Summary
In her first life, Su Yunniang tried to save her fishmonger fiancé from the chancellor’s suspicious embrace. He repaid her with murder. Reborn, she happily delivers him to his supposed father—and collects the reward. She knows they want a human ingredient for a life-swapping ritual, not a son. But her escape ends when another powerful family claims her as its missing daughter. Their real daughter is ill, and Yunniang is the cure they intend to use up. Trapped among affectionate smiles and poisoned kindness, she must turn her borrowed identity into a weapon before her second life is stolen too.
