Missing Pet - Chapter 3
Chapter 3
The next day, when I climbed over the wall for my meal, there was a thick stack of books piled up beside the frail Young Master.
I set my food aside for a moment and flipped through them curiously.
“Are these storybooks?”
Liu Yu nodded.
I spent half a quarter-hour flipping through them, finishing over a dozen books in no time. This was because I could only understand the illustrations; I didn’t know a single character!
Seeing that I had lost interest, Liu Yu gestured for me to sit beside him.
“Eat.”
He spoke only those two brief words before resuming his habit of staring at me while I ate.
I had always been a hearty eater. This time was no different; I ate until my cheeks puffed out and my belly was round.
Liu Yu pulled me into his arms and meticulously wiped my mouth clean. Then, he rested a hand on my abdomen, gently rubbing and massaging it.
I sprawled there comfortably. “Young Master, do you know how to read?”
He nodded.
“Then will you read the stories to me?” I looked at him, my eyes shining with anticipation.
Liu Yu opened a book and began to recount the dramatic tales within. His voice was very pleasant to the ear. He carried a faint, lingering scent, the sunlight was warm, and the stories were captivating.
It was so comfortable!
I handed him the books one by one, expectantly waiting for him to read. However, for some reason, the content of the seventh book was a bit… erotic.
Liu Yu’s voice and expression remained unruffled. Yet, listening to it made my whole body feel flushed.
“Scholar Xu and Lady Zheng embraced in the nude, skin pressed against skin, lips locked together, making love…”
“Young Master, stop reading!”
I reached out to cover his mouth and slammed the book shut. “This is stuff only adults should look at. You mustn’t let it corrupt you.”
Liu Yu allowed me to toss the storybook aside. His gaze never wavered, remaining fixed solely on me. With his arms now free, he pulled me closer. He buried his face in the crook of my neck again and began to sniff.
After half a year of climbing the wall, summer arrived.
My little bamboo-pole frame had put on quite a bit of weight, and my face had become fair and rosy with health. However, I started refusing to let Liu Yu hold me.
He stared at me with a gloomy gaze, his brow furrowing slightly.
“It’s too hot, Young Master. I’m already sweating.”
I waved a large cattail leaf fan vigorously. Why hadn’t it felt this hot in previous years?
Liu Yu was clearly displeased. Once I had fanned myself enough to cool down, I still went over to lean against him for a bit, but I quickly pulled away.
When I arrived the next day, there were several large basins of ice in Liu Yu’s room. My eyes widened in awe. How could he get his hands on these blocks of ice when the sun was so scorching?
The Young Master truly lived up to his status as a child of a wealthy family!
With that, I snuggled back into Liu Yu’s arms. Sometimes, when it got too cold, I would even take the initiative to hold him tight. He looked gloomy and cold, but his body was still warm.
I also asked him to continue reading the storybooks to me. However, the moment I heard something inappropriate, I would immediately cover his mouth.
This continued until Liu Yu extended the tip of his tongue and licked my palm.
I sprang out of his arms in an instant. A tingling, numbing sensation spread from my palm through my entire body.
“Young Master, what are you doing?!”
Liu Yu stared at me, visibly annoyed. “Come here.”
I felt that something was wrong. After half a year of companionship, he shouldn’t be as desperate for hugs as he was before. Why had he become increasingly fond of holding me lately?
For almost the entire duration from when I climbed over the wall until I left, I would be sitting on his lap.
I walked over and looked at him seriously. “Young Master, it’s wrong to lick someone’s palm. And we can’t hug for this long. What will you do if I’m not around in the future?”
The dark, gloomy aura surrounding Liu Yu grew even more intense. He stared at me. “Come here.”
