Chapter 1

What are they babbling about?

I frowned and lowered my eyes.

The youth beneath me had ink-black hair like satin, half-covering his disheveled clothes. His lips were red, his teeth white, and a strip of white silk covered his eyes, revealing only a thin, cold, pale jawline.

His slender, lonely wrist bones were bound with red silk. Long ribbons wound around his elegant, jade-like fingers, while the veins on the back of his hands bulged in a provocative curve.

I couldn’t resist and interlaced my fingers with his.

Shen Yuqing’s cheeks were flushed crimson. In a clear yet hoarse, pleasant voice, he said with restraint, “Master… you mustn’t.”

My disciple is so pure.

Let me steal a kiss first.

Just as I was about to press my lips against those shimmering ones, the bullet chat scrolled by again:

[“You mustn’t?” Now that’s interesting.]

[Guess who it is that, after Master runs away in the future, slaughters every monster on the entire mountain, kills his rival the Demon Lord, and drags Master back with blood-red eyes, making sure she can’t get out of bed for a month?]

[Tsk, tsk, tsk. I wonder who it is that will say it’s not enough later on, telling her to continue, and wanting even more? He even tries every trick in the book to coax Master into kissing him.]

[This contrast is so satisfying!!!]

Is this really the same Yuqing who walks the Path of Emotionlessness?

He is stiff, pedantic, cold, and aloof.

These words must be lies, right?

“Master.”

Shen Yuqing’s earlobes and neck were a dripping red. He gritted his teeth, seemingly no longer wanting to keep up the pretense, and his voice turned cold:

“What is happening between us… is improper.”

The cold trailing end of his voice trembled, making it incredibly alluring.

I’m doomed.

I love him even more now.

“How about this, Yuqing?”

I grabbed his lapels and pulled him toward me. My red lips caught the pure white silk over his eyes and pulled it away, meeting his moist, red phoenix eyes.

I smiled as I negotiated, “I don’t like forcing people to do things they don’t want to. If you can restrain the Peach Blossom Poison within six hours, I’ll let you go today. How about that?”

[Six hours? Master must be crazy. In this story, the Peach Blossom Poison is the most lethal kind of aphrodisiac. If the victim doesn’t find a cure, they’ll suffer the pain of ten thousand insects devouring their heart, or even end up Falling into Demonhood.]

He turned his face away.

“I hope Master is a woman of her word.”

“I’ll do whatever you say, my Good Disciple.

“But first, let Master have a kiss.”

I couldn’t help myself. Holding the white silk in my mouth, I leaned down to kiss him. The blood seeping from between our teeth stained the pure white fabric.

I laughed softly in his ear, my voice tender, “Good Yuqing, don’t go clinging to me later.”

Shen Yuqing pursed his lips and didn’t answer. He moved his feet, which were tied with red rope, hiding himself deep within the bed curtains.

I continued to watch the bullet chat with curiosity.

Within the time it took for an incense stick to burn, I managed to piece together the truth from those scattered fragments of words-the world I lived in was a spicy webnovel.

I was the female lead Master who lusted after her disciple, and Shen Yuqing was the male lead disciple who would rather die than submit at first, but would later turn from cold to obsessive.

In the text, he was cold and ethereal, self-disciplined and ritualistic-a total sickly beauty. He practiced cultivation extremely hard, but unfortunately, his natural talent was mediocre.

Seeing him like this, I had developed improper thoughts. After several attempts at poisoning and pestering him, this was the only time I had succeeded.

After this session of Dual Cultivation, Shen Yuqing’s spiritual energy would surge, forcibly breaking through the meridians sealed by a supreme master. He would transform from a mediocre disciple who barely passed despite working day and night into a prodigy of the immortal sects who could gain enlightenment just by glancing at a scroll.

Of course, my humiliation of him would twist his mind.

He would start to cling to me for Dual Cultivation out of revenge. It was similar to those stories where a beautiful enchantress forces a cold, righteous disciple into Falling into Demonhood, the latter goes crazy, and the female lead is captured back after faking her death for some “indescribable” plotlines.

I looked back at Yuqing.

The heat made his cheeks flush deep red.

“Don’t… don’t look at me.”

His voice was extremely seductive and soft, hoarse and captivating.

“Yuqing, your voice is the real aphrodisiac.”

I stated this fact calmly and innocently.

Shen Yuqing’s ears turned completely red. He bit his lip hard, trying his best to curl himself up.

From a pure, beloved disciple to a crazy puppy?

I really want to see that.

Acting quite wickedly, I broke our agreement and forcefully cupped his burning cheeks, making him look me in the eye.

The youth’s dark eyelashes trembled. Every blink was like the flapping of a butterfly’s wings. His moist black eyes looked fierce as he struggled to speak:

“Master, you can’t. We are master and disciple. This act is truly… truly scandalous and violates all ethics.”

