Kill Me, Bury Me - Chapter 1
“Little bunny, little bunny, open up the door—”
What does it feel like to see yourself standing in the moonlight with a knife, head cocked to one side and a smile on your face?
You press yourself against the wall of a cramped storeroom piled high with junk. Crouched in the corner, you clamp a hand over your mouth. Your heart beats wildly.
Not far away, little leather shoes pace back and forth. Their footsteps echo through the abandoned factory.
She is patient. She drags the tip of her knife across a rusted steel plate, humming through the shrill scrape:
“Hurry up and open. I want to come back—”
The crisp footsteps draw closer.
One step. Two.
Without thinking, you hold your breath. Cold sweat trickles down your forehead. You have been crouching so long that your legs are numb and prickling.
But she seems not to notice this room. Without hesitation, she keeps walking toward the dark forest ahead.
You let out a quiet breath.
Once she gets a little farther away, you can push open the door.
And run.
After what feels like forever, the footsteps fade. Hazy moonlight spills into the room.
You swallow and make your choice:
A. Open the door now. (Go to Chapter 2)
B. Wait a little longer. (Go to Chapter 3)
