Chapter 70

Yan Jinge had been sitting in the same spot the entire time with his drink right beside him, so he knew for a fact that no one had approached him. That meant the only possibility was…

The drink had been spiked before it even came out of the machine.

Who could be so wicked? They wouldn’t even spare a school vending machine? Were they trying to harm the youth of the nation? How dark was their psyche?

Yan Jinge felt panicked and short of breath, his condition worsening. His breathing grew heavy and his chest heaved. He looked around the pool area, intending to find a teacher to ask for leave, call an ambulance, and report the incident to the police. However, before he could act, Bai Cheng suddenly grabbed his hand.

Yan Jinge: “?”

It was strange; the moment Bai Cheng grabbed his hand, his body temperature showed signs of dropping, as if something had been soothed.

But that feeling lasted only a second. In the next moment, Yan Jinge felt even more uncomfortable.

…He wanted to embrace Bai Cheng. He wanted more.

Fuck.

This drug…

Beside him, Bai Cheng frowned slightly.

The fragrance on Yan Jinge was very faint, but it had already begun to slowly diffuse into the surroundings. For Bai Cheng, sitting right next to him, the scent almost completely enveloped him.

Bai Cheng’s eyes were slightly bloodshot. He already liked Yan Jinge, and now, smelling Yan Jinge’s Pheromone, his instincts were immediately stirred into a restless state.

Realizing what was happening, Bai Cheng stood up abruptly and said to Ying Cheng, who was still in the pool, “Don’t let anyone into the locker room.” After a pause, he added, “Jinge will be fine.”

With that, he hauled Yan Jinge up from the poolside and strode toward the locker room.

Yan Jinge’s brain was slowing down.

He felt dazed, passively following Bai Cheng away.

Nearby, the others who hadn’t heard Bai Cheng’s words were stunned by the scene.

“What happened? What’s going on?”

“…I don’t know, but Bai Cheng looked pretty pissed. It looked like he was about to start a fight. No way, right?”

“Definitely not. Bai Cheng is an Alpha, after all; he wouldn’t lay a hand on an Omega. Besides, with his physique, if he really fought Yan Jinge, wouldn’t he take out Jinge in one punch? He’d end up in the hospital… hahaha.” Seeing that no one joined in his laughter, the speaker coughed awkwardly and whispered, “Right?”

“What do you know? What if?”

“…Actually, there were leaks on the school forum before saying that Bai Cheng doesn’t care about the rules and would even hit an Omega…”

“Shit, for real? Let’s go check it out.”

A group of students exchanged looks and moved toward the locker room in unison, only to find that the door had been locked!

“Oh no!”

“Bai Cheng! Open the door first! If there’s a problem, let’s talk about it openly. Don’t get violent!”

“Should we just call the coach or the manager to open the locker room door? Just in case something happens…”

As they were talking, Ying Cheng rushed over. He had just come out of the water and was dripping wet. He blocked their path and said with a smile, “Friends, you’re overthinking this. Given the situation posted in our group chat earlier, how could Bai Cheng possibly hit Yan Jinge? Jinge and I are best friends; if Bai Cheng really had those tendencies, I’d be the first one to step up and stop him!”

The crowd looked at each other.

It was true.

Everyone in the class knew about the relationship between Yan Jinge and Ying Cheng. It was unlikely Bai Cheng would hit his own friend.

Moreover, in the classroom on a daily basis, Bai Cheng was actually very obedient toward Yan Jinge.

If he were going to get angry, he would have done so long ago. He wouldn’t have waited until now.

“Maybe they just have some private things to say? Anyway, don’t crowd around here. Go back. I’ll stay here and keep watch, so don’t worry.”

Just as Ying Cheng finished speaking, the swimming coach walked over.

He looked at the group and said curiously, “What are you all doing gathered here?”

“Nothing, nothing.” Students generally didn’t want to say much to teachers; they nudged each other and quickly dispersed.

Ying Cheng turned toward the locked locker room, his brow furrowing.

When Bai Cheng had pulled Yan Jinge away, Ying Cheng had happened to swim to the edge. Even as a Beta, he had smelled a faint fragrance.

He had only occasionally smelled this scent on Yan Jinge before, but it was always very light. It wasn’t nearly as strong as it was today-though ‘strong’ was relative. If someone who had never smelled Yan Jinge’s Pheromone before encountered it, they might just think it was some perfume he had applied.
Ying Cheng suspected that something had gone wrong with Yan Jinge’s Inhibitor.

