Summary
The first time Zhaodi meets her husband, they are lying in the same coffin. Death was supposed to free her from a miserable life, but a ghost marriage has tied her to an arrogant dragon prince who wants nothing more than to go home. Their red thread refuses to break, and reincarnation is sixty years away. Renamed Xiaoxiao, she sets about surviving an afterlife that still demands money, shelter, and far too much patience. Then the prince starts bringing her sweets—and wanting more than a marriage neither of them chose. But mortals forget, immortals remember, and Heaven has rules of its own.
