting their CP name at the top of their lungs.

Off to the side, I silently raised an eyebrow.

I had originally thought that with Cui Ran messaging Shi Xingxun, I could happily switch to someone else.

But the host just had to come for me too!

You people really are starving. For the sake of clout, you don’t even want to keep your underwear anymore.

I can’t guarantee that whatever Shi Xingxun says won’t get this account banned…

Hopefully, he isn’t stupid enough to miss that this is just a variety show game.

The chat interfaces of all seven guests’ phones were projected onto the big screen one by one, and Cui Ran and I were messaging the same person.

Her note for Shi Xingxun was “Xingxing·Eleven.”

Mine was his stiff full name.

Her chat history had all been kept, though it had been blurred out with a privacy filter.

But the alternating green and white blocks on the upper half of her phone screen still showed that the two of them chatted pretty familiarly.

As for me, because I habitually cleared my chat records, my interface was completely empty.

It made me look like I wasn’t close with Shi Xingxun at all. If anything, it looked like we had a grudge.

At the same time, viewers were pouring into the livestream like crazy.

I stared nervously at the big screen, praying that Shi Xingxun would be too busy to pay me any attention.

Half a minute later, Cui Ran’s phone hadn’t moved at all, but the words “typing…” appeared in my chat box.

I swear, I was done!!!

Men are exactly like this. They never take initiative where they should, and then they get wildly proactive where they absolutely shouldn’t!!!

“Didn’t you see me wearing them this morning?”

Seeing that I didn’t reply, the person on the other end silently added another message.

“They’re the pink-and-blue bear underwear you bought. Don’t worry, I didn’t secretly change out of them.”
