Chapter 1

I was drunk.

I sat at the entrance of the bar, smoking a cigarette to sober up.

A peddler approached me timidly, lowering his voice. “Miss, you look like you’re under a lot of pressure. Do you need to vent?”

“I have a Venting Beastman who can help you relieve some stress.”

I waved away the swirling smoke. “What?”

The peddler looked around warily. After confirming no one was watching, he beckoned toward the distance, calling the Beastman over.

It was a Wolf-Dog Beastman, tall with broad shoulders and a narrow waist.

When he stood still, he blocked the light from the bar, casting a long shadow over me.

Before I could react, the peddler grabbed the crude collar around the man’s neck and yanked him down to one knee.

He removed a rusty muzzle.

Then, he pulled the man’s hair back, forcing his head up to reveal his full face.

Fair skin.

A high bridge on his nose.

Thin lips pressed tightly together.

There were bruises on his brow bone and the corner of his mouth.

His narrow eyes stared at me fixedly, like a wild animal.

The peddler slapped his face hard. “Look, Miss. With a face like this, wouldn’t it feel great to hit him?”

I swallowed hard, feeling a flicker of interest.

He was exactly my type.

Besides, the doctor said I had an endocrine imbalance and really needed to relieve some stress.

But… I already had a Wolf-Dog Beastman at home.

Su Yan would probably mind.

Seeing my hesitation, the peddler kicked the Beastman. “Get up. Show the lady your muscles.”

The Beastman stood up slowly.

With chains wrapped around his body, he could only use one hand to pull off his black T-shirt, instantly revealing lean, pale muscle lines.

However, his body was covered in scars and purple bruises.

The peddler quickly put the muzzle back on him and patted his powerful arm muscles.

“Look, Miss. He has great stamina and incredible recovery speed.”

“Two thousand yuan for two hours of venting. You can do whatever you want to vent your frustrations. As long as you don’t slit his throat and bleed him out, he’ll recover.”

“Slit his throat and bleed him out?” I was startled.

Have people’s kinks become this twisted nowadays?

Terrifying.

Whatever. The one at home won’t let me touch him anyway.

If this one is cheap, I might as well buy an obedient one to take back.

I stood up, asking with a hint of drunken daze, “How much to buy him outright?”

“Hehe, that won’t be cheap.” The peddler rubbed his hands together. “He’s the best stock we have.”

“Give me a price.”

“Then I’ll give you a lucky number: 58,888.”

I paused.

My Service Wolf-Dog Beastman, Su Yan, was a gift from my parents that cost them millions.

This one was actually so cheap.

“Too expensive?”

“Tell you what, I’ll drop the change. Fifty-eight thousand.”

In the end, I bought Li Chen for fifty thousand yuan.

I didn’t really want to go home.

So, I took him to a hotel.

Before we left, the peddler repeatedly warned me.

Until he is completely tamed, never take off his muzzle.

It’s best not to remove the chains either.

In the hotel suite.

Li Chen stood at the entrance with his eyes downcast, motionless.

Like a silent stone statue, he waited quietly for his fate to descend.

I came out of the shower wrapped in a bath towel, not daring to remove his shackles.

“You should go take a shower too.”

He stared at me for a few seconds before turning to walk into the bathroom.

The sound of splashing water began.

A few minutes later.

I knocked on the door. “I left my phone inside.”

He hadn’t locked it.

So, the door swung open.

Li Chen froze with his back to me.

His tall, upright body was completely bare.

His skin was a bloodless white, making the scars look even more shocking.

Water flowed down over the rusty chains; dark grime mixed with bloodstains from his forearms, streaming down his spine and waist.

Finally, it gathered at his calves and slowly drained away.

His tail hung low, trembling slightly.

The fur wasn’t smooth and shiny like Su Yan’s; it had a dry, dull texture.

He looked both fragile and wild.

Lust clouded my mind.

I stepped closer and hugged him from behind, lightly kissing a bruise on his back.

