Chapter 59

Hua Suihe’s wording was way too roundabout. Ye Susheng didn’t get it at all, and she couldn’t read anything from all that exaggerated winking either.

Ye Susheng only had the most important thing on her mind. “Hua Hua, then when can you do it?”

Hua Suihe stuffed the manga back into her hands. “I can start teaching you today, but we have to wait until tonight.”

She stood up. “Anyway, it’s still early. Let’s go check on the veggie patch.”

Ye Susheng flipped the manga open again. After a couple of pages, her desire seemed to evaporate. She took it back to the cardboard box, tossed it in, and went off to do farm work with Hua Hua.

Every stalk of greens in the vegetable garden looked like it had been 3D-modeled-perfect, with not a single weed in sight. They didn’t even really need watering, but Hua Hua still had a great time fussing over them.

When night fell and they’d finished a simple dinner, Hua Hua went to shower alone.

Only when she came back to the room did she remember the phone and accessories she’d bought earlier that day. She took everything out and started fiddling with the SIM.

She hadn’t used a phone in a long time. After buying it, it had just sat there all afternoon.

Hua Suihe helped Ye Susheng insert the SIM card, set up the basic social apps, added herself as a friend, then handed the phone over.

The rest of the time she focused on her own stuff. Ye Susheng sat next to her, distracted and uninterested in the phone.

Being ignored for so long, her mood sank lower and lower. She pressed herself against Hua Suihe’s back, reached around to snatch away her phone, and wrapped both arms tightly around her waist.

“Hua Hua~ it’s been so long since you paid attention to me.” Ye Susheng complained in a wounded tone. “The phone’s bad. Hua Hua loves her phone and doesn’t love me anymore.”

Hua Suihe let out a startled “Eh?” when her phone was grabbed. Then she heard Ye Susheng’s little tirade and suddenly felt like she’d just cheated on her wife right in front of her. She didn’t even dare ask for the phone back.

Behind her, Ye Susheng rested her chin on Hua Hua’s shoulder, tilting her head to rub their cheeks together. “Hua Hua, you said you were going to teach me today, but once you got in bed you just kept playing on your phone and totally ignored me.”

“Hua Hua, stop playing with your phone. Let’s play a game instead.” Ye Susheng moved around to sit facing her. Her red eyes spun like little marbles as she stared at Hua Hua, full of hope.

Meeting her gaze, Hua Suihe grew serious. “I’m going to say this again: tonight you can only lie there. You’re not allowed to touch me.”

“I agree, I agree!” Ye Susheng flipped the quilt open, stripped off her clothes without a second thought, and lay down like it was the most natural thing in the world. There wasn’t a trace of shyness in her eyes-only hunger for Hua Hua.

She didn’t understand any of that one or zero stuff, but she did know how to listen to Hua Suihe.

If she could only lie there, then she’d just lie there.

She’d seen it in the manga too. It just meant letting Hua Hua be the one to do things to her. That much she understood.

Meanwhile, Hua Suihe’s camisole sleep dress was still perfectly in place. Her girlfriend, on the other hand, was already bare as the day she was born.

For a moment, Hua Suihe even wondered if Ye Susheng was actually the battle-hardened one here.

She avoided her gaze, heat creeping up her cheeks.

She didn’t know how long it had been when their first attempt finally ended, caught between Ye Susheng’s cluelessness and Hua Suihe’s complete fatigue.

Hua Suihe collapsed beside Ye Susheng, staring blankly up at the ceiling.

Not being able to let your wife fully enjoy herself sounded like a monumental disgrace.

But she’d gone from nervous at the start, to excited in the middle, to utterly worn out by the end. She really didn’t have any strength left.

Ye Susheng, however, was still not satisfied.

“How is this even possible…”

Hua Suihe turned her head to look at Ye Susheng, who was already sitting up, and asked in stubborn frustration, “Where did it go wrong? Which part did I mess up?”

Ye Susheng’s eyes were shining. She adjusted her breathing, then said excitedly, “Thank you, Hua Hua. I’ve learned it now!”

Only one thought echoed in Hua Suihe’s head: She was so, so unwilling to accept this outcome!

Ye Susheng put her clothes back on. “I’m going to get some water.”

Seeing how full of energy she still was, Hua Suihe’s heart just crumpled. Listlessly, she told her, “Go wash up properly first.”

“Okay, I’ll bring the water back after.”

It was true that Ye Susheng wasn’t satisfied.

But that absolutely wasn’t Hua Hua’s fault.

Her mind had been filled with all the things she wanted to do to Hua Hua. Her body might have been lying there, but her soul definitely wasn’t.

It was her own fault. Hua Suihe was only human. Even with Ye Susheng lowering all her body’s defensive responses, they hadn’t reached that kind of state.

The pleasure Hua Suihe gave her still couldn’t compare to the intense fantasies in her head of herself doing things to Hua Hua.

That didn’t mean she wasn’t happy though.

It felt like completing a grand, solemn ritual. She was genuinely delighted that Hua Hua was willing to touch her.

Hua Hua got tired easily, but if Hua Hua was the one lying still, then she wouldn’t get tired at all.

Ye Susheng came back carrying a basin of water for Hua Suihe to wash her hands, then made her get up to change her sanitary pad before letting her go to sleep.

Over the next two days, Ye Susheng behaved herself. She didn’t pester Hua Suihe to “teach” her anything else. She just spent a lot more time reading. She’d really taken a liking to it. Whenever Hua Suihe was fiddling with her phone to record videos, Ye Susheng would sit quietly off to the side with a book.

A vague frustration settled in Hua Suihe’s heart. In her mind, women only stopped wanting it when they weren’t satisfied with your skills.

Was she really that bad? She’d worked hard for a whole hour, okay.

And she still got this little recognition.

That night, she checked the views and comments on her video account.

It looked like one of the videos had blown up.

Putting her book down, Ye Susheng scooted right up to Hua Suihe’s face. “Hua Hua, the smell of blood on you is completely gone!”

Hua Suihe didn’t respond to that. Instead, she pulled up the comment section and held the phone out for Ye Susheng to see.

“Babe, you’re so popular right now. Everyone in the comments is calling your name.”

She’d only accidentally caught Ye Susheng on camera in one of the farming videos, and that clip alone had rocketed to the top.

So success was really that simple?
