The Poor Swordsman with Only Trickery - Chapter 7
Chapter 7
I ignored her and reached out toward her, feeling around her waist.
Sensing her body trembling, I paused for a second.
Then, I yanked the Storage Pouch from her waist.
I’d been eyeing this for a long time, and finally, it was mine.
The Female Lead was stunned.
She watched blankly as I made off with her Storage Pouch, not forgetting to also swipe the one belonging to her very much deceased Senior Brother.
Only then did she snap out of it: “You shameless scoundrel!”
Her whip lashed out at me again, even more fierce and relentless than before.
She was pushed to the limit; rage had completely swallowed her reason.
I dodged while offering a reminder: “You were just hit with Aphrodisiac Powder. Getting angry will only make the effects spread faster.”
She didn’t care, her beautiful face twisting slightly.
“Even if my body explodes today, I’m taking you down with me, you shameless bastard!”
I let out a series of protests: “Hey! How can you call me shameless? This is a tactical victory.”
The Female Lead wasn’t listening at all: “I once thought a Sword Cultivator would be upright and honorable, but I never imagined one could be so despicable and shameless!”
The Danmaku went wild with laughter:
[Fellow Daoist, you are single-handedly ruining the reputation of every Sword Cultivator out there!]
[Reputations can be good or bad. You used to be normal, but now you’re just a freak.]
I shouted at the top of my lungs: “After being caught red-handed peeping at Master while he bathed, I…”
The Female Lead froze.
My Lifebound Sword was already unsheathed. With a light tap of my toes, I landed on the long sword, preparing to fly away.
But I hadn’t gone more than a few steps before the blade was ensnared by her long whip.
The Female Lead sneered at me: “Trying the same trick twice? Don’t even think about running!”
I raised my hand, intending to knock her back.
Suddenly, a massive boom echoed through the sky, and a bolt of heavenly lightning struck toward me without warning.
But the Heavenly Dao forgot that the Female Lead’s whip was tied to my sword.
Inevitably, she got struck too.
The Female Lead and I crashed together.
When I opened my eyes again, the first thing I saw was my Senior Brother’s frost-cold face.
“Junior Sister, what exactly was that pill you gave me? Was it a Pill of Severed Feelings, or something else?”
The Danmaku continued its relentless chatter as usual:
[The gears of fate haven’t turned an inch, but the chain of life has completely fallen off.]
[It’s not that you have nowhere to go; it’s just that the only road left is a dead end.]
I didn’t dare meet Senior Brother’s sharp gaze, still stubbornly insisting on my lie.
“It was a Pill of Severed Feelings. Senior Brother, haven’t you felt free from the troubles of emotion since taking it?”
He gritted his teeth: “Say it one more time. What exactly was it!”
As he spoke, he had already drawn his sword.
Breaking into a cold sweat, I looked around frantically.
Senior Brother’s strength far exceeded mine. If I actually told him it was a Pill of Sterilization…
There was no doubt about it-he would definitely cast aside our sect bond and kill me.
I shifted my gaze to the Female Lead, who was collapsed nearby.
“Senior Brother, forget about the Pill of Severed Feelings for a second. Look! The Hehuan Sect Saintess was just hit with Aphrodisiac Powder. If you don’t help her, her body will surely explode!”
Senior Brother looked half-convinced. The Female Lead’s face was flushed, her collar was in disarray, and she lay there limp and weak.
A realization suddenly struck the Danmaku:
[Wait, if she’s so stingy she even pockets the Pill of Severed Feelings herself, how could she bear to spend money on Aphrodisiac Powder?]
I felt guilty, but I kept urging him: “Go on, Senior Brother! Hurry!”
He looked at the seductive state of the Female Lead, yet remained unmoved.
Just then, the Female Lead opened her eyes. Seeing Senior Brother, she didn’t say a word-she simply raised her hand and delivered a sharp slap.
“Lecher!”
The Danmaku felt bad for my Senior Brother:
[What a huge misunderstanding. The Male Lead is basically your best girlfriend right now; he’s completely lacking the ‘capability’!]
I kept backing away, trying to seize the chance to slip away.
However, both of their gazes landed directly on me.
I took off running, and the two of them gave chase: “Don’t run!”
Only an idiot wouldn’t run.
I hadn’t even been smug for two seconds before my foot stepped into thin air.
