Xuan Ming probably hadn’t imagined his seduction would end like this either.

Under my gaze, he stiffly tugged his robes higher.

“What does Your Highness mean?”

I had been wearing the same black-silk battle robe for hundreds of years.

My sisters regularly complained about my taste.

“Go out in that, and anyone who doesn’t know us will think the dragons of the Western Sea are dirt-poor.”

Now that someone who could make clothes had arrived, it was time for a couple of new outfits.

Xuan Ming left in a daze, holding the merfolk silk I had bestowed on him.

If those merfolk in the Southern Sea learned I was making their crown prince sew clothes by hand, their tails would twist with rage.

The thought cheered me even further.

Unfortunately, I had little time to enjoy it before I sensed a disturbance in the wards of the Utter Abyss.

The hero had come calling.

I rose with my sword and teleported above the abyss.

On the night I awakened, I had sat quietly in the Dragon Palace for a long time.

In this world, my entire existence served the hero.

In life, I was there to show how irresistible he was. In death, I was there to show how deeply he could love.

But I, Ao Wu, had cultivated since childhood, clawing my way to the crest of the wave over tens of thousands of dragons.

Had I done all that just to become someone’s accessory?

I refused.

Even if all the fortune of heaven and earth gathered around him, I wanted nothing more to do with him.

More than I wanted a share of that fortune, I wanted to keep the dragons of the Western Sea out of his troubles.

Below me, the entire ward was shaking. The Utter Abyss, the deepest trench in the Western Sea, had split open in an enormous rift.

Violent currents poured into it, yet a man and a woman at the sea’s eye seemed entirely unaffected.

The hero, Luo Xingyun, and the heroine, Feng Qianqian.

In the original plot, this was my first meeting with Luo Xingyun.

To celebrate Feng Qianqian’s thousandth birthday, he had forcibly taken the Western Sea’s Sea-Calming Pearl, causing the sea to split apart.

The two people who had nearly overturned the entire Western Sea were still making eyes at each other.

“You two certainly look relaxed,” I said coldly.

A flicker of my spiritual sense revealed someone following me a hundred zhang away.

Xuan Ming.

What a diligent merfolk spy. Never missing a chance to pry into the Western Sea’s secrets.

The hero in front, the villain behind.

I withdrew my spiritual sense and looked at the white-robed man drifting toward me.

“I never knew the Western Sea held such a beauty.”

Luo Xingyun’s eyes lit with admiration. “I only wished to borrow this Sea-Calming Pearl. I hope you will understand, my lady.”

Cold light flashed from my sword. “Borrowed or stolen, you can explain it in prison.”

My soul-bound sword suddenly lengthened, unfurling into a whip that shot toward him with a dragon’s cry.

In the original plot, I fell for Luo Xingyun at first sight and held back when I attacked.

This time, I wanted nothing to do with him. My very first strike was meant to kill.

Killing intent surged through the water.

Only then did the hero snap out of his fascination with my looks and retreat in a panic.

Straight into my sword-whip.

“Don’t hurt Brother Yun!”

Feng Qianqian hurled a desperate blast of Samadhi True Fire, trying to stop me.

Unfortunately for her, even a cultivation genius born to the phoenix race only once in ten thousand years was still fighting on my territory here in the sea.

“Know your limits.”

Before she could reach me, the sword energy in the water sent her flying.

Then she was bound together with the hero.

Luo Xingyun took the Sea-Calming Pearl from his storage space.

He looked at me warily, but there was a strange excitement in his eyes too.

“Worthy of the Western Sea’s crown princess.

“I only lost today because I let my guard down.”

Wait. I had just beaten him up. Why was he getting interested?

The urge to conquer in his eyes made my skin crawl.

Ignoring Feng Qianqian’s incredulous stare, I used a magical artifact to throw them both into the Utter Abyss Prison.

Dealing with a protagonist was difficult. Dealing with one who was sick in the head was worse.

At a thought, the artifact bound Xuan Ming a hundred zhang away and dragged him over.

The way to defeat your enemies was to take them one at a time.

My pale-gold sword-whip coiled around his iridescent fish tail and bound his hands before his chest.

“What is Your Highness doing?”

The more he struggled, the tighter it wound, leaving red marks across his fine white skin.

Time to tease my enemy a little and soothe the disgust the other one had left me with.

I crooked a finger. The tip of the sword-whip pointed at his throat.

“What do you think, Crown Prince?”
