Summary
Tian Dani’s family can barely feed itself when a mountain hunter asks for her hand. His promise is simple: she will never go hungry, and every coin he earns will be hers to manage. A wild boar seals the match. Then, almost before the wedding is over, the couple must set up a household of their own with Shi Ding’s aging grandparents. There is little money, much to mend, and no shortage of opinions across the stream. Between steaming buns, mountain game, and a bright idea involving pears, Dani discovers what it means to build a good life together.
