Liang Que is my husband and the father of my son.

While he was out stocking up on supplies, he got careless and was bitten by a zombie.

Despite that, he still managed to haul a pickup truck full of food back for the two of us.

Then, he locked himself in the basement.

With tears streaming down his face, he engaged two locks from the inside. With tears streaming down mine, I added three more from the outside.

As I was locking up, Liang Xiaodou wailed through the small iron window, “Mommy, don’t lock Daddy in the dark room! I was the one who used your towel to wipe my feet, not Daddy!”

My brain went numb.

He has a busy job, and usually, by the time he gets home from overtime, I’m already asleep with Liang Xiaodou.

But after washing up, he always gives both me and Liang Xiaodou a kiss before going to bed.

Sometimes, when Liang Xiaodou is fast asleep, those kisses get… a little bit intense.