“If you don’t tell and I don’t tell, no one will know.”

I remained unmoved.

As I leaned down, he dodged me in resistance.

Shen Yuqing struggled once more as if begging for mercy. Lowering his voice, he spoke the words I had taught him in the past, his tone thick with shame:

“Master Sister, you can’t…”

“Good Yuqing.”

I softened my voice and threw myself into his arms. My fingers, supple and boneless, rested on his half-bared shoulder where his robes had slipped. I looked as though I were on the verge of tears.

“Just give in to me.”

[This is so satisfying! Who wouldn’t be dazed by this? No wonder Shen Yuqing goes absolutely mad for her later on. She literally forced such a noble, upright immortal sect disciple to become a dark, obsessive lunatic.]

[Does anyone else love their visuals? I’m obsessed with both of them. A flirtatious wife and a shy husband-I totally get it.]

[The male lead can still endure this even after being poisoned by an aphrodisiac? A seductive beauty is holding you and crying with her clothes half-off-Shen Yuqing, are you even a man?]

The bullet comments gave me confidence.

I hooked my arms around Shen Yuqing’s neck, rubbing gently against the crook of his shoulder. Tilting my head, I said softly,

“Give me one kiss, and I’ll let you go… Mmph…”

The youth seemed unable to endure my chatter any longer. He lowered his head, sealing my mouth with a kiss. His technique was green, yet fierce.

I gave him a light nip.

Shen Yuqing suddenly snapped back to his senses and pulled away. His eyes flickered as he rasped, “I hope Master keeps her word.”

I smiled playfully. “I wasn’t finished. I’ll only let you go for the duration of an incense stick.”

“Master!”

Shen Yuqing called my title in exasperation. Seeing that my mind was made up today, he spoke with the resolve of one facing death:

“This disciple… finds it difficult to obey.”

“It’s fine. As your Master, I can handle a little disobedience.”

I had just placed my hand on his belt when I caught a glimpse of a bullet comment out of the corner of my eye:

[They’d be better off just dying together for love.]

[She should use her hands and feet while she can, before Shen Yuqing breaks them. Tomorrow, she’ll have to rely on Yuqing for everything.]

[I suspect Shen Yuqing was a ‘white lotus’ with a hidden dark side from the start. He sounds reluctant when he says ‘Master Sister,’ but his face is actually flushed red. It feels like he secretly enjoys saying it.]

[It should be a mix of love and hate. In the early stages, he cared too much about worldly ethics. Once he finally convinced himself to accept it, Master kept trying to run away. So, in the later stages, he falls into demonhood, cripples her immortal arts, and keeps her eyes covered with red silk all day, only removing it when she sees him. He imprisons her like a madman in a small courtyard filled with formations.]

[A dark, obsessive ghost who only lets her look at him? That’s actually pretty exciting. I remember in the original novel, the male lead said he was going out to kill demons, but he was actually lying to Master-he was watching her from the shadows the whole time.]

?

My movements paused.

I couldn’t stop thinking about that first comment.

Die for love?

Did I really torment Yuqing into becoming such a pervert?

It sounded quite thrilling.

But having my cultivation destroyed and my limbs broken…

Just thinking about it hurt.

Forget it.

There was no rush; I could take this slowly.

Under the youth’s gaze, which was filled with enough shame and indignation to make him want to die, I slowly withdrew my hand. I rubbed his beet-red earlobe and sighed, “Fine. Your Master is a well-known person of integrity. If you’d rather die than submit, it’s not impossible to give you some space for a while.”

I climbed off him and sat by the edge of the bed to straighten my clothes. Finally, I pulled a white porcelain bottle from my sleeve and poured three small red pills into my palm.

“This is the antidote,” I whispered.

Shen Yuqing’s breathing was ragged as he said with difficulty:

“Thank you-Master.”

Thin clouds veiled the moon, and the window was slightly ajar.

A cool breeze carried fallen petals into the room.

The cold moonlight spilled halfway across my body.

“Good Yuqing.”

I tucked the antidote under my tongue and looked down, cupping the youth’s flushed, handsome face with one hand. My eyes curved slightly, my smile both lazy and pure:

“There are only these three pills of the antidote left.”

Shen Yuqing grabbed my wrist in shame and anger, his knuckles turning white from the force.

After a moment of internal struggle, he leaned in and kissed me.

The antidote under my tongue was plundered away.

Shen Yuqing sat at the foot of the bed, circulating his energy to stabilize the chaotic spiritual qi racing through his body. He gathered his messy robes and stood up, stumbling for a few steps. Gripping the doorframe, he spoke in a raspy voice without looking back:

“This disciple will return to his room first.”