Bai Cheng must have taken Yan Jinge into the locker room to handle the situation.

Ying Cheng was worried about Yan Jinge, but hearing Bai Cheng say that nothing would happen made him feel a strange sense of trust. Pushing down his anxiety, he asked the coach for leave and simply stood guard outside the locker room door.

***

Yan Jinge was being dragged along, his every breath coming out hot.

His whole body felt weak. At first, he could still walk on his own, but gradually, he felt his body sinking lower and lower. His knuckles turned white from gripping Bai Cheng’s hand.

Bai Cheng paused for a moment.

He turned around, leaned down, and scooped Yan Jinge up into his arms.

Yan Jinge furrowed his brows and reached out to wrap his arms around Bai Cheng’s neck, whispering, “…Hot.”

“It won’t be hot for long,” Bai Cheng said. He paused, then added, “Be good.”

Yan Jinge thought to himself, *What kind of plot is this? Am I about to be… done like this and that by a scumbag? And at school, no less… Damn, what kind of R-rated instance is this?*

It was unscientific.

Besides, according to Ying Cheng, he was still a few days away from coming of age.

He needed to report this.

Yan Jinge instinctively tried to open the game panel, but a quick glance showed it was still blank-the system hadn’t returned yet, let alone a report button.

Furthermore, he couldn’t help but feel that the scene he wanted to report felt strangely familiar.

It seemed the game had been a bastard for more than just a day or two.

Bai Cheng’s abs weren’t just for show. He carried Yan Jinge the whole way, walking quickly into the locker room. Finding the nearest stall, he pushed the other man inside.

After stepping out for a brief moment, Bai Cheng returned quickly.

The two of them were pressed close together. Yan Jinge relied entirely on Bai Cheng to keep from sliding straight to the floor.

The scent on his body was growing heavier. Combined with the cramped space of the stall, the floral fragrance of his Pheromones instantly mingled with the agarwood scent on Bai Cheng. Together, they formed an indescribable aroma that made one feel even more intoxicated.

…It smelled so good.

So good it was almost stifling.

But how could a human body emit such a fragrance?

What kind of drug was this? It was so potent he was starting to hallucinate.

Yan Jinge reached out to tug at his own collar.

However, Bai Cheng flipped him around and whispered, “Endure it. I’ll tell you exactly what’s going on in a moment.”

Yan Jinge couldn’t quite hear what Bai Cheng was saying; he only felt a searing heat on the back of his neck.

Bai Cheng’s breath fanned over the area. What was once just an ordinary patch of skin had now become exceptionally sensitive. Desire and fear coexisted; he both wanted Bai Cheng to get closer, even closer, and wanted Bai Cheng to leave quickly, to not stay in the same space as him, lest things spiral out of control.

…What was happening?

While Yan Jinge was lost in confusion, Bai Cheng leaned in, the tip of his tongue brushing heavily over that spot.

“Ngh.”

Yan Jinge’s breathing suddenly quickened.

In an instant, a numbing sensation swept through his entire body. Yan Jinge dug his nails into his palms. His body, which was already unsteady, nearly collapsed to the floor.

“You… don’t,” he said, a hint of a sob in his voice.

In that moment, Bai Cheng thought of everything he and Yan Jinge had done in the previous world.

His eyes grew darker, filled to the brim with longing. The Pheromones in his body were stirred up; he almost wanted to disregard everything and mark Yan Jinge right here.

But he couldn’t.

Using the last of his remaining sanity, Bai Cheng waited until the gland on the back of Yan Jinge’s neck softened, then immediately sank his sharp teeth into it.

Pheromones were slowly injected into Yan Jinge’s body.

The scents of the two Pheromones fused even deeper.

After an unknown amount of time, Yan Jinge suddenly took a sharp breath. He finally felt like he had come back to life, and his strength was slowly returning. Bai Cheng, standing before him, used his thumb to gently stroke Yan Jinge’s lips.

His pupils were dark and heavy, his mouth slightly pursed.

Yan Jinge looked up at Bai Cheng and was instantly struck by the feeling of being stared down by a venomous snake. He froze.

At the same time, Bai Cheng increased the pressure of his thumb, rubbing it against Yan Jinge’s lips. Seeing Yan Jinge flinch in pain and tilt his head back as if to hide, Bai Cheng said nonchalantly, “Jinge, this is an ABO world.”

Yan Jinge: “?”

…A what world?