Li Chen’s entire body shuddered. He asked stiffly, “What are you doing?”
This was the first time I had heard his voice.

It was deep, raspy, and magnetic.

“Venting,” I answered him.

His hands, hanging at his sides, clenched into tight fists.

“Not like…”

“Hmm?”

A few muffled groans escaped him. “That’s not how you’re supposed to vent.”

“I don’t have any experience. Just bear with me.”

I pushed him down onto the bed and kissed every single one of his scars with care.

He wore a muzzle, his hands and feet bound by iron chains, and he obeyed my movements submissively.

His body remained tense throughout, as if he didn’t know how to react.

At the critical moment, he suddenly reached out and pinned my waist.

“Are you sure?”

“Hmm?”

He looked at me, his voice growing even more hoarse. “I’m just a low-grade Beastman.”

My answer was an impatient movement.

He groaned and closed his eyes, his long eyelashes trembling slightly.

Early morning.

Sunlight spilled through the floor-to-ceiling windows onto our skin, warm and soft.

With my cheek pressed against the firm muscles of Li Chen’s arm, I fished my phone out from under the pillow and saw a WeChat message from my best friend.

“Where did you go? Did my autistic bestie sneak back home by herself again?”

I typed back:

“No, I bought a new Vent-type Wolf-dog Beastman. I was busy venting last night.”

Bestie: [?]

“Qin Zhao, how could you be that kind of person!?”

“I know the Beastman you have at home is disobedient and makes you feel wronged, but you can’t just find a Vent Dog to beat up.”

“You’re too soft-hearted to hit your prize-winning show dog at home, so you went out to hit a Vent Dog?”

“If you weren’t my friend, I’d call the police right now. I really misjudged you!”

I was stunned by her scolding.

“No, I didn’t hit him. How could I ever hit a puppy?”

My friend paused for a few seconds.

“Then how did you… vent?”

“Exactly how you’re thinking… venting.”

We both fell silent.

My friend proceeded to give me a crash course:

Venting Beastmen were part of an illegal industry.

They would kidnap young Beastmen or purchase low-grade, inferior ones at low prices.

Then, through abuse, they would screen for those with superior physical fitness and recovery abilities to serve as Vent-type Wolf-dogs.

Once selected, some would become living punching bags for humans.

They were used for people to beat and torture to relieve stress.

Others would end up in an Underground Colosseum to fight in life-or-death matches.

While these Beastmen were pitiable, they were notoriously wild and difficult to tame.

After being rescued by official agencies, they were opened up for free adoption.

Those left unclaimed would be sent for “neutralization.”

“If you regret it, I know where he lives.”

A deep voice came from behind me.

Startled, I hurriedly darkened my phone screen and rolled over to meet Li Chen’s dim eyes.

He lowered his gaze, avoiding my eyes.

“But he belongs to an organization. He likely won’t be willing to give your money back.”

“While he’s alone, I might be able to…”

“I don’t regret it,” I interrupted him. “As long as you’re obedient.”

“Listen only to me.”

“Okay,” he whispered in agreement.

His expression didn’t change, but his ears twitched.

There were several faint scars on those furry ears.

I couldn’t help but reach out, wanting to touch his beast ears.

His ears immediately perked back in alert, and he flinched away.

I withdrew my hand, feeling a bit disappointed.

Why wouldn’t this one let me touch them either?

“Sorry, force of habit.”

He tried to slowly relax his ears and lowered his head slightly. “You can touch them now.”

“If you still want to,” he added.

I didn’t stand on ceremony.

I flipped over to straddle his waist, resting my hands on his chest muscles while I freely kneaded his ears.

They were silver-white, soft, and warm.

Li Chen’s breathing grew heavier and heavier, and his body became increasingly hot.

He tilted his head back slightly, the corners of his narrow eyes flushing red, staring at me without blinking once.

I swallowed hard.

“Can I vent one more time?”
