Princess Strategy - Chapter 3
Chapter 3
After night fell, Su Zhenliu was washed clean and sent to my room.
He removed his outer robe and took off the jade crown binding his hair. His inky-black hair spilled down like flowing water, leaving him dressed only in snow-white inner robes.
After entering the room, the first thing he did was open the window.
Moonlight poured in, making his skin look even more like polished jade, his features as beautiful as a painting.
[I can’t take this anymore. Is this guy doing a photo shoot? He even set up his own lighting.]
[Su Zhenliu be like: So what if I’m a little scheming?]
He looked at me, the corners of his lips curving faintly.
When our eyes met, I seemed to hear the clear, distant sound of a flute.
Could it be that I really was moved?
This was ancient times. Who was playing BGM?
I walked closer, little by little-then went around him and looked out the window.
Two twin-tailed dowry maids were crouching by the wall, playing flutes.
The two little feelers on their heads swayed rustlingly along with their movements.
[Can they change their hairstyle? I’m really afraid the second female lead will mistake them for cockroaches and swat them.]
I was somewhat speechless and slammed the window shut.
But when I saw Su Zhenliu’s gentle, innocent expression, my voice unconsciously softened again.
“You’re willing to put thought into this for me. Naturally, that’s a good thing.”
I took Su Zhenliu’s hand and began baring my heart to him.
“The moon is truly big tonight.”
“Oh, right. That place of yours…”
The tips of his ears flushed red, his lashes trembling faintly.
His eyes were like a pool of autumn water, shimmering with ripples of light.
“Your Highness, would you like to try?”
Somehow, his voice had gone a little hoarse, as if it carried a hook.
[Try it! Once you start trying, you’ll go wild, lose yourself, and lose your life!]
The bullet comments were very conspicuous.
Afraid they would see, I slowly pulled my hand back.
“Forget it.”
“Definitely next time.”
Su Zhenliu lowered his eyes.
“Yes.”
[Got played.]
[It’s one thing to toy with the villain, but why are you toying with me too?]
[It’s over. The villain’s unhappy now. The male lead is in trouble again.]
Su Zhenliu and I slept in our clothes.
He was tall and took up the spot where my plush doll normally went.
With nothing to hug, I felt terribly uncomfortable. Without realizing it, I lifted my hand and grabbed his arm.
He lowered his head.
“Your Highness?”
I rolled into his arms and hugged him tightly, draping my leg over his lean, powerful waist.
My whole body clung to him.
In the darkness of night,
his body went slightly stiff, and he did not move at all.
My hand hooked around the back of his neck.
I noticed that wherever our skin touched, it was faintly warm.
I adjusted my position and buried my face in his collar, rubbing against it.
Now it was comfortable.
I could sleep.
Before falling asleep, I even drowsily saw the bullet comments.
[No, like, you’re just going to fall asleep like that?]
[Every day, you’re finding new ways to mess with this big villain.]
I narrowed my eyes.
I hadn’t fallen asleep.
Something was pressing against my waist, hard enough to be uncomfortable.
I hadn’t slept well in a long time, and a little displeased, I dragged out my words.
“Su Zhenliu…”
“What is this…”
He held my hand down, his voice somewhat hoarse and cramped.
“Your Highness.”
“Wait.”
He shifted positions and held me a different way, then took out a token and placed it beside the pillow.
“It’s a command token.”
Still half-asleep, I glanced at it casually.
Oh.
It really was a command token.
