The Gluttonous Girl's Vine Husband - Chapter 2
Chapter 2
I stood up in a hurry and knocked on the door.
“Wenzhou, what happened?”
“If you can’t stop the nosebleed, maybe we should go to the hospital?”
A muffled, low voice drifted out.
“I’m fine…”
A moment later, the door opened. Water droplets still clung to his eyelashes, and his steps were unsteady. His cheeks, however, were flushed a faint red-he didn’t look like someone who had lost too much blood.
“It’s stopped.”
I breathed a sigh of relief.
I had intended for things to get passionate, but I hadn’t expected him to react like this.
Health was more important.
I decided I wouldn’t wear that outfit again.
Snapping back to reality, I suddenly pointed toward the corner of the bathroom door. “Wenzhou, did you notice? A vine actually got into the house!”
His eyes flickered, avoiding mine.
“I… I just bought it today. It grows a bit fast…”
“Wait, I’ll prune it right away.”
I felt a jolt of alarm.
“It grew out of the bathroom? Then my bathtub-”
I immediately pushed the door open.
When I saw the scene before me, my expression shifted instantly.
“How are there so many…”
Everything in sight was green.
It wasn’t just the bathtub; the walls were also densely covered in vines!
If it were just a single plant, you could call it scenery. But with the entire space crawling with them, it was terrifying. It felt as if I had stepped out of a modern building and straight into a tropical rainforest.
It was eerie.
I scrambled out of the bathroom, my mind filled with the image of those interlacing leaves clinging to the walls. It was enough to trigger a bout of trypophobia.
“Where did you get such a strange species of plant? It made the bathroom so filthy in just one day!”
“Hurry up and clear it out!”
Any lingering romantic thoughts had completely vanished. I rubbed the goosebumps on my arms and grabbed my pillow to head next door.
“I’m sleeping in the guest room tonight.”
“Don’t bring home such creepy things ever again!”
The man stared at me blankly, his face turning deathly pale.
It took a long time before he finally lowered his head, a flash of stinging pain overflowing from his eyes.
“…Okay. I’ll clean it up.”
The lush greenery covering the walls withered completely the moment I turned to leave.
