Chapter 236

Sainthos.

Butterfly Valley.

When Beili returned to Constance Castle, Madam Constance was sitting in the garden, surrounded by several ladies from other noble families.

Under the warm sunlight, they wore the typical hypocritical smiles of the nobility, chatting cheerfully while leisurely enjoying afternoon tea.

A butterfly fluttered down to the ground.

In the blink of an eye, it transformed into a young girl with gray hair, red eyes, and a black dress.

“Eldest Young Lady.”

Sharp-eyed servants stopped their work and bowed respectfully to her.

“Go get my mother. Tell her I have urgent business with her.”

Beili tossed the instruction over her shoulder and strode toward her room.

She packed a few more useful items into her Spatial Bracelet, then pulled out the necklace Ashera had given her.

She placed the fine black chain, along with the Black Bone Scythe pendant that had finished receiving the transfer of Mana, into a drawer.

The Black Bone Scythe, currently shrunk into the shape of a pendant, pulsed with confusion at her actions.

But Beili did not respond to it.

She gently closed the drawer, turned around, and headed toward Madam Constance’s room.

“Go have the coachman get ready.”

Hearing her command, a servant nodded in response and hurried away.

…

A short while after the girl entered the room, Madam Constance walked in, smiling and fluttering her feather fan.

“How was your time with the Second Prince, Luoluo? Why didn’t you send word ahead that you were coming back?”

Before the woman even arrived, her voice, filled with surprise and joy, preceded her.

“I heard from the servants that you flew into the castle after a Beast Transformation. Did the Second Prince not escort you back? Oh… Luoluo, what are you doing?”

As soon as Madam Constance entered the room, she saw Bartholomew throwing open all the wardrobes and drawers.

A small mountain of gold coins was piled on the bed.

“Mother-”

The girl walked quickly to her, grabbed her arm, and asked, “Which one is your Spatial Artifact?”

Madam Constance was dazed by Bartholomew’s behavior and question, but she still raised her hand and pointed to an exquisitely crafted small handbag on the table.

“What’s wrong, Luoluo?”

Beili didn’t have time to answer. She grabbed the handbag first, then picked out several relatively simple dresses from the woman’s wardrobe-selecting styles for spring, summer, autumn, and winter-and tossed them one by one into the Spatial Artifact handbag.

Next, she went to the vanity, grabbed some skincare products that looked frequently used, and threw them into the Spatial Artifact handbag as well.

Then, she walked back to the bed, put half of the gold coins into Madam Constance’s Spatial Artifact handbag, and stored the other half in her own Spatial Bracelet.

Finally, she stuffed the handbag into Madam Constance’s hands.

After finishing the lightning-fast packing, Beili grabbed Madam Constance’s hand and pulled her out of the room and onto the carriage.

“Oh-such a rush! Where are we going?”

Madam Constance asked the whole way as she was pushed onto the carriage by Bartholomew.

Once she was settled in her seat, she thought for a moment, and her expression turned solemn. “Did something happen, Luoluo? If you’ve caused some trouble, just tell Mother. I’ll help you resolve it.”

Hearing the woman’s worried tone, Beili finished giving instructions to the coachman before turning back to offer her a smile.

“It’s nothing, Mother. Didn’t you always want to take me on a trip?”

Beili sat down beside the woman and took her arm, her gem-like, deep red eyes sparkling with light.

“Let’s set off right now and spend some time traveling in the Tilisha Kingdom.”

Just as the words left her mouth, the coachman cracked his whip.

With a sharp *crack*, the wheels began to roll, and the carriage departed from Constance Castle.

…

Tilisha.

On the borders of the Tilisha Kingdom lay a vast stretch of rolling golden dunes.

Under the scorching sun, they shimmered with a faint light, more rugged than the glint of gold.
Upon entering the town, they were greeted by streets lined with neat rows of palm trees and clusters of white houses.

Madam Constance had been surprisingly quick to accept her sudden invitation for a trip.

While Beili was still worrying about whether she would adjust to the new environment, the woman was already wide-eyed and radiant, embarking on a massive shopping spree throughout the town.

Intricately woven headscarves with complex patterns, beautiful lightweight gossamer dresses, dazzling jewelry, and all sorts of rich, heady perfumes…

This place was simply paradise.

Madam Constance marveled at this more than once.

…

After stepping into the Tilisha Kingdom, the two of them also changed into the local attire.

The dresses in the Tilisha Kingdom leaned toward an Egyptian style, featuring short bodices for tops and light, airy gauze skirts below.

They wore multiple waist chains crafted from gold around their hips, and their accessories were likewise made of gold, inlaid with various colored gemstones.

The young maidens of Tilisha also loved to weave small gold rings into their hair when braiding it.

The dresses Beili had hurriedly stuffed into her Spatial Artifact earlier were almost never taken out again.

The fabrics of the clothes they had brought were too thick, making them completely unsuitable for the climate.

The Tilisha Kingdom was nothing like Sainthos, with its eternal spring-like sun, nor was it like the Nauze Kingdom with its constant drizzling rain.

No matter which town you were in within the Tilisha Kingdom, it was incredibly hot.

Even the breeze that blew during the day carried a wave of heat.

The sun scorched the air until it shimmered with wavy distortions.

Having changed into the local clothing, they blended in quickly, stopping and starting along their journey to sample the local delicacies.

Before they knew it, four days had passed-or perhaps six.

Beili could no longer remember clearly.

She only felt the influence of the surrounding atmosphere and the sound of Madam Constance’s laughter, which allowed her tightened nerves to gradually relax.

Then, she remembered.

Throughout the journey, Madam Constance had been complaining that the pace of their travels was too fast.

Before she could properly appreciate the scenery or browse the shops, they would immediately move on to the next town.

This… was indeed the case.

Realizing they had drifted through two or three towns since arriving in the Tilisha Kingdom without even knowing their names, Beili began to reflect on her actions.

So, upon arriving at yet another new town, she decided to slow down.

First, she would find an experienced guide.

“Miss, according to my meticulously planned route and schedule, the two of you will certainly be able to enjoy yourselves to the fullest.”

The guide held a map, spreading it out in his hands.

Circles were drawn on it, with detailed notes on places to visit and potential issues they might encounter.

Beili looked down with her red eyes, communicating the finer details with the guide.

Suddenly.

She heard a familiar voice.

It took Beili two seconds to react-that voice sounded like the Duke’s.

Her breath hitched, and her heart rate suddenly spiked.

Looking back, she saw Madam Constance holding a Communication Orb in her hand.

She was on a call with the Duke.

Beili felt her thoughts tighten once more, her heart leaping into her throat.

By the time she realized what she was doing, she had already raised her hand.

A single Morpho Butterfly flew out from her fingertips.

Like an arrow released from a fully drawn bow, it struck and shattered the Communication Orb in Madam Constance’s hand.

“Mother-”

She walked over quickly.

Staring at the other woman with a cold, solemn expression, her voice rose unconsciously as she questioned her, “What are you doing? Why did you make a call?”

Then, she saw the woman looking at the shattered pieces of the Communication Orb on the ground, her expression one of utter shock.

When the woman looked up at her again, her eyes were dazed and filled with a hint of confusion.

It was as if she were saying: ‘Oh… how could my Luoluo act like this?’
