My Master Is an Unkillable Strange Boss - Chapter 1
Chapter 1
Late at night, I started punching numbers into my calculator.
This month, I had been caught in the crossfire by players challenging the Final Boss a total of five times.
Three times, they had overturned my stall. Twice, they had trampled my flowers.
But by early the next morning, my little stall would always be restored to its original state, with the fresh flowers arranged neatly in rows, as if nothing had ever happened.
Meanwhile, the roujiamo stall beside mine, which had also been dragged into the players’ mess, was still an absolute wreck.
The roujiamo stall owner looked at me with obvious envy.
“Xiao Hua, you really didn’t hire some strange being to help clean up?”
“You’re so pretty, and you’ve got such a nice personality. Could it be some field-snail strange being with a secret crush on you is quietly tidying up for you?”
I shook my head and gave a shy smile.
“No way.”
I had severe face blindness.
During the worst years, I couldn’t even recognize my own mother. I cried and screamed that I wanted to leave with a strange trafficker instead.
The strange trafficker had never seen a child like me before. She was so terrified that she jumped into her van and fled on the spot.
Because I was decent-looking, plenty of strange beings had given me love letters ever since I was young.
But I could never tell which one was which, and I never replied.
So I didn’t have many close friends. The only one I got along with was my childhood friend, the White Bone Demon.
But she thought going out like that showed too much bone, so some time ago, she got full-body skin graft surgery.
And now I couldn’t recognize my childhood friend either.
Still, when heaven closes a door, it opens a window.
I was exceptionally lucky.
Half a year ago, at the entrance to the manor of the strange boss everyone was fighting tooth and nail over, I picked up an unwanted wild stall and began making a living by selling flowers.
The strange beings at the nearby stalls all warmly called me “Xiao Hua.”
I thought my days would continue peacefully like that.
Until recently.
Someone among the players had offered a huge bounty for the strange boss’s head.
Countless players with no sense of self-preservation swarmed in.

Late at night, after I finished this month’s accounts and took inventory of the remaining floral materials,
I was just about to pull down the rolling shutter and go home.
A hand held the shutter firmly in place.
“Wait!”
The rolling shutter rose inch by inch, revealing a man’s well-tailored trench coat, followed by his slightly pale face with sharp brows and bright, striking eyes.
“Can I still order flowers?”
The man’s voice was gentle.
“I’d like to order a bouquet for the strange being I like.”
For a moment, that face made me lose focus.
“Of course.”
“What kind of flowers would you like to give her? Eyeball Flower, or Finger Flower? Heart Flower has been selling pretty well lately too, but there haven’t been many players around, so the price of Heart Flower has gone up quite a bit.”
“What about you?”
Under the warm yellow light, the tips of the man’s ears were so red they looked as if they might drip blood.
“What kind of flowers do you like?”
Compared with the Eyeball Flower and Heart Flower that sold so well in the Strange World,
I still preferred the flower seeds brought in by players.
I walked into the flower storage room and carried out an armful of Yellow Rose that no one ever wanted.
“I really like Yellow Rose.”
The man looked thoughtful.
“Then Yellow Rose it is. I think she’ll like it too.”
Before leaving, the man held a large bouquet of Yellow Rose and asked,
“Can I come order flowers again tomorrow?”
Only a fool would turn down money.
I nodded.
“Of course.”
The man left.
Only when his back was turned did I notice he had left a trail of bloody footprints behind him, as if he had been badly injured.
No wonder his face was so pale.
He was hurt that badly, yet he still hadn’t forgotten to buy flowers for the strange being he liked?
I didn’t pay much attention to that little incident.
The next day, I was still the first to arrive and open my stall.
Quite a few players were wandering around the manor entrance.
I recognized the insignia on their clothes at a glance.
It was a black scythe.
This group had come to kill the boss again.
